... we interrupt your regularly scheduled program, "Why Ketchup is not a Vegetable" for this breaking news flash from Your local Holonet News affiliate.

*After a mundane news logo flashes across the screen, it fades away to reveal a polished middle aged human, and a well figured twi'lek female, each wearing a bussiness suit.*

"Hello, my name is Horace Higyt. And this is Filektcy Fillie. Thank you for staying tuned for this important new break, we'll get you back to this your stimulating discussion panel about the recent Azguardian claim that Ketchup is a vegetable. However for now, I'll turn the news over to my colleague to give you the details on this critcally important happening in the galaxy."

*The camera pans to the Twi'lek, who smiles then starts talking*

"Thank you Horace. Yesterday, in the space of 1 hour (standard time unit), a series of terrorist attacks hit across the galaxy, at intervals of 10 minutes apart. Although orginally believed to be scattered and unrelated conisedences, authorities are new considering new evidence that has surfaced today, which paints the attacks in a whole new light. Our own Furm Thoemas has the story."

*The scene shifts to the burnt and heavily damaged lobby of the Aarguuan Bank, showing the destruction there, before changing to a scene on Geonosis, where a huge pile of rublle is being ecavated on by Tholatin personale. Next it shifted to footage of the twisted wreckage of the bridge over the chasam on N'zoth, followed by a scene of the charred frieghter on Honghor. A distant shot of smoke rising from the Imperial academy on Carida was breifly shown, with a final image being that of a catastrophically damaged Victory Star Destroyer, a gaping hole replacing what should have been the upper section of the craft, near the bridge. The whole sceen took only about 30-45 seconds.*

*Suddenly, the camera changed to a man, who was transmitting from the Tholatin site, microphone in hand.*

"Those ghastly images are the terrible results of what is slowly shaping up to look like a coordinated Galactic terrorist attack, on some of the galaxies largest most powerful governments. Behind me you see the wreckage of a Tholatin stadium- it is still believed hundreds may be trapped beneath the rubble, buried alive by the tonnes of stone and twisted metal that had made up the viewing arena. Similar situations have occured on 5 other worlds of prominent status, 3 in the Galactic Empire, 1 in the Outer Rim Soveringty, 1 in the Tholatin Republic, and 1 in the Vinda Corporation Territories."

*new Images of the sites began showing, and the reporter continued on a voice over.*

"Orginally it was believed by many analyists to be isolated and unconnected events. However, as mentioned before, it appears that may not be the case. While there has not be any acknowledgment publiclly by any of the governments involved, nor a confirmation of the coordination of the attacks, a holo-transmission has been recently recieved by the Galactic Holonews network, from an organization claiming responsibility for the attacks- and claiming that their are more coming."

*The camera came back to the reporter.*

"After letting a team of specialists analyze the fottage, as well as the supposed time of creation, we have determined that the recording was made prior to the aforementioned attacks, though we will gladly send a copy ofr the orginal tape to any government in an attempt to reaffirm our findings. For the benefit of our viewing audience, and those who have been affected by the terrorist attacks, we are prepared to show the tape in its entirety here right now on this program. We would like to say that we here at Galactic Holonet news do not encourage or promote terrorism in any form.... but the message on this tape is something our executive and producers felt the galaxy should here."

*The Screen faded out, then moved to play the tape*

OOC- The contents of the tape will be put in the next post to make for an easier read.

*A scratchy holovid fills the screen...... obviously of lower quality than the professional newscast, but still well done, as if done by a knowledgable amatuer. The screen is filled with a man, tall and well built, black hair crisply conforming to his head. He is clothed from head to foot in a white uniform, reminicent of the Imperial Grand Admiral uniforms of old, though it is devoid of the usual trappings and trim that accompany such a title. The man is a great contrast to the room which he occupies. It appears empty, with ebony black walls that make it difficult to discern anything about the size, shape or relative location of the man, whose white suit seems emblazened upon the dark surface. The man stared intently at the camera, then began speaking*

"Let me assure this is no hoax..... no jest. Possessing a sense of humor is a critical to a well balanced life, but in a situation where the whole of the galaxy is conearned, I am deadly serious."

*The man let a smile grace his face, showing perfectly white teeth to his audience.*

"By the time you reciev this message, you the incident I am going to refer to will have already happened. The first strikes will have been leveled, the first of many, if what I say is not heeded."

*The smile left the man's face, and a note of seriousness seemed to overtake his features. He took a step to the left, and then, as if by magic, a 3-D projection of the galaxy appeared. Where the hologram was coming from, was not readily apparent. The man reached up and ran his hand over in an all encompasing gesture.*

"Our galaxy is truely a magnificent place. So many wonders, so many things that we, its inhabitants, advanced as we are can barley comprehend them. It vastness readily apparent, the mere fact that one must travel faster than light itself to cross it in a reasonable time, should be proof enough of that fact. "

*He twirled his fingers, and the projection became alive as hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights became apparent among it.*

"You would think that with all this space, all this elbow room, so to speak, we would be able to exsist in, well for lack of a more appropriate word, harmony. Peoples could make their own decisions- living out their own dreams and living their lives this wonderous galaxy."

*Turning his face back to the camera, the man looked somewhat sad.*

"Unfortunatly it is not apparent to some members of the galactic community that their is room enough for all..... that they needed express themselves by attempting to fill the entire expanse of our wonderful home with a world mired in their own image. In fact, even more morose is the fact that there are MANY of these offenders, races and governments, alliances, and organizations who feel it their right to interfere in the affairs of others- as if they have the right to impose their will upon the galaxy."

*He turned back toward the holoprojection. And touched several spots on it. 6 marks lit up birghtly, while the others dimmed*

"Cardia. Honoghr, Aargua, N'Zoth, Geonosis, Eriadu. 6 worlds of importance and influence. 3 owe alleigance to the Galactic Empire, 1 to the Outer Rim Soveringty, 1 to Vinda Corporation, and 1 to the Tholatin Republic. Yet they are unified by the same principle. All of them are under the control of Imperialist leaders who manipulate there people in to believing they have no choice but go to war- yet they remain above the fray, and as the conflict carries on, they feel no ill effects, while the people suffer."

*The man turned back to the camera.*

"So, with that said. Let this be a warning. The Galactic Liberation Front is watching..."

*His hand gestured toward a space on the map, running a long a pathway on the edge of ORS space.*

"... and waiting..."

*His hand swooped up toward the mid-rim core areas, lighting up a world, easily within the borders of the Galactic Empire*

"...We will not let the current state of affairs to continue..."

*He brough his hands togather, balled into fist, his voice tone rising slightly*

"We will not stand idly by.. while the people of this galaxy are opressed...."

*The camera zoomed in closer on the man, so that only his chest and above was showing. Green eyes were blazing, almsot like they were being digitally enhanced*

".... My name is Brutus Nogoth... I am leader of the Galactic Liberation Front...and I assure you...."

*The camera quality suddenly became totally professional, and zoomed into Nogoth's face.*

"Change... "

His inflection changed slightly, as if he was giving away the greatest secret in the galaxy.

"IS "

*The camera zoomed in only over Nogoth's mouth in a single instant*

" Coming! "

*The screen blacked out.*

Over and over the images are projected...Overlaying the monitor a voice..

".... My name is Brutus Nogoth... I am leader of the Galactic Liberation Front...and I assure you....change is coming.."

The images...

"We will not stand idly by.. while the people of this galaxy are oppressed...."

The irony in the commentator evident:

"No doubt those of the dead oppressed are clearly better off. It's obviously stupid of them to have believed that breathing was a good thing.

No doubt citizens around the galaxy will sleep better knowing the that the Galactic Libration Front is ready, willing and working hard to liberate them from life.

Unfortunately, and (you may think) to the dismay of Imperial citizens everywhere, we shall continue to 'oppress' them with as trouble free a life as we can ensure.

Nogoth, cut the campy acting (even Ralen was better), buy yourself a personality and fix your crooked white teeth."
