The First Vigil class sector patrol ships to roll off the production lines christened
<font size="4">T</font>oday marked the end of almost two years of design, production, and re-design for twelve weary scientists. With a fanfare of old-style cannonry, and fireworks, the very first Vigil-Class Sector Patrol Ships (CPS) received their last coat of paint and floor wax.
"I'm very glad it's finally done" said one scientist. "A wonderful ship, but I have other ideas. Sometimes I thought I would be working on that ship for the rest of my life."
Designed to patrol the Anthos sector and guard shipping lanes, these majestic two hundred and thirty meter ships are to become the guts of Clak`dor’s defense fleet. Their appearance is sturdy, hiding well a great deal of the weaponry this ship packs. Although the details are classified, it is known that a droid operated Vigil stood up to three likewise droid operated Corillian-Class Gunships and not only survived … (continued on page 34)
