The Friendly Skies burst out of Hyperspace close to a trawling hauler drifting by. Odacious pulled up quickly to avoid collision as he cursed under his breath. His ship slightly shaked with the quick change in direction. Red lights flashing in his face.
"I know! I see it!" Odacious yelled at his ship still getting over his near miss.
He studied the hauler for a moment and raised an eyebrow. Odacious was about to open communication with the slow moving hauler when something caught his eye outside the cockpit...something large.
Odacious jumped a moment as his communication alarm sounded. Odacious realised he must have been out of it for a moment, looking at the large station in front of him.
"Unkown ship, this is Astral Astoria please identify yourself and your business here".
Odacious rubbed the stubble on his chin for a moment, thinking the best way to assess the situation.
"I was about to ask you guys the same thing".
Odacious rolled his eyes. His response was not going to win friends over.
"We have completed a thorough scan of your ship. There are no identification numbers nor a cargo hold".
Odacious studied the large station as he listened. He knew his ship was going to rouse suspicion but a station of that size would not be intimidated.
"I had to make a quick jump from my last location. I was attacked by mercenaries. Unfortunatley I had to plot the fasted and quickest numbers and ended here. I just need to pay for repairs and supplies".
There was a moment of silence. He knew the word 'pay' would increase his chances.
"You have been given permission to dock with Astral Astoria. We have logged your path and have you in tractor. Please do not try and stray as we begin the process. We will send you information for your stay in a moment".
Odacious was about to reply before communication was cut from the station. Odacious sat back in his chair with a sigh. He didn't know what he was in for but at least he had a place to stay for the moment.
The Friendly Skies slowly began its path towards the station. Odacious grabbed his belt and vest that were hanging over his chair as he watched the docking station slowly begin to fill the outside of his cockpit.
"I will be on my best behaviour" he said quietly to his ship as he rubbed the console in front of him.
"Too bad trouble has a way of finding me".
