CINNAGAR, CINNAGAR, EMPRESS TETA -- In his weekly public address, Tetan Chancellor Kanbal Stian officially announced the closure of the Empress Teta System's borders to the rest of the galaxy. The Tetan Senate passed strict legisation reguading all civilian and commerical traffic entering and leaving the system. The full details of this bill have yet to be released to the greater galactic public. The bill is expected to be signed into law by the end of this week.

In related news, the Carbonite Guild has been formally dissolved by Guild President James Nygen. While details are trickling out of the system, it is believed the carbonite mining operations that the guild maintained will be kept running by the Tetan government to prevent an economic colaspe. This announcement came shortly before Chancellor Stain's address.

There has been speculation that the Guild's break-up and the closure of the system are related.
