What, so people aren't allowed to wear glasses in the Star Wars universe? When did this happen?

Well, when they can have cybernetic eyes installed? Or clone parts implanted?

You see, thats the kind of stuff not everybody would be too willing to do.

But in the here and now, people get laser sugery to help their vision.

So I assume in the SW universe, there would be much more advanced medical techniques to correct vision as well.

Theren explained his glasses as that his character wore them because they were part of his image. He had corrective surgery, but kept the glasses because they made him unique.
