The Empire was created for the purpose of returning order to a galaxy wrought with lawlessness. Since then the mandate of this government has been to erase chaos from the face of the galaxy through any means neccessary. Our Fleet has expanded our borders to eliminate the threat other governments posed to this pursuit of order and peace. Despite this, chaos and lawlessness thrive in various parts of the galaxy, many sectors wholly devoted to maintaining smugglers, pirates, privateers, and other scum of the galaxy.

One of the central dens for villiany and filth has been Hutt Space. This region, though established through no legal means, has stood a barb in the side of the civil populous of the galaxy. This can go on no longer. In order to destroy crime we will eradicate the base for criminal actions.

Imperial General Order 156 - D issued from the Office of the Regent has declared the entireity of the Region of Hutt Space under Martial Law. All claims of other governments are henceforth neutralized.

The Imperial General Staff, upon receiving the order from the Regent himself, began planning the occupation of the area and the subjugation of all criminals and their peers. The Chief of the General Staff was then dispatched to lead the first detachment of troops into the area. Admiral Baron Telan Desaria has been given command of the 1st Destroyer Squadron.

A significant amount of troops has been allocated to this command, and full operational autonomy granted to the Chief of the General Staff in his execution of the Regent's orders to bring order to chaos.
