Deamun Inspectors brutally slaughtered
Tholatin unable to shake image of being a brutal killer
Kent Clark, ANN Anchorman, turned to gaze at the camera, to gaze at you with his deep brown eyes. His popularity as an anchorman was growing, and the people above him guessed he would go far. Two months ago he had become the number one reason people tuned into ANN. As said a random Bith in a poll; "He has a good look to him. You feel like you can trust him."
"Good evening," began Clark. "Tonight we bring you a news flash from Tholatin. In a report by a spacer in a major Tholatin spaceport, Tholatin Shock Troopers have brutally slaughtered dozens of volunteer Deamun Inspectors as they exited their shuttle today. These Deamun Inspectors offered their aid in proving that Tholatin does indeed have no superweapons. They responded to an invitation from the Prince of Tholatin himself, Vondiranach."
"Live video coverage of this event is currently restricted. We have a few snippets taken from the surveillance cameras of our spacer friend, but they are quite blurry and as yet unidentifiable. Our reporters on Tholatin will attempt to gain additional information about this explosive incident."
The screen faded from Clark to the ANN logo, a bit of scrolling text underneath sating, "Anthos Government Officials to have press conference dealing with Mandal-Sat Tragedy later today."

IC:
TTR slays them with superior numbers because they go nuts and start attacking citizens when they land.

TTR Response
We'll give your reporters that tapes of the incident if you promisenot to alter them. These people sent by BDE were not inspectors. They were shock soldiers sent to cause mayhem. As soon as they exited their ship, they began attacking Tholatin citizens with brutal hatred and tactics. RPGC were summoned to quell the assailants.

TTR Claims Unfounded
Dameun Inspectors Murdered Brutally
And in what fashion would a few shock troops be used to attack an entire planet, you may ask? An advanced military operation? There has been no indication of any arrange array of vessel ready to accomplish such a task. Perhaps a terror operation? Perhaps, but what terror operation begins in a spaceport while steping off a transport?
No, according to whats been said, and what little scrutinizable information we can ascertain these Dameun inspecters were killed before they even steped foot onto Tholatin soil. Is it that the Prince feels he has something to hide? Maybe. Only time will tell.

Anthos issues official statement.
Questions ranging from the Mandal-Sat tragedy to the attack on the Impol answered in official press conference.
"Welcome back to ANN, gentlebeings of the galaxy."
Clark Kent addressed the Holo camera's with confidence and an air of informality.
"Earlier today we broadcasted live from the presidential palace where members of President Isjhe's cabinet answered questions ranging from the Mandal-Sat tragedy to the attack upon the science station Impol.
A video feed took over the screen, and audio queued.
"We are quite concerned about Tholatin's lack of defense concerning the atrocious tragedy last month. The only statement to come from Tholatin concerning the incident said simply that they did not have the proof needed to prove themselves innocent."
"Will Anthos be sending inspectors in response to Tholatin's offer?"
"We're not sure. With the recent death of almost a dozen Deamun inspectors, and lack of solid proof in either direction we have no real idea of what happened. We're unsure if it would be safe to send scientists of our own to Tholatin."
"Are you saying that Tholatin may have murdered the Deamun inspectors, as Deamo says?"
"With the lack of solid proof either way we're not saying anything as of now."
"Tholatin offered to release the spaceport security tapes, have you reviewed these?"
"We have. Unfortunately the quality is pretty poor, and it's pretty obvious in a few places that the tape had been edited. From the tapes its clear that the Deamun inspectors began to attack upon exiting their shuttle, but a few of our technicians think the tape has been doctored. Ah, yes, you over there..."
"Do you have any official word on Anthos' investigation regarding the terrorist attack against the Impol?"
"Yes. We have been able to determine what type of explosives were used, and how the attack was delivered. I'm not at liberty to say anything else on the matter, though."
"The most recent Mandal-Sat press release condemns Tholatin as being a war-hungry government led by a corrupt dictator. They also call to all true governments to defend the innocent. Any comments on this?"
"The President would like to say that he feels the pain of the Mandal-Sat employees and their family. He would also like it be known that Anthos will seek justice for the families of those killed."
The tape faded out and Clark faded in.
"Up next, an interview with a man who claims to have lived for seven hundred years..."

In a press conference earlier today, retired General Heir Farlax of the Imperial Army issued a challenge to both the Tholatin and Deamun communities regarding the recent deaths of several Deamun citizens on Tholatin.
The following is an exerpt from the General's release.
General! What about the claims that the Deamun scientists were shock troopers sent to attack Tholatin?
I would ask the instigators of those claims how a handful of soldiers could hope to damage an entire planetary population. Even a thousand soldiers would be hard pressed to do even a minute ammount of damage on an enemy's homeworld, against the full force of their military.
From what I know of the Deamun empire, they are a very intelligent and able culture. Intelligent enough, at any rate, to know that having a dozen men burst out of a ship firing would be a wasted gesture.
By what logic does a commando team give away their presence in the first seconds of infiltration?
From a military point of view, the actions of the Deamun soldiers - assuming they were soldiers - make no sense.
And I trust that the Deamun military is not so poor.
The Tholatin Republic has released video tapes of the events that proves the Deamuns were shock troopers.
I have seen the footage. It is medicore at best. Obviously taken with low rate equipment, probably from a distance of some hundred meters. There is also a distinct lack of proof that those doing the shooting are who the video claims them to be.
It is entirely possible the footage shown is of some other event, or was fabricated by the Tholatin Republic.
Are you calling the Tholatin Prince a liar?
I am simply commenting that the Prince's story is not foolproof. As it stands, neither side has put forth solid evidence that their side is right.
I am inclined to believe the Deamuns, at this point, only because as I've said, the actions of the accused soldiers are illogical. I would ask the Tholatin Republic what kind of military force acts in such a manner.

OOC: I know it is Lol. No hard feelings Seth. I've been cracking up over it for a long time.
TTR says:
The kind of military force that lives to protect. THose things were no scientists. They were insane. I'd have killed them myself if I'd been there. But I was off world on business. My RPGC took care of them as they were supposed to take care of any threat, no matter how small. If you think about it, the Daemuns sending such a small group and posing them as "scientists" has worked. Look at this. He got the galactic populace, other than those that know the situation, to believe we killed a bunch of innocent scientists. I comment them on an excellent strategy, but we don't much care. You send soldiers here and we'll kill them.
