Just because someone else shows up doesnt mean that you suddenly become less annoying. I have a suggestion, which I'm sure Beff has already mentioned, but I'll repeat.
Spend more time on your posts and the little things like spelling and punctuation. People are more likely to take you seriously and bother to read what you write if it has those important elements.
For example your above post should read:
For the jedi, the best thing to do is talk to Vodo. Talking to Dolash would also be a good idea.
And by the way guys, am I becoming less nooby? (or n00b)
See the difference? a) Capitals go at the beginning of every sentence and also for all proper nouns. b)Your first sentence made no grammatical sense. Not saying my grammar is perfect but its a bit better.
The Galactic Coalition is basically the TRF New Republic, there the democracy type government and pretty much took the place of the New Republic after it was defeated by the TNO.
Ok thanks, what would i join the coalition as, or like what positions are there becuase i can't find any of that in the threads. Also what is the largest ship a single character can have in relation to like the past as in like-
"Caleb inherrited the freighter from his father to continue on the family buisness, which caled intended to with much enthusiamsm."
Like something the size of a frigate, cruiser, destroyer, etc.
Well, I came in with an Assault Frigate, but I didn't use it much. In fact, it still hasn't been used in combat.
As for joining the Coalition, I'm not sure (I'm TNO, so there's an inherent problem there), but I would guess that a lower-ranking military commander would work. Not sure, though. I started as a TNO Captain.
Yes and no. The GC differs from a true Republic on multiple fronts. In fact, the GC proper has very little in common with TNR of old save for the fact that both factions tend to represent the "light side" aspect of our Star-Wars based setting. There are many key differences and, going ahead with the misconception that the GC is basically an NR equivalent will, in the end, will not behoove you better understanding the dynamic of the Galactic Coalition. In truth and in my opinion (as they rarely differ) the GC is much more complex and dynamic then TNR ever was.
The largest single ship a character can muster depends on the character and that, in turn, depends on the author. In your case, anything above a personal vessle of more then thirty meters would be unacceptable. You have yet to demonstrate a good and proper grasp of how starship-to-starship interaction develops here at TRF and, until then, and not out of malice do I note this, I would suggest you steer clear of such issues. Focus on writing a story about your character, not the starship he flies around on.
Are you becoming less of a n00b? Yes, most assuredly. You are taking the time to ask questions and you do not seem to be flying in the face of the answers supplied; this is good. However, should that progress stagnate, then yes, it will be confirmed that we have another n00b and not a potential newbie.
One piece of advice I have to offer you; slow down. This isn't a horse race and this isn't TGC. We move at the pace of molases in the winter. This is winter.
Join the GC if you want, it's a great place for new talent to develop. However; do note that Dolash will kick your ass six ways from sunday if you piss him off... and that's not easy. His tolerance is seemingly endless when it comes to newbies and n00bs (seemingly). So, if you mess up with him, you know you're doing something wrong.
Ok i will steer away from bigger ships, it's just i really like ship to ship battles, but for now I will stay clear because of the fact i have no idea how you guys do ship to ship battles. Also I think i will take a look into the GC thanks. Also will have biography done by tonight hopefully.
