My ships might not be able to jump but it's been stated hundreds of times in books etc. that ships have automated failsafes that would turn off the hyperdrives preventing my ships from being ripped apart.
Really? Because they seemed to jump just fine in your post so I just sort of assumed that those failsafes had been overridden. Now if you'd said "powering up hyperdrives" then it might be plausible. But you didn't. You said they actually jumped. So I went with that. Your ships jumped, and are now behind my ships, out of range. In very small pieces mind you but by god you did it!
I mean honestly, even if they weren't, there were just so many things wrong with what you did that you just had to take losses. You powered up and used the hyperdrives in one post. That's pretty stressful to your engines, as I stated in my post. You did that within a gravity well, so I think it can be assumed that that would place additional stress on the hyperdrives.
Hey, look, I didn't force you to do something stupid. But I'm tired of you guys screwing up and then getting to go back and fix what you did. You screwed up. You dashed off a three line post with minimal thought and now you are feeling the consequences of your actions. I know you think this is all a big joke and we're going to let you guys continue to be above the rules in every way shape and form, but you're wrong.
Either put some thought into your posts or shut the @#%$ up.
