"I've never seen a backswimmer do something like that before." Joked the male anchor as the image beside his head disappeared.
"Me either John, that's some talented backswimmer there." Commented the female co-anchor as she turned and smiled at the man seated beside here.
She turned towards the camera once more and gave a smile as she read from the teleprompter. "Now it seems we have a story developing at the Galactic Coalition Bremerton Naval Decommission yards. We go now to Morian Olintor on the seen at Bremerton."
The news anchor woman disappeared along with the studio set as the view shifted to a light haired man standing beside a large viewport. Most of the view outside was off black space with stars sprinkled all over it. Off to the right, however, was a massive dock facility. Rows of durasteel framework stretched out into space and lining these were hulls of what used to be warships.
Almost all were completely stripped and had no markings on them whatsoever. Of in the distance, though, if one were to look carefully, something moving along the darkness could be seen. It was hard to make out, but it seemed to be something large and moving slowly towards open space.
"Yes Brenda, good evening. This is Morian Olintor here live at the Bremerton Naval Decommission yards. What you see behind me is the expansive Bremerton Facilities which hold tens upon tens of older decommissioned Naval warships. A source inside Bremerton had informed us of an increase in activity as of six hours ago and we came down to investigate."
The man paused before continueing. "It appears that Stellar Enterprises is not wasteing any time after signing that impressive deal with the Galactic Coalition. Just one day after its signing personnel from the growing corporation have decended upon this yard and proceeded to inspect what turned out to be one of the MC-80b Star Cruisers that was agreed upon for sale. Represenatives from Stellar Enterprises have informed us that they were very satisfied with the warship and that it would be returned to its former glory as a defensive vessel.
"When we inquired about a name for the ship we were told they were looking at different ones, but that the MC-80b would most likely be named the Mon Remonda. They said they wanted to honor the ship and so they decided on the name of one of the most famous of the 80b class ships. Without disclosing too much information the companies representative told us that for the rebuilding of the ship and her sister ship they hired many former Mon Calamari shipyard workers and even a few former project managers."
Once against the man paused, but this time he turned his back to the camera and looked out of the viewport. "If you look closer you could see Stellar Enterprises tugs moving the cruiser out of the yards and into open space as we speak."
The camera man moved towards the window as well and started to zoom in towards the yard's exit. Finally the image of the large MC-80b Cruiser came into focus. The organic design slowly moved through space as is some gigantic animal that was both beautiful and dangerous at the same time. From the rear it could be see that all the engines had been removed and all the weapons blisters were now empty. There was nothing left onboard the ship but stale air and durasteel bulkheads.
As the camera panned up and down the ship, one could just make out a pair of small, but powerful tugs as they pulled the ship out of the space harbor. "There you have it folks, the beginning of the rebirth of an once great and powerful warship. Before I end this story, however, I want to inform all who are interested that when complete the new Mon Remonda will be publically unveiled at a Stellar Enterprises ceremony. This is Morian Olintor reporting on the scene for GNN, back to you in the studio Brenda."
Once more the imaged of the studio returned showing the two anchored seated side by side at a large desk. "Thank you for that report Morian."
The anchorwoman turned to the front camera. "In other developments that involve Stellar Enterprises, the company says it plans to expanse operations into numberous Coalition planetary systems. They are said to be interested in taping into the work force of planets with high unemployment rates. Sources also seem to indicate that mining operations are also being looked into in numberous different sectors.
"I'm getting word, however, that we have to go to commercial now. We're be back with lots more in a few moments."
