Turning his chair to the Holonet News Cameras, Gwatch, with a worried look on his face began to speak, his voice seemingly calm, yet revealing a hint of worry. He shufled through a small stack of paper before he started speaking, his hands trembling for a few moments.

"Recent developments within the Interstellar Conglomerate have lead to the dropping out of three major Corporations, The Vinda Corporation, Cryonics Industries, and The Trade Federation. In light of these developments, IDTech has chosen to cancel it's alliance with the Trade Federation. Our honorable Viceroy, Nelix Galdra only had this to say after these horrible events..."

As Gwatch turned to a large viewing port behind him, the face of the Viceroy, sitting in a large leather chair with his hands leatly folded, his fingertips neatly alligned, he began to speak to the figure of Gwatch, who was sitting in a smaller chair across from the Viceroy, in what appeared to be an interview.

"Mister Galdra, in light of recently occuring events, can you describe to me why you feel that IDTech might have decided to sever it's alliance with The Trade Federation." Gwatch asked in a questioning accent.

"Yes, Mister Runecourt, it's quite simple. Though I was reluctant to leave the Interstellar Conglomerate, following the lead of Vinda Corp, and Cryonics Industries, I was somewhat worried about what IDTech's reaction would be. You see, Mister Raktus, in my opinion, is a man that admires trust, and if you sever that trust, and abandond him, he will abandond you just the same. I would expect nothing less of a man of business."

Gwatch nodded his head, and flipped a paper over as he continued.

"Mister Galdra, is it true that you have ordered the closing of the all Confederate, and Federation borders in light of this recent development with IDTech."

"Yes,..." Nelix started as he folded his leg, and shifted his weight around, trying to get confortable. "I have ordered that all traffic coming from IDTech, or Conglomerate controlled territories to be barred, due to the severing of communications with IDTech. Our close friends and allies, Seinar Fleet Systems would be the only company that is a member of the Conglomerate to be allowed to even approach the border, however all Seinar ships must be screened, and searched before entering our territory. One can never be to cautious."

Gwatch nodded his head for a moment before the camera faded back to the live shot of Gwatch, and his nervous look.

"Reports indicate that the border has indeed been closed to all traffic coming from IDTech controlled territories, and member groups of the Conglomerate. I have here a document released by the Neimoidian government, which I would like to read to you know...

<font size=-2>Trade Federation Border Articles - Closed Borders with IDTech, and Conglomerate Worlds

Military Defense Pact: Serial Number 0143762

<li> All Traffic attempting to enter Trade Federation territory from IDTech, or Conglomerate factions, with the acception of Seinar Fleet Systems will be barred from Federation controlled territory

<li> All IDTech, or Conglomerate Military Traffic within a ten mile range of any Trade Federation World will be considered an act of aggression, and met with proper sanctions, or militaristic affairs.

<li> Any Civilian craft attempting to illegally enter Trade Federation Territory from IDTech, of Conglomerate controlled worlds, with the acception of Seinar Fleet Systems, will be seized, and destroyed.

<li> Any Federation traffic descovered to be carrying IDTech members will be seized, it's crew arrested, and the IDTech member put on trial for attempted sabotage, terrorism, and violation of a Military defense act, enacted by the Trade Federation.

<li> The Trade Federation border is currently under military patrol. Any hostility on behalf of IDTech will be taken as a direct declaration of war, and will be met with bitter resistance. All warships within a current ten mile range will withdrawl immediatly, or be seized under Neimoidian law.

<li> Seinar Fleet Systems ships will be stopped at the border, and scanned, as well as boarded to search for any possible IDTech, or Conglomerate crew members. If any are discovered, the ship will be seized, and it's entire crew arrested

<li> Any act of aggression will be met with the requested activation of several alliances that the Trade Federation has.

<li> All IDTech Diplomats, and Representatives have been expelled from Federation controlled planets, or planets with a strong Federation influence or presence."</font size=-2>

Gwatch then turned back to the Holonet camera, and began to speak, his voice even more shakey than before.

"Well there you have it folks. This is Gwatch Runecourt, signing off."

"Well there you have it folks. This is Gwatch Rune..."

Before he could finish the holonet became scrambled as a fast opening GNN news bulliten opening flashed across the net. Fading back in from that opening a visably distrought Harkonnen sat behind his desk, head shaking from side to side

"A very sad display of aggression on behalf of the Trade Federation, I must say. Worse than economic sanctions against our mother corporation, The Federation proposes to arrest our employees, kill our innocents and destroy our property.

"We here at IDtech have shown nothing but noble intentions to the betterment of all corporate holdings, and while we could respect the federations withdrawl from The Conglomerate, we will not respect the reasons for their withdrawl and these reasons that would have us discontinue our original and seperate alliance with the federation.

"Their displeasure would be understandable, but to threaten the lives of our employees with 'trial' under the biased Federation courts, and even the seizure and destruction of our ships. It is painfully evident what the Federations intentions are, and they are not peaceful in nature.

"IDTech would urge the galaxy at large to not give in to the hostile nature of this subversive organization and its warlike ways. The Trade federations border articles will be copied and posted on most holonet sites for further public review by our GNN services. This is Arakis Harkonnen, signing off"

Press Release

A sad day in the history of the galaxy.

With a war waging not far from their own borders, IDTech Corporation has decided that an alliance with the Trade Federation is no longer profitable, and severed it.

I guess that nothing less can be expected from a con man like Heir Raktus, however.

IDTech seems afraid that their employees may be arrested, and considers the Trade Federation doing so aggression...? The Trade Federation has every right to defend themselves from IDTech, the same IDTech who attacked the Tholatin Republic for no better reason than his personal grudge against the Tholatin leader.

The Galactoic Defence Initiative is dedicated to keeping the peace in this galaxy, and this is a special message to Heir Raktus and IDTech:

This is the second time you have openly threatened one of our allies. And once again, you know what will become of you f you chose to try and make the Trade Federation pay for your childish grudge.

Regardless of past associations, any attack on the Trade Federation will be met with full resistance by our forces.

The choice is yours.

Press Release:

[i]GDI is an Empire of its own plain and simple, from the days of its creation it has sought power under the guise of a peacekeeping organization, but always when the chance to keep the peace arises they fail in all respects.

Any galactic citizen can plainly see we have threatened no one and is also no doubt questioning The Galactic Defense Initiative's actions over this event. Perhaps this is due to the ill fated name which GDI has named itself, while GDI does defend a small portion of the galaxy it is biased in what portions it defends, and most often when it does take action those actions are directed against the wrong party simply due to the fact of who offers more gain to the GDI itself.

As for Tholatin, Mr. Drayson, Tholatin was a supporter of, at that time, The Rouge Empire. For the betterment of the galaxy at hand I pledged MY forces, at my own personal risk, to help the galaxy and to keep Tholatin reinforcements from the battles at hand. You on the otherhand ally with them to this day, leading one to question your motives Mr. Drayson.

Press Release/Statement;

It is painfully evident that a major blow has been struck to the body of the ISC. Sienar Fleet Systems CEO and temporary ISC Chancellor, Ren Janggar, wishes to extend the olive branch to the companies and they're benificiaries who have departed from the Conglomorate and hopes that this does not threaten any actions from or towards Sienar Fleet Systems outwith the Intersteller Conglomorate.

SFS along with IDT remain vigilant in the spirit that they will continue collectively to push ISC back into the fold through the current complications.

Press Release

Ah, Mr. Raktus, if only your petty lies could bring truth to this manner. I refer not to the attack on the Tholatin Republic which stemmed from their involvement at Tholatin, but from your attack on them after they had declared their allegiance with you.

The GDI does what it must to protect those of the galaxy who deserve defending, and while Mr. Raktus may consider us biased because we protect others from IDTech Corporation and not IDTech itself, this is because IDTech has on several occasions made attempts to wage war with no better reason that that Mr. Raktus has a personal grudge against a faction leader(1), or simply a thirst for power.

I refer to the attempted actions at Tholatin, the desire to assault the Divine Order at Dreena, and of course this most recent attempt against the Trade Federation.

What Mr. Raktus' problems may be I do not know, but he obviously does not wish to see any competition rise against his precious IDTech, and he seems to be willing to go to great lengths to keep his own faction in power.

The Galactic Defence Initiative will not see another war stemmed from Heir Raktus' personal greed. Any attacks on any group, allied or otherwise (save for those blacklisted by us) with the GDI, will be met with full and unrestricted resistance.

That is all.

(1) For reference, Raktus' wanting to attack the Divine Order (which he asked me to help him do) and his desire to attack the Trade Federation both rise from OOC grudges that stemmed from his own immaturity.

Press Release

Perhaps only if your comments were based on reality and not your own twisted version of it. IDTech has never assulted our own allies during a time of peace, and as such GDI has no evidence to the contrary.

GDI does what it must to gain power for itself in the only way it knows how, sad really, but to each his own, as long as it doesnt effect me and my corporation, which in this case it does.

There were never actions taken on Tholatin, Never a threat made to Dreena, and your accusations of an attempt against the trade federation are as unfounded as any other.

Any actions made in hostile manner by GDI will be a breach of Agreement made by Mr. Istaal himself and will raise serious doubts on the minds of his backers as to the legitamacy of his claims. Also, claims of broken suits will be brought to bear upon Istaals person as well as joint suit against GDI as a whole in the galactic courts. Breach of contract is as serious as any other corporate crime Mr. Istaal.

OOC: GDI wouldnt know about Tholatin, but then again, u dont fully read threads to know that the Prince doesnt know whats happening and the the system was blocked of all communications, and as a further point, I droped the thread completely as a show of good will towards Kamon. As for TDO, that was completely OOC proposition I made to you, you made it IC, of which IDTech had nothing to do with as it was an OOC proposition and not an IC action. Becuase TF isnt my ally anymore doesnt mean I wish to attack them, get real

Of course not. The mobilization of IDTech warships and the subsequent cutting off of communications from Tholatin is purely coincidence, Mr. Raktus.

This is merely a warning to you, Mr. Raktus. Any actions taken against the Trade Federation will be met with resistance. Chose to take that as an act of hostility on our part if you will, but the ball is in your court.

As for an agreement made by Mr. Istaal, I wouldn't know anything about that. But, in looking at the agreement set forth, it cleary states Not engage in offensive attacks on IDT holdings without being provoked.

An attack on any of our allies will be considered 'provoking' us into action in their defence. Yes, Mr. Raktus, an agreement was made. But the GDI also made an agreement with other factions, and those agreements are much more important to us.

The simple fact that the Trade Federation feels the need to lock its borders against you does not bode well for you, and thus defensive actions will be taken if any IDTech ships move against the Federation.

OOC: You made an offer to attack IC. If I had said yes, you would have attacked them. Likewise, I am certain that if I hadn't entered this thread you would have attacked the Trade Federation. Every time you've had an OOC grudge you've wanted to attack someone, why should this be an different?

OOC: Ill stop arguing with you IC due to the fact that your last press release was of good enough calibur to be acceptable. But as for this, I hold no Grudge towards nelix OOC. We settled our differences and as a matter of fact I work for him as another character. my Comment to you about attacking TDO was made over messenger, not a contact in an RP or any other thread.
