A New Kind of War...

Following the display of the Trade Federation's Insignia, Gwatch Runecourt, the Head Correspondant for the Trade Federation Funded Leviathan Corporate News Network began to speak sat calmly reading over a document, when a man appeared in the corner of the screen, handing him a small pamplet.

".... And now, a Breaking News Update. The New Order, in correspondance with the Jutraalian Empire, and the New Republic have declared War on the Galactic Defense Initiative for continued uses of Terrorism tactics throughout there campaign to dominate the Galaxy unter the cloak of a peaceful name. Through the years, the Trade Federation had taken up a neutral stance with the Galactic Defense Initiative, and even completed several business transactions with them, but it looks like those days are over ladies and gentlemen. Around twenty minutes ago, a Jutraalian Defense Fleet arrived over Neimoidia with several Planetary Defense personnel to support the Trade Federation in light of recent Defense Initiative, after a motion by the Systems' Commonwealth declared it an Enemy of State.

The Jutraalian Empire, though previously not having any direct ties to the Trade Federation has thrown itself on the line to defend the helpless civilians on Neimoidia. When asked about the situation, the Trade Federation viceroy simply said quote 'The Galactic Defense Initiative has gone too far this time.' end quote. LCNN sources indicate that the Galactic Defense Initiative has been blacklisted from valuable Durelium exports used in Hyperdrives, which factions directly threatened by the Galactic Death Initiative's hostile, terroristic and brutal tactics.

In a ground breaking joint venture, The Jutraalian Empire, and the New Order have launched a preempted strike against the Galactic Defense Initiative's planet of Ord Mantel after the Galactic Defense Initiative appeared to be forcing civilians into there battleships, useing them as a shield of innocence.

The Trade Federation deeply condems these acts of Terrorism, and requests that the Galactic Death Initiative question it's motives, as well as it's stance on Galactic Peace."

Oh, the irony. The Trade Federation's very own government-funded news agency and their leader, condeming acts of terrorism that the average galactic citizen will deny exist.

This, from the same Trade Federation that blockaded Naboo for its own selfish gains? And that, it is said, developments biological weapons for use against civilian targets?

It sickens this man to think that such an organization can say anything about the Galactic Defence Initiative, especcially when it is that faction that has worked so hard over the years to end the violence and terrorism in this galaxy. Violence, my friends, such as the resurrection of the dreaded Death Star. Diplomatic station my ass.

But who would expect the Galactic Empire to keep its word? The allegiance between that New Order and the Galactic Defence Initiative cannot be expected in the face of whatever Emperor Fearsons has promised the Empire in return for helping to smash his enemies.

And, like the true coward he is, Mr. Fearsons sits alone and lets his new friends in the Empire do his dirty work for him.

Not to say that the GDI isn't deserving of such a push. While I would not go so far as to claim that they are terrorists or warmongers, I would agree that they may be getting a bit... full of themselves.

But then, the Empire has been more than that for years, and the galaxy is content to sit by and let Daemon Hyfe get fat off their own money.

The galaxy is a strange place, indeed.

JFYI, IC, you know nothing except that GDI has declared TTF an enemy of the state.

Anything else will require a roleplay as to how it came about, TYVM.

OOC:

To the 13 different places that I've seen this now:

The New Order has not declared war on GDI.

So mounting a destructive campgain agaisnt a former ally isn't a none-to-subtle decleration of war.

Wow... it is a strange galaxy we live in...

That's correct.

Wars are usually political, this so far seems to be nothing more than a military action.

Um... military action=war

Take a look at any pre Christ era civilizations and tell me how much politics were involved with war?

Come on. Please argue with me. I'm not a running historical analyst for nothing after all.

Anyways, in this case, there will be more than enough political reasons to mop up GDI soon enough.

(Virgin, I'd like to know what faction you represent, if any...)

Also, Military Action is not a Declaration of War. As you may have noticed in the "War on Terrorist", when the United Stated attacked Afghanistan, it was not a declaration of war on htere country, it was a declaration of war on the terrorist supportive oppressive government that ruled the people.

Not a Declaration of War on the Country itself. The New Order could use a simular excuse, stating that they are declaring war on the Terrorist Isstal, not the innocent people that make up the Defense Initiative's group of planets.

That's correct, Ms... Destiny... this isn't a god damned declaration of war.

The Empire of the OT was constantly crushing rebellious factions, subduing criminal organizations, conquering light side constituents. The Empire of TRF and formerly TGC has done the same for a long, long time. We've had a history of doing so. We did not, nor did anyone else, declare it "war" when we the Empire laid waste to rebel freedom guard factions at the planet of Fondor, nor did anyone call it "war" when we chased the pathetic Fitzgeralds Force out of the galaxy in response to their assault on the Imperial-controlled world of Dantooine.

Engaging your fleet in hostile actions with another faction is not a declaration of war.

The Galactic Defense Initiative, IC, is viewed by the Empire as a pathetic terrorist faction that poses little threat to our faction, but will be conquered just as any other, in order to elimate the lightside fools who would oppose the Empires ascendence to galactic control.

Remember: yes, we are supposed to be the bad guys. We crush, we pummel, we are big meany heads.

So I say again: No, this is not a @#%$ declaration of war, kids.

Thanks for you bull @#%$. I mean... time.

So, my merry friends of the Empire, let us throw a salute to the brave men and... no, just men, of the Galactic Empire! For they are the ones protecting us from the terrorists that threaten our peace!

Oh, I'm sorry if that sounded a little sarcastic. It was supposed to sound a lot sarcastic. I ask you, Mr. Hyfe, what impedence the Defence Initiative has shown to your brave Empire?

I mean, besides from their allegiance, their relentless efforts to drive the true terrorists out of this galaxy, and their pro-freedom, anti-war attitude.

But, like I have told you already, the Empire believes in one thing over all: Power over All. Power over alliance. Power over war. Power over the countless deaths that the Jutraalian Empire has caused. What does the Empire care if the Jutraalians have waged a bitter war with them since the beginnings? What does the Empire care if the GDI has shown nothing but support for the Empire in those long days? The route to power, in the eyes of Daemon Hyfe and his lackies, lies in befriending their former mortal-enemies, those that they swore to destroy, and destroying the brave who have fought alongside the Empire to end the tyranny of the Jutraalian Empire.

So, Mr Hyfe, take up your sword! Swing it at the head of the Galactic Defence Initiative with all your might. But remember, the pen is mightier than the sword. And a sword is but a bludgeon without a true swordsman behind every stroke.
