Today the Galactic Defence Initiative and the Jutraalian (former, Rogue) Empire declared a state of peace between their respective factions.

This comes after a GDI attack on the world of Sluis Van and peace talks between the Supreme Commander, Dxun Isstal, and Emperor Chadd Fearsons.

While the details of this treaty are confidential, it is known that GDI forces have taken control of all aspects of control over Sluis Van.

Further details will be released as the situation develops.

Today we see the end of the great conflict that has roiled across the Galactic Defence Initiative. Our soldiers who fought gallantly at Charubah, Taanab, and Sluis Van, are coming home.

And despite all the difficulties, the deaths and the propaganda spewed by Emperor Fearsons and his lackies, we've won. Sluis Van has been liberated, is now under the control of the Initiative. Our relief vessels are already on-scene there, repairing the damage caused in the recent battle that took place there.

But all this could not have been possibile without one key factor. Loathe as I am to say it, Emperor Fearsons proved that he can be a somewhat reasonable man, and despite all his faults this speaks well for him. The ability and willingness to prevent the deaths that surely would have occured if the war had continued is a good one indeed.

To our brothers in the New Order who continue to battle the Jutraalians, good luck. The Jutraalian Empire has comitted to many atrocities to be left alone, but our part in this conflict has ended.
