Take Over Of Rhen Var
The Black Dragon Empire, one of the biggest rulers of the galaxy along with the Galactic Coalition and The New Order. The empire is located at the border regions and that was where imperial inquisitor Chardoc ran to hide not knowing that he had been spotted by the empire. He was soon enough taken from his new small apartment and taken before the eyes of the people who had authority in the empire. Chardoc had still his price and stood up, but had been almost falling from the shock that he was offered a place in the empire to do what he best could besides fighting. That had been 2 years from now and at this moment Chardoc sat comfortably in his home, which was almost a villa of some sort and enjoyed his life, but soon enough more work would come. He whirled his drink in his glass, but didn’t really drink it because he thought that alcohol only destroyed men. He heard a small beep and sighed; he got up from his chair and placed the glass on a table next to the chair. The chair was warm and comfortable unlike the line of duty he had to make all tough this duty wasn’t really the inquisitor stuff, but sometimes frustrating. He walked trough a hallway and opened a door to an open space, a room that had no furniture and no joy. It was a cold and dark room, but it perfectly suited for training because only thing that you needed was space and some to train with.
Chardoc stepped into the room with his robes touching the floor and the door closing behind him, he walked to the centre of the room and took a look around; next he stood there concentrating to his surroundings. He was no jedi or sith, but he had trained his senses and hearing was one of the best that he had because even a blind man could fight only knowing what he heard. Chardoc stood there and listened to the room hearing a slight sound, but made no reactions to it letting his enemy think that he was unaware. Chardoc turned away shrugging and began walking out of the room, but suddenly a smaller figure jumped out of the shadows towards Chardoc and Chardoc blocked the punch of his apprentice, who worked as his personal assistant also.
“Now what did I teach you about assassins and their cheap tricks?”
Chardoc smiled as he dodged a punch towards his head and swept the legs under the young man who tried effortlessly to land a hit on his master, the young man jumped up continuing the attack. Chardoc was quite proud that the 18 years old apprentice had such guts knowing that Chardoc didn’t like assassins because they were cowards. Chardoc blocked a punch with his wrist and grabbed the boys other hand, he threw the boy away from him almost against the wall. Chardoc cleaned his robes slightly with an amused look on his face.
“You’ll end up like your father did, if you keep that line and don’t become a true fighter my apprentice…”
This got a new fire burning in the boy’s eyes and Chardoc knew that the boy’s father was a sensitive subject, but Chardoc never wanted to hurt or mock he boy quite the opposite actually. It worked as an encouragement to the boy and got him to try even harder. Chardoc dodged punches with a smile on his face and blocked few until he kicked the boy in the knee cap, which collapsed him and Chardoc decided to test him. Chardoc turned his back on the boy and looked at the door while the boy checked his hurt knee.
“As I was saying your father was a dirty assassin and so will you be, if you don’t take my lesson or this art seriously because it requires commitment to it not just will to learn it, but that depends on you like it did depend on me when I learned it…”
The apprentice tried to hit Chardoc in the back of his neck and Chardoc turned blocking the hit with a smile on his face, he spanned around and tried to sweep the boys legs, but he jumped up and Chardoc got up to block a series of strikes. Chardoc blocked the boys strike with a smile on his face.
“You know, if my counting head doesn’t betray me I could face crushed your throat about 3 times already…”
“Really?” The boy asked with a small smile on his face.
Chardoc shook his head quite sadly.
“No, just toying with you…”
Chardoc suddenly guided the boy’s hands up and kicked him in the knee cap continuing with a punch to the jaw only powerful enough to leave the boy on the floor. Chardoc left the room, but stopped to say few words.
“You should seriously train harder boy…”
The boy looked back with a blood coming from his mouth.
“I have a name if you recall master…”
Chardoc nodded.
“Yes, but then I wouldn’t have an apprentice anymore…”
Chardoc left the room back to his chair, but before he sat down he cursed hard because his message coming up and he hurried to his message systems where he pushed a button opening a hologram message. A figure appeared on it and began speaking.
“Inquisitor Chardoc you have been given a new mission and this time it’s the real deal, you have been charged to lead takeover of Rhen Var and we believe that you are quite skilled for the task. You are to leave immediately for the star dragon ship named Ember, which is currently under captain Herte and he is waiting for your arrival so that you may begin you trip. There is of course more to this than the Rhen Var system because the high inquisitor believes that we need to begin to show this galaxy our might, but by that he means increasing our power. Victoria Empire Draconis, Inquisitor Chardoc“
Chardoc nodded and pushed the button closing the message.
“Victoria Empire Draconis indeed…”
Chardoc walked to his own room, but first opened the door by inserting a code known only by him, he began changing his clothes to his uniform, which was black and dark green robe with a hood that he usually had up all tough there was no true reason. Perhaps he wanted always to look dramatic and make a threatening impression of himself all tough he wasn’t threatening except when he was angry. In fact he was a very calm person, but that didn’t suggest that he wouldn’t be dangerous and cunning, he was knew the steel hands martial arts quite well as it translated in to common language. He was the worst kind in the eyes of the imperials and even his current side, but most had learned to respect Chardoc and what came to his real “people”. He had been an imperial inquisitor until he exiled from the empire because his own personal political views and ideals changed. If he would ever meet high ranking imperial officers the only thought that could come in their mind first would be coward or worse traitor. Chardoc threw the hood over his head and opened his com link to his apprentice.
“Boy I leave you to train and watch over this house while I am on business, but if anything should happen to my property I assure you that I have a lesson in store for you that you’ll never forget…”
Chardoc closed it and made his way to the landing pad of the building where he had a small shuttle for small travelling such as this trip; Chardoc opened the landing ramp and entered the cockpit. He sat down and closed the landing ramp; he began activating the systems and could feel the engine starting. The shuttle “legs” made a sound and came in the shuttle as the engines lifted the shuttle up and soon the shuttle speeded away from the building. Chardoc hadn’t actually watched over such expansion trips yet, but soon he believed he would have more than enough things to do because he would gain the trust of those who have the true authority in this empire. Chardoc entered the quite disturbingly peace less space, which had ships going to the planet, circling it and leaving it like Chardoc`s shuttle. He approached a Tion Dragon Claw that circled the planet waiting for its new leader or at least a man that would lead them to create and outpost to a god forsaken planet. Chardoc opened the hailing frequencies to the Ember.
“This is inquisitor Chardoc speaking, I believe that I can approach your ship and land captain Herte?”
A moment of sounds and screeching radio sounds came out before the captain answered to the inquisitor.
“This is captain Herte Inquisitor Chardoc, you are clear to land in the hangar sir, but shall I have an escort for you inquisitor?”
Chardoc chuckled slightly and answered.
“No need captain, if I can crush a man`s throat with by bare hands I think such won’t be a problem, if you are worried of my security and I am not that stupid to get lost in a ship….Chardoc out… ”
Chardoc closed the channel and turned the shuttle to the hangar, he let it slowly slide in the hangar with the former speed until landed nicely and was still amazed that his pilot skills hadn’t really gotten rusty. Chardoc corrected his robes and opened the ramp to a hangar with some droids working as usual, the fighters were in a nice line and the personnel seemed to be under a strict discipline. Chardoc had forgotten what the army could be like after taking out tasks alone without the need of soldiers, discipline was one of the qualities what he liked and that was one thing why he joined the army. Chardoc entered the elevator crossing his arms on his chest waiting for the elevator to move, but unfortunately as all elevators had many people on them and different floors between Chardoc`s destination. Finally the elevator reached the top and he walked out with a smile on his face because he was quite a threatening looking figure, a hooded almost 2 metres high man with black hair and cold green grey eyes. He walked to the captain who was comfortable sitting in a chair, but got up as one of the officers greeted the inquisitor and so did the captain. Chardoc answered with slight nods to the greeters, he never raised his hands like that because such was a thing not suitable for his style because it was a military thing. He was no soldier, but a warrior and an inquisitor, the difference between a warrior and a soldier were significant. Soldier had to be disciplined because he would take orders and to maintain his nerves in battle, but a warrior had to have discipline to be a warrior and to win his battles. He sat in the chair crossing his legs, he liked the chair it was much like the one at home, but not that comfortable. Bloody hell, not even the navy had nice chairs, but of course luxury wasn’t a part of soldier’s life or a warrior’s life like the training room at his home. He looked around the bridge and sighing he shrugged slightly.
“Captain what is our status? I am no captain, but I do know about being a leader, a warrior and an inquisitor…”
The captain quickly nodded and gave few orders.
“We are good to go, we have full supplies and fuel, which means we can head to Rhen Var right away…”
“But do we have our troops aboard?” Chardoc quickly interrupted.
“Yes si..”
“Good! Then let us move out and take what is rightfully belonging to the empire, but is only standing there without no one to guard it and securing that planet under our guard is the mission…but tell me captain… has there been any negative talks of me around here? I want no lying or patronizing captain just a straight and honest answer, unless you want your arm broken and I guarantee that is no funny experience, but for me it wasn’t when my father did that to me…“
The captain stood there for a moment quietly staring t him, but quickly recovered and answered to the more honourable leader.
“Well few have been talking about it because you know what some think, but did you’re…”
Chardoc smiled, but covered it with his hand.
“Oh he most certainly did break my hand, but accidentally of course during my training…and yes… once a traitor is always a traitor… heard that before, but I am not going to betray this empire because I have adapted its ways and truths….Now continue with your duties captain and get this ship to Rhen Var….”
Chardoc leaned back in the chair and watched as the stars changed his stripes as they left towards Rhen Var, which was a cold place to be unlike his nice chair, which wasn’t a better change at all. He had actually forgot what it was like to be in hyperspace after dusting in his house, planet and travelling slowly or sleeping during the trip. Actually he had forgotten what it was like to be in command, the last time he felt like that was on the bridge of a certain star destroyer, which unfortunately was destroyed.
