Well, I wasn't quite sure myself. Tir was trained by Vodo, but is not a member of any of the force factions or orders. His training was very non-traditional and not in the manner of a Jedi.
My character, Drake Cromwell, is a Force User, although I still don't know who I need to talk to in order to clear up the specifics of his abilities. Refer to my two latest posts in the Battlegrounds for information about his Order (the Orlean Outriders) and an in-character post involving his use of the the Force. I hope I haven't stepped on any toes or overreached the boundaries of what's acceptable.
I read your attempted kill, looks pretty good to me. Independant force characters are generally allowed to start above 'padawan' level provided they don't interact much with other official force users until they reach the level they are writing at. It appears you're probably ranking yourself near a Jedi Knight. If you want to stay at that level you should complete the requirements for advancement to Jedi Knight and apply as such. I don't think you'll have too much trouble getting it.
Nice RP. I always enjoy when there's a different species that views the Force from an entirly different angle than that of the Jedi. I've done it myself, it makes for a good write. Welcome to TRF.
What exactly are the requirements for Jedi Knight ranking?
I'm planning several more clashes between Drake and Argus before their mutual vendetta is resolved. Argus is currently the more powerful of the two, but not by much. Drake holds his own due primarily to his alien physiology and willingness to use dirty tricks a Jedi would never contemplate.
Here are the requirements. The training thread can be subsituted for something else, like your current RP. You just need to cover all the basics, really.
I'm kinda fuzzy on what a 'training thread' entails, but it sounds like I'll be doing a lot of flashback posts to explain how he got to where he is now.
I'm not sure, but I think I got my duel post down, what do you think? ;)
