Message From Jutraal

After several minutes of waiting, peering at the screen that simply displayed the Jutraalian seal, it faded out into the glowing eyed visage of the once reknown Emperor Fearsons. He appears his typically calm and cool self.

"Greetings," he begins, his voice smoothe and gentle, "I am sure most of you know me, and for those who do not, I am Emperor Fearsons of the Jutraalian Empire." He looked around again. The camera backs up slightly and on either side is seen the traditional PeFauna, and beside them are the royal advisors and military commanders in their crisp and tight military uniforms.

"The galaxy has changed much in my absence, in my disappearence after the Imperial War. For this you have my apologies, the Jutraalian Empire - while it was my heart and soul - was being twisted and torn from the inside and a calling came to me from my homeworld, and much that I needed was discovered there.

"It has recently come to my attention that during the turn of the tide - the destruction of the Republic at the hands of the Empire - and with the surgence of the Sovereign Chiss Empire, and even the rapid decline of my empire, that the galaxy has changed in ways that seem only beneficial to our society, to the ways of life.

"But I do not expect you yet to welcome me with open arms. No, I would not expect that after such a quick abandonment that which I have offered. However, I do return with the forces of the Jutraalian Empire, beginning with the men and women who so valiantly came with me to Csilla during our crusade and expedition.

"It is my regret that the expedition was, more or less, a failure - as we were forced to withdraw prematurely for reasons that I cannot at this time disclose - but it should be noted that the Jutraalian Empire has returned.

"We return to the promised land, to Jutraal, taken from the hands of the Galactic Defense Initiative during the Alderaani War. My palace has finished as is seen, thanks to my good friend Jander Sunstar. The Jutraalian Empire shall rebuild its lost and former glory during this time of crisis, and we shall not leave our people to suffer as has occured in my absence.

"It has come to my attention that while the Jutraalian Empire managed to live on its last limb during my absence it does indeed require an emperor to rule an empire. During my...envenomed coma Admiral Blackblade attempted to sell out the Jutraalian Empire to the New Order, and our enemies, our...former enemies, the Galactic Defense Initiative, closed in all around us. The Shadow Jedi fell into chaos, and I nearly lost my fiancee, whom my friends have told me has abandoned me though that shall not be addressed here, and our forces were losing morale quicker than we were the war. It was only with my return that the Jutraalian Empire was able to thrive.

"And so I return now, to feed the fuel to the fire of the Jutraalian Empire. I have returned, and may the empire grow again to its former glory. My first statement of business as the emperor is to free the slavery that has come to Jutraal during my absence. It has come to my attention that the planet is currently locked in some sort of a dispute, whereupon an old governor - a loyalist to the outlaw former Admiral Zen - has taken up the forces and conducted slavery.

"My forces already are eradicating the slave camps there, and it should be noted that the Jutraalian Empire shall make later broadcasts based on this occurence."

He takes a breath and peers out. There are several flashes from the crowd as cameras snap for later news holos.

"My second act as emperor is to welcome our other governments - the Mon Cal Republic, the New Order, the Sovereign Chiss Empire, the Azguardian Galactic Military, the Hapan Consortium, and the Farquak Empire - to meet me in my new palace in Jutraal to discuss the ever growing need for affairs of justice...and peace throughout the galaxy. If they are willing and they seek such I implore the need to meet me there.

"And as for my third and final act I request that LFX Industrial, run by the former leader of the Galactic Defense Initiative, Dxun Isstal, to as well meet me at the Imperial Capital of Jutraal, along with Tholatin Drive Yards and IDTech to discuss trade and commerce. Now with the galaxy in this weakened state it is not the time for embago, death, and murder, it is the time for discussion, trade, and friendship."

He peered around.

"That is all, if there are any questions?"

At first the room remains silent, though Fearsons points toward the crowd.

"Yes you?" he asks. The camera pans over and a man with a Kuati hairstyle rises, and he begins to speak, though a microphone is not on him and it is difficult to hear. About halfway through the microphone arrives.

"...certain that other forces won't use this opportunity to pound on you and eradicate any chance of a new Jutraal Imperium to rise to power and threaten others' forms of commerce and sovereign?"

There is a moment of silence as the emperor peers down at the podeum, then he looks back up.

"It has been seen in the past where both jealous and uh...zealous forces have used the desire to attain power and to...to keep other sovereign powers from rising has led to war, especially with the Jutraalian Empire as was seen with the New Alliance during the Almanian Wars...but I am confident that now during this time the galaxy is more willing to conduct diplomatic negotiations. I think they'd be more willing to speak with upraised palms, not arms.

"But...on the slavery issue, I do realize that others will point this toward a potential...potential uh chance to tag propaganda on us and indicate that our governors cannot be trusted. It is true that we have had past traitors - Admiral Schmoe and the Chimeran Syndicate being the most significant - and the Imperialistic rogue Admiral Zen who attemptd to steal the Death's Hand, but this is to be expected in any structured military. It won't happen as long as I hold power within the Jutraalian Empire however."

Several more reporters issue their questions, mainly about the slavery issue, and Fearsons answers to the best of his ability.

Moments after Chadd finished his speech, Kamon sent a message to Chadd.

Message X-23
Destination: New Alderaan

Chadd
I will consent to meeting with you whenever you deem fit. Trade is always welcome as long as you oppose the forces of evil. There is one important matter i wish to speak with you about in private. When you have a time and place in mind, drop a line.
Your friend,
Kamon

The following is an article published in several prominent holonet news magazines throughout the galaxy.

Three Cheers for Emperor Fearsons

Chadd Fearsons once again resurfaces, to pre-recorded applause and carefully rehearsed freedom-loving bravado. A convenient return after a convenient absence during a time of crisis.

While others remained to fight a plague which brought down an empire and nearly ravaged the galaxy, Chadd Fearsons, my ever-ambiguous former-student, returns only after said fighting is done, to pounce on a delicate galactic situation bearing proclamations of peace, friendship, love, and fuzzy bunnies.

This, after disappearing shortly following his construction of one of the largest weapons known to the sentient species of our galaxy, and then conveniently taking a nap throughout an entire year of Imperial galactic domination during which their holdings grew to well over 1000 worlds.

What, I wonder, might we expect from Mr. Fearsons this time down the rabbit hole? Jedi, Rogue Jedi, Shadow Jedi, embittered emperor, empassioned savior, brutal dictator or champion of freedom? The esteemed Chadwick Fearsons has flip-flopped sides so many times, you'd think he was trying to go to sleep on a bed made of granite.

Wait, wait, wait, don't say it, let me guess -- you're back to free your homeworld of the brutal oppression of slavery and and the terrible, tragic plight of an illigitimate regime, right? Right. And in its place, you'll institute your own government, which I am sure was established through all sorts of throroughly democratic procedures. Hence the title "emperor". So many democratically elected officials adopt that name. Like Palpatine, for instance. God, I loved Palpatine. What a friendly individual.

I notice that none of the "reporters" whose holonet stations forked over enough payola to get a word in with our beloved emperor asked any of these questions, or even raised the issue. More free media and democracy, I suppose.

Put another quarter in the propaganda machine and see what falls out...

Gash Jiren, awfully critical for a Jedi Master isn't he? I mean sure, it's the job of a Jedi to monitor those of the galaxy and defend the members of the galaxy and criticize where need be, but this is borderline bullying isn't it? Every single action Emperor Fearsons has done, both in the past and now, has been judged and criticized regardless of what it is, by "Master Jiren".

Diplomatic talks are called propagandical slander, acts of defensive conflict are called aggressions of war. Can nothing make this Jedi Master happy? Perhaps it is simple prejudice. Perhaps it is jealousy?

Whatever it is, it is this inquisitor's opinion that Master Jiren should simply grow up.

Would he prefer that Emperor Fearsons did not arrive at Jutraal? That he let the slave owners maintain their practices of malnutrition, mistreatement, sadism, and forced manual labor? Of course! Because then the emperor could have nothing to put under his belt, and the Savior against Thrawn could continue to smite him from afar!

Cowardice is what I call it.

For once why doesn't someone in the galaxy - especially someone who oh so preaches of peace - get up, leave their personal desires behind, and actually do something for the galaxy that doesn't involve the pointless insults and degradation of someone who genuinely tries something just?

But that's right, it doesn't matter what the emperor does, it's wrong because Mighty Master Jiren says so, right?

Perhaps the Rogue Jedi Master should grow up a bit, perhaps he should learn how to do his job instead of stand around and focus his life on writing meaningless and lie-ridden news reports.

Propaganda machine?

Accusations of government controlled media?

Perhaps Jiren should adhere to his own statements, looking beyond what he so desperately wants to be the truth, and look to see what is the truth.

Where was the glorious emperor when I moved the last of the Republic, in alliance with the empire, in a suicide mission against Tilaric Brel and his New Empire, putting aside petty grudges that the galaxy might be delivered from the horrific Wrath virus which killed nearly tens of billions?

Where was the glorious emperor when my Jedi intervened in the brutal Sith assault on The Jedi Order of naboo?

Ah. Right. Sleeping.

How dare anyone, least of all the despotic government last guilty of the construction of a brutal superweapon, accuse me of complacence?

Perhaps the Rogue Jedi Master should grow up a bit...

I don't believe that such a grade-school insult needed to be repeated. For an inquisitor, your mannerisms mark you in desperate need of taking your own advice. Ah, but why bother? You can continue to talk out of both sides of your mouth from the safety of annonymity about individuals who have, cumulatively, sacrificed more for the safety of all good people than you could hope to in your miopic lifetime.

Cowardice is what I call it.

Yes, I'm sure, I'm quite a coward. God knows, I've sat behind a desk most of my life, never engaging once in frontline combat or placing my life in danger. Oh, perhaps except for...

What an idiotic, hypocritical, and generally self-degrading comment.

Actually, that wisdom can be applied to the entire diatribe.

I cannot speak for the Union of Free Worlds and our esteemed Hegemon, but LFX Industrial is pleased to welcome Mr. Fearsons back to our galaxy. We will offer any and all specisatarium assistance possible to the inhabitants of Jutraal... however, we cannot, without sufficent proof and reason, submit soldiers to an invasion of a sovereign system.

And may I ask that the esteemed Master Jiren, and the Inqusitor, take their petty war of words elsewhere?

EDIT: Sorry, just removing that broken sig...
