A man who sees sentient beings as canon fodder in his quest for Galactic Domination does not deserve the rights he refuses to others.
The Holy Demosthesian Empire sees it as their Divine right to destroy men who behave in such a way.
Would the Ossan Parliment have let Grand Moff Tarkin walk free after he destroyed Alderaan with his Death Star?
I think that perhaps the views of Gash Jiren are clouding his judgement in the matter of the Jutraalian and Tholatin Empires, and that he is conveying this to the Parliment with his Force powers.

While it is the policy of the Ossan Parliament not to engage in the fire-return-fire galactic holonet press release forum, Gash Jiren was asked of these comments during a press conference.

"The Demosthesians seem to have a point -- Chadd Fearsons has committed a variety of crimes. Why do you continue to support him?"

Gash: "People seem to be mistaking an active stance against this war for an active promotion of Chadd Fearsons. Such a war would be far-reaching and highly destructive, and thus, it is the duty of Ossus to stand against it. Look at the comments by this 'Empire' -- "A man who sees sentient beings as canon fodder in his quest for Galactic Domination does not deserve the rights he refuses to others". What, exactly, do you call idly tossing the millions upon millions of beings it would require to wage a war on Jutraal to their deaths? Well, HDE calls it a holy war, I call it slaughter."

"What about their mention of Grand Moff Tarkin?"

Gash: "Equating Chadd Fearsons to Grand Moff Tarkin is like comparing Daemon Hyfe to the Emperor. Regardless of how bad one may be, the other was ten times worse. I seem to remember Jilaeek being destroyed without firing a shot. Now, would he have fired that weapon? I don't know. But are we going to start persecuting men for crimes they had the opportunity to commit, years later? And sacrificing millions to do it? I am not willing to do that. And so, I will attempt to deter this war, and back up my claims with force if necessary."

"Another question, sir... HDE accuses you of corruption and abuse of power. Any comments?"

Gash: "Well, if you can't touch the decision, try and belittle the democracy that made it, eh? This comes from a group which is admittedly fascist. Those accusations are entirely circumstantial, made without a whit of proof. I have an accusation for them: I think that the Holy Demosthesian Empire is being twisted under the influence of their insane, theocratic leaders, who seem to be under the impression they've been blessed with some sort of god-given destiny to dominate the galaxy.

"To be quite frank, the Holy Demosthesian Empire has offered no evidence that they are not what they accuse others of being; despotic, religiously-motivated, and murderous. They have no credibility, and what little credibility they may have been granted on principle has been revoked based on the fact that they are a despotic regime which seems to thirst for war at our first opportunity to hear of them. They continue to speak of their 'divine' right to do this and that -- frankly, that makes me wonder what else god will give them the right to do. Rape, pillage, slaughter, destroy anyone and anything in their path? I wonder. One last question."

"Sir... what do you say to those who claim that you are only doing this to respond to the threat on Prince Vondiranch?"

"I would say that those people are probably right -- the Ossan Parliament has been motivated by the threat on him. When an unknown, despotic, war-mongering foreign power makes a threat on the life of a long-time citizen of Ossus and a member of the Rogue Jedi Order, who has nearly sacrificed his life multiple times for our world's well-being, yes, we respond. Were it not for the threat on Kamon, I would go so far as to say that I'm not sure we'd be actively taking a side. But that is hypothetical; it has happened, and we have replied. That is all; good evening, everyone."

Jutraalian Congress

Fearsons tossed aside the datapad, his stare incredulous as he peered back up at General Dwight, who was simply shrugging ignorantly. He seemed just as confused as he was.

This...Domesthian had made some sort of demands, some sort of claims. But what for? What backing did they had? What evidence of any that they had said?

Did any of it even bother the Jutraalian Emperor who had heard such brandished lies in the past?

Nope.

"Any leads on where this came from?" he asked non-chalantly, as if the matter meant nothing to him. And in all actuality, it probably didn't. The retaking of Despayre and rebuilding of the Csillan Parliament had taken up most of his time and concentration.

Dwight seemed a bit unsure. "Well...it was transmitted somewhere from LFX space, one of their old HoloNet recorders that they used during the Alderaani Wars," he explained.

Fearsons sighed. It figured as much.

Another false bravado in a vendetta against Jutraal eh? More Isstal-Radicalists most likely. What fools.

"Yes it did seem like the hired propaganda that Isstal usually referred to," he said casually. "And their demands being...?"

"That you are dethroned."

Both men stared in silence for a moment before sharing a laugh.

"Dethroned? And that would solve..."

"Utter chaos and anarchy sire," Dwight finished.

It was true...he had seen first hand the effects of the emperor losing power. The people could not handle it...whether it was because they favored him or needed guidence Dwight wasn't sure - perhaps it was a mixture of both - but it was pretty evident that without Emperor Fearsons there was dismal chaos.

"Do they have any evidence of any inherint...evil as the spewer?" Fearsons asked, getting back on subject.

Dwight shook his head. "He said spies indicate atrocities that are 'worse than Palpatine.'"

Fearsons blinked. "And those being...?"

Again the commandant shrugged. "Sire don't take too much into it...they're just a mindless regime tying to degrade what you've worked for...they're following in Isstal's footsteps."

"And look where that got him."

The two nodded.

"And the LFX black out is in affect right?"

Another nod from Dwight.

"Good, our people don't need to be disturbed by manic wild men."

"Of course not sir."

"Alright then...see about boosting security though, incase they do come."

"Yes sir."

Kamon Vondiranach made his press release a little late.

"First and foremost, TTR will surrender to no one. Especially not HDE. We are a sovereign government and will not release our sovereignty.

"As to being called an Empire, I greatly despise my government being called such. We are a Republic and will be a republic. Get it through your thick heads, HDE. Never will I surrender to low life scum such as your self."

Tsk tsk. Such words from a man who is supposed to lead a... Republic? Do not make me laugh, "Prince". Republics are not ruled by a monarch such as yourself, a self-titled "Prince".

You claim to be a Republic, yet you seem to be unaware of what a Republic is, other than a fancy word that makes you look like a good guy.

I have compiled the following information so you may educate yourself and change your Empire's name to reflect what it really is.

<blockquote style="padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:solid 2">Main Entry: re·pub·lic
Pronunciation: ri-'p&-blik
Function: noun
Etymology: French république, from Middle French republique, from Latin respublica, from res thing, wealth + publica, feminine of publicus public -- more at REAL, PUBLIC
Date: 1604
1 a (1) : a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president (2) : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government b (1) : a government in which supreme power resides in a body of citizens [aka a Senate] entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law (2) : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government c : a usually specified republican government of a political unit</blockquote>

Now, then:

<blockquote style="padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:solid 2">Main Entry: em·pire
Pronunciation: 'em-"pIr

2 : imperial sovereignty, rule, or dominion</blockquote>

Not to mention your contradiction. You are a Republic... yet you are to become a Republic? So are you or are you not currently a Republic? Considering that you're power structure clearly represents an Empire, the obvious answer is no.

By definition, "Prince", the Tholatin Empire is just that - an Empire.

And since you refuse to surrender, we are forced to remove you from power. We cannot have, what was it you called us... "low life scum such as yourself" giving weapons and aide to Empires that build Death Stars, can we?

As to your last bit, the death star was built for peace. It was to be a space station where diplomats could meet.

On the matter of being a Republic, yes we are a Republic. We have a Senate that is rebuilding. As to the fact that I am a Prince, and not self-titled as parents were queen and King. Do not insult my family.

Your parents were on crack when they had you, weren't they?

<blockquote style="padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:solid 2">As to your last bit, the death star was built for peace. It was to be a space station where diplomats could meet.</blockquote>

Ah, yes. What better place for diplomatic meetings that a Battle Station? Tell me, "Prince", why does a diplomatic, peaceful space station need a superlaser? Or thousands and thousands of turbolasers?

You are as ignorant as they come, a true beleiver that Chadd Fearsons would have sat with his toy and not gone on a destructive rampage. It takes a special skill to be as ignorant as you, but I do believe everyone has a talent.

<blockquote style="padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:solid 2">On the matter of being a Republic, yes we are a Republic. I think a simple quote from the Tholatin "Prince" can answer this one:

<blockquote style="padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:solid 2">"First, I like the idea of going back to the Republic. It means more of a solid union of worlds. As for the Senate, they have less power than the New Republic senate had. T^hey don't tell us what to do."

-"Prince" Kamon Vondiranach</blockquote>

I am also quite sure that somewhere along the line, parents somewhere in this galaxy were King and Queen. Yours were not, as it blatantly obvious. And if they were, then they acheived it in the same way as you - by claiming they were monarchs and influencing the minds of others with their Force powers.

The holonet once more lit up with traffic.

Broadcasting from no hidden relay in open space from aboard the Harbinger-Class Battle Cruiser Betrayal.

"This is Lord Meschi, formerly of the Holy Domesthian Empire. I am broadcasting this message for the following reasons.

I may be a Sith, and all that implies, but I do not hide in the shadows behind the cloak of another from my enemies. I will not hide myself from anyone. I have honor, and that honor requires that I inform the galaxy that the Holy Domesthian Empire is one and the same with LFX. This may come as a suprise for many, and may have been suspected by few. However, this is the truth.

I will not aid the cowardice of others. However, I will not betray oaths I have taken. I will not defect and fight against the Holy Domesthian Empire. I will, instead, return to the direct service of my brother and his current battle group.

It is likely that in the event of a war we will still support the Holy Domesthian Empire. This is not a threat, but a warning to all parties involved. However, I assure you the cowardice displayed to us will not go unmeasured in our decision at that time.

That is all, good day."

The transmission cut as suddenly as it had broken in. He had said his peace and set the stage.. all was going as planned.

~A small, black and white, rotating logo appears on the screen... After three complete revolutions we fade to the image of a green-skinned reptillian creature seated behind a newsdesk, a few flimsies before him. Above his right shoulder a small picture-in-picture displays the same rotating logo. After a moments pause, it speaks. With a gruff voice, it announces;

"All humans are scum in the eyes of Morbo!"

~At that, the screen fades back to whatever propoganda the dim-witted, pre-programmed viewer might have happend to previously be choking down its oversized media-gullet.
