The symbol of the red star of the people of Sinsang appeared on the screen, as a quick paced treble track played. Upon the screen quickly came from nowhere the words 'The People's News'. The screen came into view of a very stately older woman, with her hair up in a neat bun and sitting at a desk. The business suit she wore adding more to her very formal appearance.
"Welcome to the People's News. News for the People, by the People, from the People." She said politely as the camera changed angle. She met the gaze of the camera and promptly resumed.
"Today, with the announcement of the movement unto Glee Anselm, Chairman Hung Chao met with the leaders of Vortex."
The camera showed Chao meeting with the Vor leaders, the large man sharing bows with them as various chatter bled in from the background. The camera moved to some footage later on when the press conference was fully underway.
"Recently, the people of Sinsang have had the honour of aiding a people in regaining their lost home. The Anx of Gravlex Med whom had their homes destroyed in such a similar manner as the poor peoples of Glee Anselm by a rogue Imperial Warlord have been in mourning ever since the news came for the event for their brethren." The Chairman said quite whole-heartedly, his voice bearing as much sympathy as it could bear without being torn from the strain.
“And so the representative of the Anx, Vorlorn Holm, has humbly requested that he and his people be granted the equipment as to try and aid these people. How is it that I could deny his people their right as to aid a fellow people who have suffered such a terrible fate?
And so it is, that the Anx shall be launching their first unified effort in over twenty years. And all I may say, is may the Force be with them.”
The camera then shifted to the forum of a large number of the hunched Anx who had gathered on Sinsang boarding unto a number of transports and other personal vessels. Text began to scroll along the bottom of the screen as the camera changed it’s focus from the further off transports to the more immediate man with a large figure accompanying him. The camera showed a young Sinsangese man dressed in a similar style of suit to the woman holding a microphone to a very formally dressed Anx. The large repitalian like race having not been seen since the fall of their homeworld. The large crest upon his head dropped somewhat.
“I’m here with Vorlorn Holm, the Anx’s chosen representative since the fall of their home. The last remaining member of their council of elders, the Tria. It is an honour to be able to speak to you.” The Sinsangese man said with practiced politeness.
“Though it pains us all of the circumstance of this. Though we Anx will not allow others to suffer the same fate as we had. How many of us saw the destruction of our world at the hands of the Empire. As we sat there and watched, without any strength, as people trapped in those damned parts of the world were torched and plagued and vaporized. We will not watch again. WE WILL NOT WATCH. We will come and try to save those we can while we may!” The Anx elder hobbled off towards the transport. The reporter watched for a moment before he turned back to the camera.
“Well, this is Lu-zhu from Starport Twelve, back to you Ming.”
The camera returned to the Sinsangese woman who seemed quite solemn face. “The Chairman is still in talks as to what aid the League would be willing to accept from the Sinsangese Government. Up to this point there has been no word as to what support they’d accept from Coalition member worlds.”
“In other news, today more pain continues as the conflict against the Black Dragon Empire continues to drag on….”
