(INteresting avatar wolf, but I like the old one better. Of course, that might be because I'm use to the old one. Whatever, I'm sure I'll adjust

Now I"m sorry I never read the Han Solo triligy)

"Very interesting, gentlemen," Salu said impatiently, "but if you haven't noticed there are Tenloss cronys on our heels right now, so I believe it's time we make our leave."

But he was only "business" on the outside. On the inside he was deep in though.

Uul-Raa-Shan. Now that was a name he hadn't heard in a long time...

(It's more fitting of a Bounty Hunter though, wouldn't you say? It's already growing on me. And don't worry...I need to re-read that trilogy anyway. Haven't touched it in years. Just remembered the name is all.)

"Believe me, I know," Wolf growled as he aimed his pistol down the hall and fired without so much as glancing down it. A heavily armored Tenloss soldier with the only part of his body not well covered, his small view slit, smoking, stood rigid for a moment and fell backwards into the room they'd just left with a clatter and a thud.

He holstered the small weapon and took his carbine from its resting place on his shoulder, flicking off the safety in the same deft movement, "I'm just a little concerned, since we left a legendary gunmen laying unconscious back there...still alive, to threaten us again."

Salu started, but Wolf cut him off, "That lizard wracked up hundreds of kills during his career before Star's End, and to hear survivors tell it, even Solo, a truly outstanding quick draw, barely got away from him alive," He growled again, "Pardon me for being a little concerned." The red Mandalorian looked a bit annoyed, even muttering something, but didn't retort.

Xavier nodded as the three ran down the hall, eventually coming to a dead end, at which stood a single Firm trooper. The man waved them over, uttered a few words under his breath, and a door opened up to their left. "Follow this," He said, disappearing...the slight reflection of light indicating that he'd activated a personal cloaking field.

Wolf let the other two enter first and, taking one last look around, ran in. The door, a massive durasteel chunk...the type used for starship hulls, slammed shut behind them, "Now...just what in the hell are we going to do?"

All around the three hunters were guards. Guards bracing the door. Guards covering the door with their blasters. Guards lining the hall back to the Overlords new position. They were everywhere, and all three of the Bounty Hunters knew this. Every one had their weapons drawn, just in case. Salu had his Commando Rifle, Xavier his E-11, and Wolf his Precision Pistol.

The guards around them saw their weapons and trained their own on them, but they didn't know what to do. They just muttered amoung themselves and given suspicious glances as they headed down the hall.

They were led back to the Overlords second office by a pair of large Trandosian guards. The Overlord himself was guarded by his Noghri. They stepped into the room, Salu in the lead, since he was the only one who had actually met the Overlord before this occasion.

The Overlord spoke first. "Gentlemen. I know why you're here. You want assistance, correct?" He the powerful manner that told you he was powerful, and the dignified manner that told you he was well educated.

"Well," he continued, "Fifteen miniutes ago we wouldn't have helped you. You understand that it is best for us to remain behind the scenes. But now..." he hesatated. "After the events that just unfolded, it is obvious to me that our presence on this station is compromised as long as the Tenloss Syndicate is around to oppose us. The attack earlier, on one of our most secret locations on the station, shows that they know a great deal about us. Yes... We will not be safe until they are gone at least away from this station, if now completely wiped out. We will give you all the assistance you desire in exchange for there removal from the station. At the completion of this job we will give you each, say, 10,000 credits? Would that be good enough?

"That would be adequate," Salu answered. In reality, it would not pay his oporating expensis for half a year, but long ago he had learned not to provoke or argue with these gangster types. "We thank you for your time."

"We'll get those troops to you as soon as you need them. Just give us..."

Salu threw a data card with the place the troops would be needed already pointed out. "Send them there." And with that he left.

"Well, that was easier than I expected," Wolf muttered under his breath.

Salu had overheard him. "Yes, it was, and for a very good reason. That was not the overlord."

(Heh...been a long, long, long time since I've even looked at this. Apologies all around. If either of you are still interested in continuing, I'm game.)

Suppressing a chuckle, Wolf nodded as he spoke, "Well of course he isn't. It'd be just plain stupid for the leader of an organization like this to actually meet with a trio of bounty hunters. That'd be like walking up to a would-be assassin and literally leaping onto the guy's vibroblade for him."

"Now," He sighed as he took a look around the Firm's base, certainly one of many such hideouts within the Astoria, and posed a question to the crimson Mandolorian walking at a relaxed pace just in front of him, "Mind letting me in on the basics of this plan you've apparently got, Salu? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's...eh...sound...but I'd still like to know where I stand in all of this."

They passed through the huge durasteel door and began down the hallway, with Xavier close behind them. After a second or two, all three came to the room where they'd been ambushed just minutes ago.

"Assuming I'll still be standing once the mynock hits the intake fan, because judging from what I've seen so far, that's what it'll be...a bloody mess," Wolf said, a bit sardonically, just as they were stepping over the bodies of Tenloss soldiers which filled what used to be a doorway. Immediately, he noticed something wrong...they were about 190 lbs. short of scales and guns...

"Oh and our buddy, the walking Purse, appears to be missing," His voice gave an impression very similar to somebody saying 'I told you so', "and who could have predicted that...usually, I'm against it, but in his case, I was willing to make an exception to blasting a disabled opponent."

OOC: I'm game to continue. How about Salu?

Xavier nodded. It made sense. He looked at Wolf. "So what do you reckon we should do now?" He inquired.

OOC: Got hectic around here and I really didn't have much time for this, then just gave up entirely. The whole senior year thing, trying to find a suitable college, figuring out prices, and actually passing all my classes has been taking up a lot of time. The slacking these past years, to ridiculous levels, really hasn't helped me out too much.

But, I've got time now, and things are settling down again, so...yeah.

Looking forward to continuing. ;)

(Never mind that post, I found the time :) BTW, I got a great twist that will be great fun once we actually do the attack)

"Tomorrow, the Overlord, Sever Han, will be meeting with several other syndicates. Nearly every one of them will have a large bounty placed on their head by some competitive. The total cost of the merchandise in the room is twelve million credits. Sever Han alone is worth five million.

"Now tomorrow what will happen is I'll have you two and some of the best mercenaries money can buy create a diversion fairly close to the conference. Not too close, and you're not going to be too professional because we don't want them to stop the meeting, but enough to get them to move as many of their men as possible in that direction.

"At the same time, I will sneak in, Capture Sever Han and the others, and then get out of there."

Seeing Wolfs doubt at the fact he was going to do it alone, he said, "Trust me, I have my ways."

"Now until then, we have twelve hours. The mercenaries will be in position on time and you can arrive about half an hour before showtime. But until then, all we have to do is survive."

"All right, so we're the diversion and you're the sacraficial lamb?" Wolf chuckled a little before continuing, "Fine by me. Just make sure you don't wind up a smoking crater in that conference room. I really hate cleaning up other people's messes."

He grinned, "On second thought, that'd make our cuts quite a bit larger now wouldn't it, Xavier?" Upon seeing Salu's sudden tenseness, he quickly followed up, "Only kidding! Sheesh, take a joke, will ya? Just give me a call when you need me, and I'll come in, guns blazin'."

"But, until then, I've got some preparations to make." With a nod of his jet black helmet, he started off down one of the many tunnels, humming a jaunty tune to himself while accessing the Astoria's public blueprints via the connection he constantly maintained with its maintenance system. It took a few seconds to find another exit different from the one they'd taken to come down, and he promptly headed in its direction.

We may actually pull this off...I just hope he knows what he's doing taking on those crimelords by himself...after all, I won't be there to pluck his ass from the fire.
