The men were in a frenzy as alarm ran through the fleet.

"Did you hear!" someone shouted as crewmen and women ran to their stations.

"It's war!"

"An attack on Fondor! Happening now!"

Questioning glances were spread around.

"Who?"

"Who's attacking?"

"Tholatin!"

"Who?"

"What's a Tholatin?"

"Republic?"

"New Republic?"

"No..the Tholatin Republic!"

"The Empire will crush them!"

"Death to Tholatins!"

The fire of rumors spread much more quickly than the actual battle and the Imperial Fleet near Muunilist sprang to action.

Or so people thought...

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "This breaking news just in: Preliminary reports have come in suggesting an attack on the imperial planet Fondor. Reports suggest the Tholatin Republic, if it can be called that, are responsible and the Imperial Navy is responding to this new threat.

Civilian traffic is encouraged to remain in port until the threat has been neutralized. The public is to expect military broadcasts to supercede our transmissions at regular intervals to keep us informed of Imperial Procedures and/or requests.

If you have a loved one on Fondor and are worried, the Imperial Office of Interior will be on hand to give you updated information as the battle progresses."

<click>

"Well Paul, what can you tell us about TTR and their treacherous attack?"

A man in an imperial uniform shifts in his chair to get comfortable. His demeanor suggests confidence.

"As you know, this is the first attack upon the Empire since Dantooine. As was then, the Navy will act with all due haste and strength. Expect Tholatin forces to be routed quickly. Expect the Empire to hunt every one of those backstabbing aliens and mount their heads in the Central Presidium."

"Do you feel that the TTR will inflict the same sort of damage on Fondor as the New Republic did at Dantooine?"

"Of the same type, yes. As serious? No. TTR is a shadow of the NR's power. They are an irritant, nothing more."

"I am sure our audience will feel reassured with that as the battle is currently progressing.---"
<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"Transmission off."

The civilian broadcast was a mere sliver against the backdrop of information being relayed to General Kaine through military cyphers.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The uneasy peace is finally crumbling.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

More intelligence on the TTR attack scrolled across and the briefing room of the Galactus was a flurry of activity.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> An attack that was going on right now!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The marvel of modern communications and the media is eating it up, reacting in their typical manner.

Glossy, mesmerizing... allowing the Empire to act without the civilian entanglements that disrupt their rebel counterparts.

It was not a totally unexpected move for the defunct government of the Tholatins was merely a lacky of the greater Rogue Empire.

When Imperial elements went rogue themselves such as the old Freedom Guard Corporation, the Empire acted. In fact, the pretender Fearsons tried to intervene then.

Kaine's eyes blazed at the memory of that old betrayal. The Empire should have crushed him then...

Then a rueful smile came across his lips. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Alas, even that would have been forgiven if the Dark Alliance would have held.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

In a bold move that most Imperial analysts would recognize as plain stupid, the Rogue Empire treacherously broke their alliance with the Empire and supported the assault on Dantooine.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> It's ironic how the Sith proved more honorable and loyal than the pathetic leaders of the so-called Shadow Jedi,<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> Kaine mused sardonically.

Even then, the Empire did nothing proving false the claims that Fearsons cowardly shouted from the safety of the ramparts on his fortress world of Despayre.

For years the Empire had attempted the noble pursuit of peace in the galaxy. For years they attempted to stich the galaxy back together with the yarn of good intentions but after repeated betrayals...after surprise attacks that nipped at their heals, trying to cause the giant to stumble, the Empire had had enough.

The galaxy turned the Empire's nobility to ash...

The lessor beings of the galaxy poked and prodded until the Empire had had it's fill of "good intentions".

Aggressive planning on a scale unheard of issued forth from the Imperium.

Now with the final elements of the Empire's planning put into place, all that was needed was a to sweep the board clean.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Once and for all.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

**

The dark silhouettes cut through the silence of space intent on their target system. The ships themselves were small but their markings boasted trouble for any who impeded their approach.

Captain Raynard watched the holographic projection of their progress. Sentinel's 2nd Division CIP Corps was on special assignment, their orders straight from General Kaine himself. Raynard smiled at the confidence and trust the Imperial General had placed i his hands.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Seven days and two microjumps later, we are finally on station.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The planning couldn't have been better for as the fleet had already been moved to action, only now was word coming through of the attack on Fondor.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The Tholatin government does not know we are already moving...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"Status!" he barked, turning from the tactical readout.

"Position confirmed, Sir!"

"Relaying to 2nd Sentinel."

"Bring the Generators online!"

Raynard felt the hull hum with the vibration of the activation of the interdiction field.

"Space us equally apart.. maximum field output!"

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Knowing Kaine, he would be running the gauntlet now.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

If Raynard hadn't been on station, there may have been quite a disaster in store.

Technically, they were in deepspace, just outside the outer orbital fringes of the last planet in the system. Here the tendrils of the primary's gravity fell against the ships of the Empire impotently.

"Launch sensor drones." and Raynard felt the release.

The increased vision brought back.. nothing.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> We are not expected.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Raynard smiled.

"3

1..

Premature Hyperspacial Terminus achieved! Reversion complete!"

And Sentinel II erupted out of hyperspace in formation, the dark hulls of the command ships like shadows falling across the smaller strike vessels and gunboats.

It was tricky business to rely on an interdiction field to pull the fleet to safety but a trick well worth it.

With Fearsons closing their lanes it was up to the Empire to create their own.

They had come out of hyperspace outside the system and Kaine smiled grimly at what was coming next.

For what lay before them was their prize.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Togoria<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The midpoint between Chandrilla and Averam on the Rogue Empire's major hyperlane. Rogue efforts had seen the closure of TRE's shipping lanes but one to their vaunted Capital, Despayre.

Common sense dictated Despayre to be heavily defended and while narrowing the routes into their mysterious Capital down to one strand did make it that much harder to assault, it also mean't that the Rogue Capital's link to the rest of it's empire depended heavily on that strand.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> And now it's been cut.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"Have the Abolishers run the system's circumference route and activate once Rear Admiral Jaiprenl's force arrives.

Have the cruiser and frigates penetrate the system and secure the main target, sublight engines only.

Fighter deployment ordered near spacial bodies."

The space around the massive Attack Spheres became littered with TIE Devils as they fanned out to extend Kaine's sight as well as his reach.

The Abolishers would cut off the the route to Chandrilla as well the route from Averam.

The formation spread out and the smaller, quicker strike cruisers pushed toward the goal with the flanking command class ships remaining along the circumference route.

<font color="#AE4848">The data flow was never ending…

Updates from Fondor had been streaming into Rear Admiral Jaiprenl’s ready room aboard the Judgment, since High Command had gotten word of it. No doubt his colleague, Rear Admiral Desaria, would make short order of the so-called Tholatin Republic forces. Rear Admiral Jaiprenl switched off the data stream, having been watching it to pass time en route to Togoria. He removed his uniform cap and massaged his temples.

Months of planning, and remaining on constant standby, he silently mediated, finally coming to fruition.

The buzzing of the commlink pierced his thought and made him jump. Many nights of sleep were sacrificed for the chance of being called upon to act. And now that they carried out their orders, tonight’s sleep would be sacrificed for battle…

No, this will not be for battle. It’s for the glory of the Empire.

He unclipped his commlink, place an iron grip on it, a byproduct of the tension he held in his body.</font>

“Yes?” <font color="#AE4848">he strained out as calmly as possible. All he wanted to do was rip off whoever’s head that was on the other end of the commlink.</font>

“Admiral,” <font color="#AE4848">came the eager voice. It was his second in command, Commodore Eryk Maedros.</font> “We are about to make premature hyperspace terminus. Your presence is requested on the bridge sir.”

“Thank you Commodore,” <font color="#AE4848">he squeezed out between his teeth.

The admiral had no intention of leaving his quarters until the premature terminus was complete. One Imperial Star Destroyers and anything smaller, revision into real space by way of interdiction fields was only a slight bump, but Admiral Jaiprenl had yet to experience it in anything larger than sixteen hundred meters. He spun his chair away from his desk and turned on the viewports in his ready room and watched as the color of hyperspace paint unique patterns that last only for seconds. The best art in the galaxy was that made by nature.

He became mesmerized by it, ignoring the buzzing commlink. He turned his chair so he could see it lying on his desk.

Patience, patience, he thought to himself, I’ll be there in good time. For it is time for the command to eat as well. A smile curved onto his face.

As he turned back to the viewports, he felt the entire ship, all two point two kilometers of it, lurch forward. Rear Admiral Jaiprenl’s chair tipped considerable, but did not throw him from it. He stood up and straightened his jacket, and the star filled viewports were now at eyelevel. He found his uniform hat on the floor, next to a smashed commlink. His ready room doors opened with a hiss, and with a quick pivot on his right foot he appeared on the bridge.

What stood, or in some cases lied, before him was chaos.</font>

“ADMIRAL ON THE BRIDGE!” <font color="#AE4848">his mouth gaped open and deep, commanding voice bellowed out.

In vain and haste, the crew gathered themselves and quickly snapped to attention. Rear Admiral Jaiprenl gave them all a stern look, and landed on Commodore Maedros, who almost collapsed under the penetrating gaze of his superior. If this was the Empire’s finest at work, he could only imagine the shamble that they’d face at Togoria.</font>

“Open a channel to Legion Two,” <font color="#AE4848">Rear Admiral Jaiprenl said softly, yet firmly.</font>

“Open sir,” <font color="#AE4848">came the comm. officer.</font>

“Groups Romeo, and Tango, assume coordinates on the hyperlane and activate pulse mass generators once in place. Relay orders to Legion I counterparts. Group Delta, remain at entry point, with interdiction fields deactivate. Relay orders to Legion I counterparts. Groups Alpha and Bravo, jam all planetary communication and push ahead. Jaiprenl out.”

<font color="#AE4848">Within minutes, Togoria was locked down from the rest of the galaxy and her empire. The main trade routes were now securely sealed off with active abolisher fields. Groups Alpha and Beta, along with the Forward Flank and Command Group of Legion I, slipped through the inky blackness towards Togoria. The Empire was on high alter now, with active missions going on at Yaga Minor and Togoria, and the planetary defense abolishers activated at Muunilist and Garqi, the bases of Legions I and II of Sentinel Fleet, respectively.</font>

“Commodore,” <font color="#AE4848">Rear Admiral Jaiprenl snapped, making the Commodore jump,</font> “I’ll be in my ready room conversing with General Kaine. The bridge is yours.”

<font color="#AE4848">He about faced before the young officer could appropriately respond to the orders given. The clicking of his boots over that short distance would pound in the Commodore’s head until they got into port. So quick to please his superior, but often times without thinking first. Another snap pivot on his right foot made the ready room doors hiss open. He tossed his uniform cap on the desk again, and reclined in his chair, taking and savoring that moment of relaxation before opening a comm. channel to the Galactus.</font>

OOC

I had quite literally no time to post this, I'll post a complete manifest when I sign on this morning.

The shields immediately became active, as did the mines. The fleet moved into a defensive posture.

OOC: The group has 72 hours to respond; you are not the group.

And I believe your last post stating "The shields immediately became active, as did the mines. The fleet moved into a defensive posture," is your reply, thus putting the ball in our court. We are in no way obligated to wait for you, so we are responding so soon as we have our posts typed.

As for your mystery fleet, we are treating them as if they are there, but are taking not fire from them. I'd like to know where they exactly came from too. There are no posts in your "Fleet Status" forum that lists an active defense fleet for Togoria, or that it a home port of one of your offensive fleets. If you could please show us a post where it states there is a fleet of some sort is stationed here, then you must bring it into the system.

Also, your defense manifest for Togoria was edited on August 6 4:27:24 pm while the attack started on that same day, nearly 15 hours before at 1:19:01 am. A tactial report taken on 29 of July reported NO sheilds being present on Togoria. If ample proof can be presented that the shields were added between July 29 and August 6, 1:19:01 am, we can only assume that they were added after, thus making them invalid and we are ignoring them.

<font color="#AE4848">General Simon Kaine had seen many battles, from aboard ships, and on the front line of the ground war. The creases in his faced showed it, but still masked his true age placing him anywhere from his early thirties to late forties, possibly bordering fifty. There was barely noticeable graying on the hair exposed by his uniform cap; the constant conflicted of the military will do that to a young officer. Still, both men conversing were thankful for their ranks at their young ages.</font>

“Greetings General,” <font color="#AE4848">Rear Admiral Jaiprenl began,</font> “I assume your trip in on the Galactus was smoother than mine.”

“Ah-haha,” <font color="#AE4848">a smile accompanied by a chuckle sprang from the holographic Kaine,</font> “So, I take it you never experienced premature terminus on an Allegiance then?”

“No sir,” <font color="#AE4848">Tym allowing his own smile to form,</font> “I had expected something in the form of a speed bump, nothing that great.”

“Certainly an experience one needs only once.”

“Aye sir, aye.

“Now, I’ve called in another group of Victories in on one of our safety vectors to aid with the ground assault. Once we have an acceptable and safe area of the minefield cleared, we’ll commence landing,” <font color="#AE4848">Tym ended the friendly banter and began talking business,</font> “They should be here within the exit three hours.”

“Excellent,” <font color="#AE4848">General Kaine’s expression became more grim,</font> “if we had that kind of air support at Sotel, those Rebels wouldn’t have lasted as long as they did.”

“Aye sir,” <font color="#AE4848">Tym was well aware of the Sotel Campaign, and the pivotal roll then Colonel Kaine played in it.</font>

“What is our window in between the mines?” the General inquired.

“We’re looking at an approximate 700 kilometers in between mines,” <font color="#AE4848">Tym replied, pulling up a data display that the tactical team had put together,</font> “If they’re at the standard 500 kilometer orbit, which readings indicate. But I don’t feel safe sending our men though a window that small. The mines are still unpredictable in their orbit paths. Tactical will need at least another two hours to predict courses.”

“At least you Victories will be another hour away by then,” <font color="#AE4848">the General noted,</font> “Excellent work by your men, Rear Admiral.”

“Thank you General,” <font color="#AE4848">Tym was pleased with the comment. It was not often one got to work with a man he’d learned about in his “Imperial Battle History 204” class at The Academy.</font>

“Very well Rear Admiral,” <font color="#AE4848">Kaine nodded,</font> “Anything else you consider noteworthy, by all means, keep me informed. Kaine out.”

“I will General. Jaiprenl out.” <font color="#AE4848">The holo of General Kaine faded out.

Rear Admiral Jaiprenl straightened his uniform hat before returning to the bridge. He returned to find the commodore giving out orders. Again, the Rear Admiral’s presence wasn’t noticed. The first time it was forgivable, seeing as how they were flat on their faces from the terminus bump.

But now…</font>

“ADMIRAL ON THE BRIDGE!!! Commodore Maedos, in my ready room now!

<font color="#AE4848">Again, the Commodore jumped at his booming command. Without a word, the Commodore walked by his superior, with his head hanging. The Rear Admiral looked around at his semi-shocked crew. Many who had been assigned to the Judgment since the Rear Admiral took command knew the irritation that it brought to him when his supposed executive officer never acknowledge his presence and immediately updated him and turned over full command.</font>

“Tactical, update,” <font color="#AE4848">he boomed.</font>

“Sir, we have blips on the radar screen of Rogue Imperial ships,” <font color="#AE4848">came from the crew pit.</font>

“How long have they been there? Where’d they come from?” <font color="#AE4848">the Rear Admiral was shocked. Passive sensor scans showed nothing upon entry in the system.</font>

“Unknown on both sir,” <font color="#AE4848">came the wrong answer.</font>

“Send the Group Bravo, weapons hot,” <font color="#AE4848">came the Rear Admiral quickly,</font> “Launch seventy-five percent of the fighters. From that number, assign three-quarters to aid Group Bravo and the other quarter I want to being breaking up the minefield. Have them clear a fourteen hundred kilometer area for our ships to land.”

“Aye sir.”

“Commodore Lenacie,” <font color="#AE4848">he looked to his left for the young officer, much younger than he,</font> “The Bridge is yours while I deal with Commodore Maedos.”

“Aye sir,” <font color="#AE4848">the Commodore’s face almost lit up from the rush of joy he felt.

Rear Admiral Jaiprenl turned on heel, going to deal Commodore Maedos his reassignment.</font>

Captain Gordon Sveli watched the progress of his tiny portion of the fleet with mounting impatience. The holographic projection rendering of the system was becoming more and more detaled imagery as the figher corps and sensor drones began to map every intricacy found within the system.

But as fast as the sublight engines moved his fleet, it would still lag behind the groups that penetrated toward Tognria upon entry.

The Forward Advance Group.

"Good luck, boys." he whispered as the fleet continued on leaving behind the group stopped to block the Averam Route and the Chandrilla Route.

His ships would converge on the opposite side of the system and <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> then<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> begin their penetration.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Command<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Kaine watched as Jaiprenl gave his report, giving a ghost of a smile as things were going according to plan.

He felt old.. but then, conflict wore on the body. The years of service to the Empire were not easy ones and Kaine had his own ghosts to fight.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> One fight at a time,<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> he thought as the Rear Admiral faded from view.

A hand reached up and he pulled off the cap.

He hated the things.

How anyone could fight a war in one was beyond him.

Tie Devils had picked up Silhouettes of what was presumably a defense fleet about the same time that Tym's fleet did.

Kaine realized immediately why his forces had not picked up their signatures and was amazed that the Imperial forces had not yet been spotten in return.

The enemy fleet was slowly powering up defensive measures...

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The Rogues must be going on alert because of Yaga Minor or perhaps the Grand Admiral decided to pay them a visit.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

...but the readiness was half-hearted.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> And why not? Nestled snug between the Rogue Empire's main route between Chandrilla and Averam.. why wouldn't they feel secure?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

It was that security that Kaine was using against them.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Strike where they would least expect it.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The Devils had systematically spread out and once the enemy ship data was relayed, the forward flank adjusted their rapid penetration.

"Engage." Kaine spoke softly into the encrypted comm system.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Foward Flank<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The Gunboats, Fast Attack Cruisers and Strike craft plunged ahead into the inky realms of the Rogue Empire planet, Togoria.

"Contact! Silhouettes! It looks like we are coming onto the formation of a defensive line!"

"Target nearest ships and fire!"

Contrary to popular belief, it was possible to sneak up onto an enemy if the enemy were unsuspecting and, quite honestly, most of the time because the enemy was just simpply not looking.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Security is a double edged sword.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The enemy fleet could not power up in time as the myriad of fast attack cruisers, gunboats and strike vessels opened up on them.

Hull plating was sheered, systems..weapons... sensors.. rendered inoperable on some ships.

And they couldn't even call out for help because the Empire had jammed the frequencies.

With surgical precision, the fighters dipped at a lower angle to shoot down any enemy fighters being released.

The Rogues did all they could to focus on their attackers in their valiant attempt to remain alive and rally.

"Premature Hyperspacial Terminus!"

A encrypted signal had been sent and an encrypted signal had been receved.

A small group of Victory Star Destroyers from Rear Admiral Jaiprenl's command had entered deepspace and while coming to battle readiness continued to penetrate the system.

The five VSD's also in deepspace accompanied them.

Their course was parabolic and would take them to the extreme left of the beginning conflict and then curve inward toward Togoria.

Eleven in all.

The Command Group began to move forward at a sharper left parabolic course which would enable them to support both the VSD's and the Forward Flank.

Soon, though, their course would either force the enemy fleet away from the planet or they would make their fateful stand.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> What is the better part of valor in this case?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

IF one were to draw a circle, with it's middle being Togoria, the line from the bottom (6:00 o'clock) to the middle would be the direct course of the Forward Flank. To trace the circle from the bottom to the 9:00 o'clock position would be fleet sent to block the Chandrilla Route. To trace the 6:00 oclock to the 3:00 position is to trace the Averam Route.

To draw a curve from the 6:00 oclock (bottom) to the midpoint between the 9:00 oclock and the middle was to trace the route of the VSD's.

The Command ships took a smaller arc to the midpoint between the VSD's and the Forward Flank.

If the circle represented the system, and it was divided into four equal parts, The Empire already controlled the bottom half, Kaine on the left and Tym's forces on the right quarter.

The enemy fleet was sighted and attacked on the right quarter near the middle (Togoria).

The Empire's forces would either fall on the enemy there or they would drive the enemy out of the circle at the 1:00 or 2:00 o'clock positions.

Kaine watched the three dimensional spherical hologram of the system and knowing the shrouds were there ..somewhere. He also knew the routes had been cut as the abolishers were on station and active.

Had Kaine moved in with the big Command ships and used them to set the pace, the enemy would probably have had time to mobilize.

Sending in the strike craft cut the time in half as well as the enemy's response time.

But it was not over...

OOC

I'll try to explain in a nut shell:

The thing was editted because I was adjusting my troop arrangements there, nothing more.

I am going to post my fleet manifest soon, I have what is called OOC issues.

My fleet is just around my planet...that's all.

OOC: Great news Chadd, we have OOC issues. But again, Chadd Feasons is not the Rogue Empire. You have other members that could've attended to this.

And like hell you edited the troop arrangement. In our tactical report taken on July 29th, you had 3 million soilders garrisoned in 50 ground bases, with 45 Anti-Infantry batteries, 12 missile pads, 30 Missile Pads at Degaera City, no sheilds, and 5,000 mines in orbit. Today, everything reads the same, except it list two sheilds now. Tell me again, what did you edit?

And if your ships had always been on the other side of the planet, how'd they get there? Where's the post saying that that's where they are stationed?

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Suddenly the comm chatter from all groups was cut out as a high priorirty diplomatic communique erupted from Rogue Imperial space. Where holocomms were available, the form of Fleet Admiral Dakkon Blackblade sprung up, fatigue evident on his features. Elsewhere, all they heard was his voice and as such he had to identify himself.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"This is Fleet Admiral Blackblade. As per my request earlier mourning the loss of the Emperor, i request a full cessation of hostilities.

Note that this is <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> not<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> an unconditional surrender. TRE is granting small territorial concessions to ensure the peace is maintained. Also, Jileeak will cease to function as soon as all troops leave. New Republic forces will be allowed to remain on board to ensure we donot attempt to use the station as they are neutral. As for GDI...

GDI can get the hell off my station.

As Jileeak is the cause of these problems, it will most likely be scrapped. And as such we expect no external interference if and when Rogue Imperial High command do decide to do this.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> TNO will NOT gain any access whatsoever to the station, due to the fact they intend to take it for themselves, and such a course of action i could not permit myself, as would no other sentient, to take.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

While negotiations take place, i request that all fighters return to their hangars, as shall ours, and move well out of range. As should all ships. There will be a demarciation line between our forces to ensure no further conflict erupts while negotiations are happening."

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Without further ado the comminique cut off, having completed its request.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

OOC: I am posting this on behalf of Simon Kaine

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> CIP Corps - Outside of system<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The final assault was underway, ahead of schedule when Captain Raynard of lead constrainer was called immediately to the comm station.

"Sir!.. Sir! You have to see this!"

Already advance probes were showing the beginnings of the battle over Togoria and the Sentinel II group held their collective breathe.

Never before had a faction rivaled them so, since the New Republic.

Being pulled away by an excited Lieutenant, especially in the midst of this, irritated Raynard to the point of biting back a retort to the younger officer.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> No need to take it out on the boy for doing his job, Raynard!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, his mind chided.

"What is it?" he said with a sigh, as he heard crew members cheer at what data was coming in.

A holographic projection appeared.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "This is Fleet Admiral Blackblade. As per my request earlier mourning the loss of the Emperor, i request a full cessation of hostilities.

"Sir?"

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> What in the hell?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, Raynard thought as he watched the transmission again.

"The Grand Admiral strikes at their Death Star!" he exclaimed.

The other constrainers were picking up the transmission and calling Raynard for instructions.

"Hail Hyfe! Hail Drakiss!" A collective cheer rang throughout the tiny corps of vessels.

The captain of the lead constrainer thought fast. An opportunity appeared before him and his instincts told him to seize it!

Turning to the communications officer, he asked, "Is Togoria System still being jammed?"

"Yes Sir!"

And Raynard felt at ease. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The Rogues at Togoria would not be receiving this message due to the Imperial systemwide jamming.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

A sly grin appeared on his features. He had seen his General work for too long not to have something rub off on the soldier.

"Since we control the communications," Raynard started, slowly, "...allow the message to filter through but like this..." and the Captain manipulated the comm controls to the astonishment of the Lieutenant.

"Sir! That's.. that's.."

"Admiral thinking?"

"That's the damndest trick I've ever seen.."

*

The "transmission" was allowed to filter into the system.

The Rogue Imperial Forces as well as the Imperial attacking units under Kaine and Jaiprenl's command intercepted the following:

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "This is Fleet Admiral Blackblade. Mourning the loss of the Emperor, i request a full cessation of hostilities.

This is an unconditional surrender. TRE is granting-territorial

concessions to ensure the peace is maintained. Also, Jileeak will cease to function..

As for GDI...
<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Admiral Blackblade seemed to turn furious..

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "GDI is the cause of these problems.. it will most likely be scrapped. And as such we expect no external interference if and when Rogue Imperial High command do decide to do this."<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--><!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"It seems like they are out to get GDI.. " someone on the deck of the Galactus muttered as firing between the two fleets seemed to be growing silent.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "TNO will gain any access whatsoever-

While negotiations take place, i request that all fighters return to their hangars-As should all ships ensure no further conflict."
<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Silence followed.

"What are they doing?" asked a soldier at the floating Rogue Fleet.

"Probably checking to make sure the transmission is geniunely from their Admiral." Kaine muttered.

After 40 minutes, Kaine had had enough. "Give them a few minutes more and then continue firing.."

However, the transmission was geniune and it was from Admiral Blackblade.

The Rogue Empire ships quite suddenly powered down their weapons and shields. And amid the targeting computers of the command ships of the one true Empire plotting the most devestatingly critical points to hit, the head ship of the Rogue Empire signalled a surrender.

The Empire had gained space superiority.

"Well, I'll be." someone muttered.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The attack by Hyfe and Drakiss must have been truly devestating to illicit such capitulation so quickly.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Kaine, though was not one to look a gift horse in the mouth and began immediately to issue orders to segregate and break up the Rogue Fleet.

The Rogues here were beaten. The "loss" of their Emperor, <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> whatever that loss was<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, had taken it's toll on the Rogue soldiers.

However, that was not to say there were not those hot headed soldiers that suddenly tried to break formation, ignoring the surrender of their Admiral, they truly became (in the minds of the Rogues and Imperials at Togoria), "rogue".

While the Commander of the Rogue Fleet sympathized with their defiant stand, he held onto his honor.

The Imperials held no mercy for those that proved disloyal to the word of of their Commanding Admiral, and perhaps the new leader of the Rogue Empire.

The groups traveling the cirumference had circumnavigated the system and were heading inward toward Togoria and behind the enemy fleet.

The renegade Rogue ships were easily spotted as they tried to power up and break the close formation Kaine was having them hold. They had lost precious time from the confusion of crew and officers resulting from the transmission by Admiral Blackblade.

Their defiant stand became their last as intense firing poured into those few ships quickly.

The commander of the Rogue fleet saw that he was flanked on all sides and even in his surrendered state, he acknowledged he was out played. The Rogue soldiers, Kaine saw, were blaming GDI for their capitulation.

"Commander, I want your vessels to cycle down their powercores. I want your ships adrift, locked down and quarantined."

"And my crew? Surely they will die on a "dead" ship."

"As soon as we confirm your hangers have their full inventory of fighters, we will allow the entire crews of your fleet to escape using their emergency pods. You are to head to Togoria."

Kaine read fear in the other's eyes at the helplessness of their situation.

"I give you my word that we shall not shoot them down." he said, a ghost of a smile appearing that both seemed to disarm and yet chill.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Besides, you have no choice!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, Kaine thought and the Rogues knew it.

"Sir! The Rogue cores are going cold..."

"Excellent. Let's reinforce our position and see what the rest of the Empire has faired."

As the General spoke, emergency pods were ejecting, heading for the planet.

"Maintain scans and make sure those ships are deserted."

"Let's see how Admiral Jaiprenl did with Togoria."

The leader of the 256th, turned to Sentinel II's 2nd Legion.
