Jay'Col looked on in pure amazement, the brandy shot held in his hands. This is what he felt he could be doing.

The apartment seemed to shrink slightly everytime Jay'Col looked at it. The walls were filthy, and the smell was of a kind of narcotic.

Jay'Col used his advantage and stepped to guard the doorway.

"Your choice what we do with you now, Sullustan" Jay'Col spoke quietly.

"Those words, so bitter yet so effective. Just like myself" Jay'Col thought to himself, but suddenly shook his head. "Past is to be forgotten, only the future to look forward to." Jay'Col finished, watching the Sullustan.

"Alright, I'll tell you," the alien whimpered, cowering on the bed. His only desire now was to get away from the hulking cyborg that even now reached for his fingers. "Dweku's on Lamaredd! He's got a small base set up there!"

Cendar smiled. "Lesson number one, Jay'Col. Threat of force is usually enough to coerce a confession. Time for lesson number two." Cendar gazed at the Sullustian emotionlessly. "Never trust a forced confession. Grab him. We're getting out of here."

Lamaredd? Cendar thought. In the Outer Rim? What the kriff is a Rodian doing out there? That's getting close to Wild Space. Either this kriffer's lying, or that kriffing planet has something I've never heard of. Either way, a trip there might just be worth my time.

The cyborg turned to the coynite. "Tie him up and gag him. Better yet," he reached in a pouch and withdrew another syringe, "we'll knock him out." The alien struggled, but he was no match for Cendar's bionic strength. In moments the Sullustian was out cold.

"Well, we have a bit of time now." Cendar walked to a small closet and punched in some numbers. The door slid open to reveal any number of assorted power supplies and weapons. He withdrew two large ones and returned to the bed. "But we can have even more. Come with me to Lamaredd. I get tired of working by myself all the time, so some company would be appreciated. I'll even teach you a few tricks of the trade."

As he spoke, Cendar rolled up his sleeves and quickly opened a compartment in his right arm. He replaced the power pack for his electric-shock fingers, then did the same with the power supply for the shield generator in his left arm. The coynite's eyes were wide as he watched. Cendar grabbed up the used supplies and dropped them into a bag. "So," he said as he lugged the bag to the closet and began filling it, "what'll it be?"

Jay'Cols fur moved around his mouth, indicating he was smiling.

"Its a deal" Jay'Col smirked, grabbing the sullustan and shoving him on Cendar's quilt, making a makeshift sack out of it by tieing the top.

"Ready when you are" Jay'Col spoke, opening the door.

The security, however, were getting worried.

"Send a platoon to the 103rd floor, Sector E!" Shouted the holocamera monitor.

Scores of security ran towards all the exits of the 103rd floor, surrounding the two bounty hunters slowly without them yet knowing...

A small light began flashing on the holo screen. Cendar quickly moved over towards it and flipped the switch, revealing the view through the hall's security cameras that he had sliced earlier. "Kriff!" he exclaimed. The proximity alarms had detected the security forces, and Cendar was watching them close in. "Alright, then," he said. "Time to have some fun."

Cendar activated his personal shield again. With a quick glance at Jay'Col, he plunged the shield through the floor and to the ceiling of the apartment below. He made a small circle, just large enough for the two beings to drop through, and he motioned for the Coynite to go first with the prisoner. He grabbed his stuff and dropped through afterwards.

Luckily, the room below was unoccupied. "Well, Jay'Col, I do beleve we've worn out our welcome, eh? What say we get the kriff out of here?"

With Jay'Col's agreement, Cendar and the coynite headed for the hangar bays. With a little luck, they would get there before security even figured out they were gone.

Jay'Col held the Sullustan over his shoulder.

"Cendar, guards!" Jay'Col shouted, pointing out the corridor where an entire platoon were waiting.

The guards all loaded their rifles.

"Oh crap" Jay'Col muttered, shutting the door and blocking it with his force pike.

"GO GO GO!" Jay'Col shouted.

Cendar stared at the hysterical coynite. He hadn't thought aliens like this got scared this bad. "Calm down, you furry piece of bantha crap. It's just guards. Ain't no match for me."

He reached down and opened a compartment in his bionic leg, pulling out an unusual-looking device. He attached the thing to his right forearm, latching it into place and connecting a few cables and tubes. "Ever seen one of these before?" he asked. The coynite shook its head. "Well, they used to be real popular on those Super Battle Droids during the Clone Wars. Watch."

Activating his personal shield, Cendar threw open the door. The first few bolts from the guards' blasters struck the shield and either glanced off or were absorbed. Then Cendar leveled his right arm at them.

Blaster bolts flew rapidly from the attachment on his wrist. Three guards were down inside of two seconds, and the rest were fleeing. "Come on, now," he said. "Let's blow this joint." The two headed for the hanger bays. Hopefully they wouldn't meet any patrols. The downed guards were not dead - their body armor had protected them - but neither would they be speaking anytime soon. Unconscious men usually don't.

Jay'Col smirked. "I like your style" he muttered.

The corridors were littered with fleeing passengers, Cendars huge bulk sending them scarpering.

"The hangar bay is 4 floors up" Jay'Col shouted, pointing to a service elevator and heading towards it.

"Going up?" Jay'Col asked.

Cendar looked around at the devastation he had caused and smiled. This was his type of fight. Making sure Jay'Col still had the Sullustian, Cendar shook his head. "No point in taking the slow service elevator. They can track us that way," he said. "Follow me."

The bounty hunter led the coynite through the passages and hallways of the Astoria so quickly that it seemed as though he had been born there. In truth, he had simply switched his left-eye vision to heat sensing and was avoiding armed patrols. After a short time, they reached a booth of sorts. "A Shifter," Cendar stated. "Transports you where you want to go. Get in."

Following the coynite into the multi-person shifter, Cendar keyed in an ID number. "The guards will be looking for us in the main hangar," he said. "I doubt they'll be looking in the downport, especially this late. It can get dangerous down there at night."

A quick flash of light, and Cendar said, "We're here." He opened the door cautiously. "Good. No one around." He stepped out and pointed out a cargo ship to the coynite. "I'm gonna head out first. I'll distract the Astoria authorities. You steal that and head out. I'll meet you in space above Ryloth in three days." With that, Cendar grabbed the Sullustian from Jay'col and headed for his own ship, a sleek freighter that had been heavily modified.

He quickly ran the start-up sequence, blasting out of the hangar less than a minute later. Astoria authorities quickly pounced on him, but through fancy flying - and due to his ship's modifications - he eluded them. He saw the cargo freighter enter hyperspace, so he hit the thrusters and quickly outdistanced the Astoria fighters. Entering hyperspace moments later, he settled in for a long journey.

Jay'Col looked on in amazement. "He is one smooth runner" Jay'Col muttered before running and hotwiring the cockpit doors of the cargo ship. As soon as they seperated Jay'Col leapt onto the seat and activated everything. "Ryloth... Twilek homeworld" Jay'Col spoke, the sound activated navigation bringing up maps in its programmed language. "Basic" Jay'Col barked to the computer before flying into the blank space, the hyperdrives preparing for the distance about to be travelled

*3 days later, Ryloth Sector*

A cargo ship appeared from what seemed as nowhere, its pilot carefully hiding the craft in space.

"Illusion" Jay'Col smiled. "Now for the cyborg" He finished, leaning back.
