Logan turned to a different holoprojector, "No this is about something else..."

He leaned down and touched a few keys on the projector. An image sprang to life, one that was known throughout the galaxy.

"This is about Bhindi Drayson."

Onyxian Commonwealth Declared Rogue State

With the recent events on Glee Anselm and Bilbringi, the Empire has concluded that the Onyxian Commonwealth no longer supports the Coalition Charter and has, in fact, gone rogue.

"The building of a secret base and holding hostage a dying race is equivalent to the acts of a terrorist organization." - One unnamed Military Command leader commented.

The recent attack on Bilbringi, while called a punitive raid by Solicitor General Marth Meer, was anything but.

"From an analysis of the overall attack strategy," commented a Senior High Command Analyst, "and based on accounts given by the Onyxian prisoners from Bilbringi, it seems the commander of the attack disregarded any Coalition leadership directives on punitive action and supplanted those directives with an assassination attempt."

Assassination is highly recognized as a tactic commonly employed by terrorist organizations to acheive their ends.

Both actions, against the League of Nations, Glee Anselm and the Empire respectively, demonstrate the Onyxian Commowealth's intent to separate themselves from former Coalition ties.

"Psychologically, since the Coalition went ahead and kept old Outer Rim Sovereignty leaders in high positions throughout their former territories annexed, it is only natural that these leaders would eventually try to erase their failure of old by declaring, through action, their independence and dependence on the same Coalition that so propped up their pride. It's no secret that ORS's leading Admiral turned into a terrorist and now, finally, his old military and political leadership is following his example." A leading Psychologist stated.

As with any terrorist attack, the response against the rogue state of Onyxian Commonwealth has been swift and determined.

"Coalition shipping and citizens are encouraged to flee across the Onyxian borders towards safe havens of territory remaining firm behind the Coalition charter." reported Admiral Jaeder from the Imperial High Command.

Vigor Snarfhoober, author of the book 'Corellian Judgement: Charge of Insanity' had this to say: "The Coalition made a grave error in keeping the Outer Rim Sovereignty Leadership in place as their current acts of independence surely void any diplomatic relations with the Empire.

Remember, it was Theren Gevel's march through their territory that split the Outer Rim Sovereignty and we would have conquered the entire faction had it not been for diplomatic intercession on their behalf by then High Lord Regrad of the Coalition. We can only assume that had the Empire conquered the whole of the Outer Rim Sovereignty, their pacification would have been complete today. We would not have the tragedies that we see today, namely, Glee Anselm and Bilbringi."

There can be no question that the Outer Rim Sovereignty's hatred has survived Coalition ideology indoctrination and is in full bloom.

"If left to their own devices and allowed to organize and recover, we will have yet another terrorist organization attacking Imperial citizens and assets at whim. It is clear that the Coalition is incapable of controlling the Onyxian leaders." Admiral Ckeller is noted as saying. "We shall remove the Onyxian's war making potential and, by Emperor, we shall hold them! Pacification measures will immediately commence!"

Azrael Zell, late for a briefing before the arrival of the Coalition Prime Minister, stopped to make this assessment, "The Onyxian's threw their shit away with the attack. Removal of their offensive capabilities is a forgone conclusion now. But they will hide on their planets rebuilding their shit unless we go to them, uproot them and kick them in their balls!"

Snarfhoober, on the subject of pacification, had this to say: "It will definitely be harder now than during the GC/Sovereignty War because democratic ideologies have crept into the old "Griff's" hardline policy drivers. Then, all you had to do is cut off the head and everyone would have fallen into line. Now, divisions have crept into Onyxian society but, instead of harmony of differing opinions where everything is wonderful and you worship Azguard Gods as the Coalition would hope, you have a society motivated by hate divided along sectarian lines. The pacification may come under constant sectarian violence thus requiring additional forces until peace is achieved."

Whatever the challenges that lay ahead, the Empire has determined that the life of the aggressive, rogue state of Onyxian Commonwealth will be a short one.

In a surprise move, Prime Minister Regrad has travelled to Imperial Center to meet with his August Majesty Emperor Daemon Hyfe. He was seen being escorted to the palace just moments ago and it is thought that the Coalition leader will attempt to negotiate that the Empire's response be limited to the rogue state alone and not the Coalition.

Several hardliners were calling for a full invasion of the Coalition claiming the Onyxian Commonwealth was not a rogue state but that it's seizure and holding hostage of Glee Anselm, the Imperial military and civilian deaths as a result of the Bilbringi attack and the assassination attempt of Grand Moff Bhindi Drayson represents the true Coalition agenda.

These hardliners were staved off by an observation from the Supreme Military Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces, Simon Kaine, that these actions of the Onyxian Commonwealth do not represent the actual Coalition directives and that Onyxians were acting contrary (and therefore in rebellion) to Prime Minister Regrad's and Coalition Congress's directives. He stated that if Grand Moff Bhindi Drayson had been assassinated, it might have thrown the military units into temporary confusion and effected a withdrawal leaving the emerging new faction of Onyx with a sizeable fleet on the doorstep of the Empire and would have given them quite a bargaining chip in their negotiations for political recognition.

Hardliners, however, countered that the Supreme Commander was simply offering the Coalition a political way out of their latest debacle with the Empire by offering up Onyx as the proverbial sacrificial lamb and that only a full invasion of the Coalition would show them the error of their ways.

Support for the Supreme Commander's observations and conclusions, however, have come in the form of the Cren Alliance, whose territory was granted back to them by the Empire with a firm treaty in place prohibiting attacks against the Empire or any of it's territories. Bilbringi fleet composition showed several Cren warships in the mix, a clear violation of treaty.

Would the Prime Minister order the Cren to violate their individual treaty with the Empire? With the Coalition war against the Black Dragon Empire so devestating, would the Cren agree to such a disasterous risk?

Even the hardliners seem to be confused about this issue and it seems reasonable that Kaine's observation that those Cren present at Bilbringi were those swept up in the Onyxian spirit of rebellion against the Coalition and not a clear violation of the treaty by the Cren Alliance.

It is thought these criminals severed their relationship with the Cren Alliance along with the Coalition with their newfound Onyxian brothers as they gathered their strength for push into Imperial Space. It is presumed that the status of the treaty with the Cren Alliance will be determined by both the negotiations of Prime Minister Regrad, currently underway, and the negotiations with a seperate representative expected soon from the Cren Alliance.

More news later as this breaking story unfolds.
