The Sick Brother (Closed)

A deep, cruel laugh echoed in the mind of Davon Enascor as he shot up errupting from a dream, a vision even. In it, he just saw two brothers. A sick one and a strong, healthy one. Davon also heard a laugh. Not a normal mans laugh but someone elses. Sweat dripped off his chin and onto his lap and bare chest. Although he was still only an apprentice himself, Enascor felt it was his time to leave his master and seek out this being.

"Em Nine," Davon had activated a comlink which rested on a small shelf by his bed, "Ready the ship, I want to leave as soon as I get there."

"Yes Sir," came back the mechanical creation that was off in a docking bay, inside a customized Shroud cruiser. The Shroud had been outfitted to be fully automated by droids and she had been refitted with a docking bay for a snubfighter.

Davon dressed himself in a loose black tunic and pants, his usual attire which his master had given him to wear. He grabbed his belt and slide it around his waist, locking it together with the metal hinge. His belt held not only his lightsaber, but his comlink, an aqua breather, and a few other nifty gadets.

As Davon walked down the corridor, towards the end of the hallway, where the turbolift was came out two men. Dave took note but continued to proceed toward them. When the distance between the two parties was less then ten meters, the men pulled blaster rifles from their backs.

"Davon Enascor. Please stop moving at this time or we will shoot." The one on the left ordered.

"Gentlemen...I am in a rush. So, tell me your point." Mr. Enascor said calmly to them.

"If you'll just," His voice sped up into an adrenilined rushed hate, "DIE!" He screamed at Davon as he and his partner unleasehd a fury of shots at the dark Jedi. Too slow. The Grand Praetor's apprentice had sensed there hate and drew his lightsaber from its clip on his belt. Davon felt reassured as the familiarsnap-hiss, brought the crimson red blade to life. In a matter of seconds the ordeal was over. Davon was on the ground, checking the bodies of the two dead men for any identification or datacards.

The only thing he did find out was that the two both worked for a local delivery service and had used that as a ploy to gain access to Davon. He brushed the matter off as he finished his walk to the bay, as he was unhurt and didn't give a care about the two men he had killed. By the time he reached the Shroud he was already focused again on finding these brothers and who ever was laughing at him.

Mr. Enascor slapped a rather large button on the wall, next to the boarding plank on the Shroud. At that same moment the automated commander of the ship, M-nine, proceeded to exit the docking bay, setting a course for space. The Shrouds many Dreamweaver engines falred up with life, giving off a familiar hum that was always accompanied when any engine turned on.

When Davon entered the command room, none of the ships automated crew responded. They just continued on their jobs at hand. The Dark Jedi approached M-nine and ordered him to set course for a sector, which he pointed out on a holographic map. A sector which was in the unknown regions.

"Sir, do you think it is wise to go exploring in the unkown regions in a ship like this?" M-nine spoke out in his metallic voice.

"Shut up." Davon said as he retreated to his room. Not wanting to be questioned by droids. That really pissed him off. Soon enough though, while he was meditating in his room, he felt the engine hum increase as the ship lurched into hyperspace.

Silence was golden. Davon enjoyed the company of silence. It was something that he valued more so than he did the incompetant droid commander, M-9. When they reached his destination Davon was most likely going to look for a new commander of his ship. Possibly even a human or other type of organic being.

BZZT! BZZT!, an alarm went off alerting the ship to prepare for reenternace to realspace. Enascor's silence was broken. While he was happy to get out of hyperspace he was unsure about the saftey of his vessel. He felt a disturbance in the force.

"Em Nine, report!" Davon snapped to the useless droid pretending to be in command of the ship as he entered the bridge.

"There appears to be a high level of activaty originating from the dying sun."

"How long till it dies?"

"The computer estimates three years, nine weeks, and three days. " Davon stopped listening even though the droid kept rambling on about something. The young force user felt a pressence on the second planet.

"Em Nine...do a scan of the second planet." Just as the words exited his mouth the Shroud was hurled forward towards the planet as if something had grabbed it and yanked it into the planet. The last thing Mr. Enascor remembered was seeing the planet rush up at him as the blackness took over.

He remembered that his face smacked into a consol and it hurt as much as being hit by a sledge hammer but after that Davon couldn't remember anything. The aging apprentice looked around the bridge of his ship. Shambles. She's ruined he thought. Great. Now I am stuck on some planet in the middle of nowhere. Then he felt them. There were someones approaching.

Davon hoped to his feet checking for his lightsaber. Good. Still there and working...I hope. In a matter of a couple of minutes he was standing on the top of the ship, looking around. The Shroud had crashed into a cavern, the stalagmites were crumbled beneath it, meaning the armor held up.

"Get him!" said a voice heavily accented, but in basic. Davon turned around and met two assailants; both carrying crude knives. Enascor's first move was to knock the closest guy into the second guy with the force, but he missed the second guy.

The second guy came at him and swung wide with the knife. Davon jumped back slightly, avoiding, then grabbed the hand with the knife, followed by him place his elbow on the attackers elbow, snapping the joint. A scream of pain and the clangor of dropping metal ensued. With the force, Davon called the knife to his hand and promptly launched it into the first attackers head. Finishing the job with a simple kick, sending the injured men to his death on a stalagmites.

"Interesting tool you have there, care to demonstrate?" Said a voice from a rope up above. In an instant he landed a meter or two infront of Davon. In is hand is a metalic snake with its mouth open. With a snap-hiss a red beam protruded from its mouth.

"Oh shi--" Davon's words were cut of harshly as the antagonist lunged at him, bringing down the beam towards Enascor's right shoulder. Luckily, the force was with him and he had ample time to roll left. With a boost of the force he skillfully lept several meters up and over, landing quite a ways away from the other man. Snap-hiss, with that it had begun.

Davon's saber went high to prevent a slice. Then he shifted his weight and angle once again to prevent another. He played a defensive game, not yet striking. Waiting for that perfect moment when he knew it would be time to unleash hell's furry upon the man who wanted his life. The missed slices would sometimes cut through the Shroud's armor like butter. This pained the Grand Praetor's apprentice; watching his precious ship being burned.

The misses were getting more narrow and blocks weaker. Davon needed to do something to avoid becoming a shish-kabob. And fast. Use the enviorment to your benefit. He remembered his old master telling him that. He looked around, taking note of the stalactites and stalagmites, the ship, the bodies, and the ropes they came down in on. That's it! he thought as he turned a block into a counter-strike sending his opponent to the ground.

He had all the time he needed as he collected himself in the force and ran a few feet, then vaulting into the air. Davon snagged the rope with his feet, then pulled himself up. Distributing the weight evenly with his hands. The Dark Jedi apprentice looked over and saw his opponent on the ship but no lightsaber. His eyes twitched up and saw a red blur flying towards his head.
