I've always wanted to portray the Coalition as a place of diversity united by a common cause, that sort of feel given by the rebellion and the Old Republic from the Star Wars movies and from the books - and, to a great extent, it has become such a place. However, one of the most important things in such an undertaking is making sure that everyone else knows this as well, because in a writing environment where people may very easily end up writing with, against, or alongside the place you and others have created, consistency is key. In that effort, I've compiled a little summary of the four major 'subgroups' of the Coalition, recognizable on the map.
It includes a few words that describe that subgroup's stronger traits, as well as a few characters who operate in that area, the races most commonly found there, and the average fleet composition. Note that any Unknowns or ? are assumed to be filled with some other ship until such a time as we've R&Ded ships to fill those roles for that group.
I hope it serves as a quick reference guide and information sheet for those writing with the Coalition.
