*takes a fat cigarra, lights it, and takes a deep drag*
My kudos to you guys for writing a good piece. I've read pieces of it here and there and enjoyed it. This thread reminds me of the time we at Star Wars Tales celebrated the conclusion of The Battle of Ithor which lasted two years in writing it.
CoC PT IV was the second RP I read fully when I joined TRF. At that time I was only allowed on the 'net for short spans of time, so I would load up TRF and open five pages of CoC at once, and then disconnect.
Took me a few days to complete, but it was well worth it.
Anyhow, you can probably see why Seth didn't want a restart. Think of all the planets VC and CR would have taken...
It was originally intended as a planetary grab for VC and CR.
Although, when it became clear it would not work out they continued on anyway, thus bringing me to the conclusion that there was an IM chat one day...
Seth: Hmmm I have no planets Omnae: What if we used CoC to get planets Seth: How Omnae: Well look at the number of words, we would own half the galaxy Seth: My god Omnae you are a genius Omnae: Yes, yes I am Seth signs off Seth signs on Seth: Sorry, stupid computer Seth: Anyway, you're a genius Seth signs off Seth signs on Seth: Damnit Seth: Anyway, just saying that plan is the bollox Seth: You're a genius Seth signs off Seth signs on Seth: FFS! Seth signs off
I can't believe I was involved in such an epic... however minutely.
Congrats on the dedication of all involved. I have quit and returned to roleplaying 3 times, at least, during the duration of said thread. So much respect.
