The letters S,F then S zoomed around the holonet screen almost like little alphabetic starfighters. The letters began to morph into a various array of craft of Sienar Fleet Systems, the TIE fighter the Skipray and a TIE interceptor all zoomed across the screen followed by the roar of a huge Interdictor Cruiser, then they all came to rest and morphed back into the letters SFS.

The logo then faded to the SFS Media and Communications Director, and show presenter, Glen Turnak.

<font color=yellow> "Hello and welcome to 'Good morning M'haeli, I'm your host Glen Turnak.

Today on the show we take a look at SFS' CEO Ren Janggar's recent trip to the Karthak System and his negotiations with the Mere, the native people in the system.

In a press release made last week to most of the Inter Galactic community, SFS mentioned an interest in the Karthak system. The three most habitable planets there, Lok, Nod Kartha and Maramere, which at one time, were under Trade Federation control and utilized as a base of operations, droid production site and more importantly a testing ground for the droid armies of the federation.

It was over 70 years ago that the trade federation were last in control of the system, the Inhabitants of the planet Maramere aided local revenants in ousting the Federation forces from the sector and they have shown no interest in returning to the system since.

At one point, near the end of the great Galactic republic Maramere was a rich source of the ore, Hexalonium.

Hexalonium is a very versitile mineral and to this day the only source remained on the planet of Maramere. In fact the trade federation kept the location of the ore so secret that little knowledge of it's existence seaped out into mainstream economic circles.

The uses for Hexalonium are extremely versatile as extensive initial test reports have revealed. In it's most simple form it can serve as a crop fertiliser, a coolant and strong cleaning agent in starship engines, and a household bug repelant.

More refined versions of the ore are the including hexalon and Di-hexalon proved greatly useful in the power output of laser weapons and in the explosive yield of proton torpedos.

However the most powerful of the hexalonium derivatives is Trihexalon.

Through much painstaking research, Trade federation scientists were able to control and develope Trihexalon into a powerful weapon.

Initial testing of the substance was not very productive as many valuble federation scientists died in the weapons initial stages. It was later discovered that the chemical could be controlled at extremely low temperatures, thus making continuation of thier research and development a possibility.

Research was moved to Maramere's neighbouring planet of Nod Kartha. A cold and desolate, but altogether habitable planet, Nod Kartha's polar caps proved to be the ideal places to continue research and eventual production of the substance.

The Trade Federation soon found that the were on to a considerably powerful weapon, capable of destruction on a major scale.

The weapon itself, once exposed to normal temperatures the chemical invades a body's main functions and turns them into a mass of what is in esscence, green slime. The entire process takes literally a tenth of a second, so an onlooker would only see a green flash and the person/s affected would instantly be turned to a green pile of matter.

Suffice it to say, the federation were on to something.

Research on a delivery system and carrier ships were developed for the weapon and steps were taken to move production to Nod Kartha permenantly. The TF then established military production facilities on the planet of Lok in order to build the necessary components and carrier ships for the weapon.

A final solution seemed imminent until Republic weapons inspectors uncovered the operation and put a ban on the weapon. Strangely production was allowed to continue but a ban was put in place that dissalowed the use of Hex weapons.

In the years following the departure of Supreme Chancellor Valorum, the Federation amassed a huge fleet of ships called Hex deployers along with countless wings of bombers.

<font color=yellow>In the month culminating in the beginning of the clone wars the trade federation broke away from the republic and so they broke away from thier Hex Ban.

With assistance from the confederacy of Independant systems and the deadly mercenaries know as the Saboath began moves to wipe out the republic.

Last minute intervention by a Jedi and a determined group of Lok revenants who had apparently been ousted and imprisoned years before from Lok when the Federation moved in, eliminated the Hex threat and saved countless lives on the world of geonosis.

After the Federation's defeat at the hands of the revenants and the republic, they withdrew from the Karthak system and abandoned thier hex facilities in the system.

The Trade Federation have shown no interest in returning to the Karthak system to recontinue hex production in any of it's forms. This has provided Sienar Fleet Systems with a unique chance to secure the valuable and plentiful source of Hexalonium for further production in many forms.

Sienar CEO, Ren Janggar reported earlier today that negotiations with the Mere are running smoothly as planned and the closing of a deal is only days a way.

This has been Glen Turnak, goodbye and goodday M'haeli."
