Events on Abregado-rae lead to questions concerning ORS leadership</font>

In a shocking turn of events today, the Imperial High Command has released holoimages of death and devestation on the surface of Abregado-rae. The planet, liberated earlier in the month by forces of the New Order, has been revelling in its new-found freedom since that day.

However, in recent hours all contact with the planet has been cut off, and citizens began to fear the worst. Now, with new images available from the Empire, fears have been confirmed.

Earlier today, a task force led by the Star Destroyer Timeless entered the system and opened fire on the capital city. Reports indicate that a shopping mall was destroyed in the initial volley, as well as several square kilometres of residential housing.

The screen clears to reveal the fleet firing on the planet, with images of turbolaser blasts striking civilian targets indiscriminantly. Smoke drifts up over the city.

Several thousand deaths are already confirmed.

Images made their way out of the system for some minutes before enemy jamming interfered, blacking out all communications in the system. Following these events, members of the Imperial High Command drafted a letter to the Outer-Rim Sovereignity, to whom the fleet is registered.

The document, some hundred and sixty pages long, calls for the immediate cesation of targetting of civilians in the on-going conflict. The document lists the names of all 384 254 killed thus far by Sovereignity forces, most in the destruction of Cloud City and Taloraan City some days ago.

"That civilians should be declared legitimate military targets by the Outer-Rim Sovereignity... is of great concern to the leaders and peoples of the New Order." One section of the letter read. "Even more so that your leaders should willfully target civilian population centres. These actions are of the greatest concern, and should be stopped immediatly."

No word on the consequences of the Sovereignity's targetting of civilians has been officially released, but one official said that "if this continues, President Griff will learn the meaning of the word 'pain'."

Critics of the New Order contend that civilian casualties are a part of war. Imperial officials acknoweldge this, but mantain that purposefully targetting civilians is a gross violation of Intergalactic Law.

Some critics have also stated that the Empire "invites" such action by placing important military installations near civilian population centres. However, the holos attained from Abregado-rae clearly show the ORS fleet targetting the shopping centre, with no military targets in view.

The document, sent today to all leaders of the Coalition with copies appended to every soldier and populant of ORS systems, calls for all parties to stop targetting civilians and make all efforts to prevent civilian casualties.

From an Undisclosed Location

I, Admiral Ralen Me'Vere, offer my condolences to the seven civilians killed in the fray, however I should like to point out that simply because you choose to hide behind civilians does not mean I shan't pursue you.

Your cowardice in this entire debacle shocks me to the core and I expected more from Imperial soldiers. My studies of Telan Desaria and Simon Kaine have turned up men of at least relative honor. When my forces entered Abregado-rae I was shocked to my very foundation.

I am ashamed to know that you hold the leashes of so many star systems, that you to one end and one end alone attempt to dictate the very lives of persons in and about each of your planets. That you arm them with guns and order they fight.

To what end?

I am ashamed. This is a sad day for soldiery when one makes up tapes, dresses soldiers as civilians, and hides targets within civilian territories.

My forces have fired upon strictly military targets. It is not my responsibility to defend your civilians, it is my responsibility to make sure that you no longer pose an operable threat to my forces.

Your cowardice here shows me that perhaps I may not even need to fight you to prevent that. You are no threat. You are chilidren, infatile children who make up stories such as three hundred thousand dead.

Unfortunately the circumstances surrounding the ongoing conflict and blockade of Abregado-rae are classified at this time, though I have promised President Griff a full press conference upon my victory there.

Know this Imperial High Command:

As long as you hide your military installations inside of civilian cities, you will be the only ones responsible for their deats. I will not have the blame on my hands.

As for the confirmed casualties...perhaps you are simply unable to count. There have not even been more than one hundred fifty casualties, and that is going a bit far. If you must know...amongst them, ninety-five percent were Imperial soldiers or militia you armed and ordered to fight.

The remaining five were those whom you hide behind.

Do not shield yourselves with the lives of the innocent and play the wounded duck with me Empire.

We all remember well the horrors you ensued during the Civil War, we remember well the vicious persecution, the religious bias, the xenophobia and racism, and most of all we remember your propaganda.

We remember the "trash compactor" that the "Rebel Alliance planned to convert into a Death Star" that the Emperor "sacrificed himself to defend". We remember that piece of propaganda well.

We remember, Empire.

And as long as you continue this childishness, civilians will suffer not by my hand.

But by yours.

Of course, it is well known these documents were never issued that the High Command likes to so slander because such was never written, was never distributed, and shan't be accepted.

As much as we could use the Imperial-brand toilet paper, my men have standards...they prefer to wipe their asses with something more clean than the scum of Bhindi Drayson.

Perhaps she might show herself soon, or maybe the allure of hiding behind human bodies is too much for her.

'Insane' commander's remarks hold no worth on Imperial worlds</font>

Commentrary by Marcus Lodd.

Everyday, I see it becoming more and more clear that the Galactic Coalition and her allies not only willfully target civilians, but always make their attempts to push blame away, or to claim that even the most horrific deaths never happened.

Admiral Ralen Me'Vere is no different, it seems.

Fortunately for the galaxy, the lies of such men have long since lost any audience they ever had. I find it highly ammusing that Admiral Me'Vere can speak of 'honour' while his crew continues to fire on a city populated by civilians. Who can speak of cowardice, while sitting a hundred kilometres above his target and pounding it with his mamoth Star Destroyers?

The people of Abregado-rae are like the people of every other world in the Empire. They do not fight because they are ordered to. They fight because they know that life under a man like Admiral Me'Vere would be a thousand times worse. What rights are these people - free under the Empire - to have under a government that would attack the citizens it is "liberating" from orbit?

Imperial and civilian forces on the ground have put forth the figures already presented to you. Mr. Me'Vere denies them. On what? On what his warships' sensors tell him? On what he can see, from his position kilometres above the world?

Mr. Me'Vere's sensors cannot even tell the difference between a shopping centre and a military installation! Or perhaps they simply do not care. Dozens of square kilometres of Abregado-rae - residential zones, commercial centres, and industrial sectors - have been obliterared from orbit by the forces of 'Admiral' Me'Vere.

I find the character of the Sovereignity's officers severely lacking. Tell me again, who speaks of cowardice?

Pounding civilians - civilians fighting to protect their homeworld from a ruthless and determined enemy - is the only cowardice I see in this matter.

The blood of Abregado-rae is on Mr. Me'Vere's hands. The Empire exists to protect free peoples - like the people of Abregado-rae. No words from him and his jolly bands of murderers will change that.

You choose to invade a peaceful world. You choose to bombard the surface, with no care for what is a civilian target and what is not.

Their blood is on no one's hands but your own, Mr. Me'Vere. May the Lord (should He exist) have mercy on your twisted soul.

No one in this life will.

I'll make this one pretty simple.

I am not here to liberate anyone. I am here to destroy you. I am here to destroy all Imperial forces and to break you out of the shell of cowardice you have hidden in.

If that shell means throwing living shields in front of you, then so be it. I will end the Empire's vice grip on this planet and many more to come.

Throwing out fake numbers, hiding behind civilians, and trying to play politics won't change it.

I am here to destroy the Empire. That goal is going very nicely.

From the office of Governor Theren Gevel:

I am here to destroy the Empire. That goal is going very nicely.
I would wonder if this Admiral Me'Vere has seen a map of the galaxy, lately.
