[i]The news had struck him rather odd, a smugglar rarely lived a long life, but for one to die at such a young age of natural cuases, quite odd indeed. Not that it mattered to him anyways, she had been a thorn in his side from the very begining, helping his enemy as well personaly coming to him to verbally abuse him. A very uncoof woman indeed.
At least it had gotten him the oprotunity to see Cairo again. She was en route at that very moment, on her way to Reecee. She was coming to patch up the relations with IDTech that Jai had once severed, he hoped all would go well, she really was a good person, and he still had his feelings for her. If he could patch things up with her orginization it would probobaly take a load off her shoulders, and he did feel he would do anything to help her out...

"Go on up, Miss Solo. He's expecting you."
"Thank you."
Cairo strode from the receptionist desk to the lift that went up to Heir Raktus' office. This time she had come prepared for the agonizing liftride and had dosed up on motion-sickness pills beforehand. As the lift jerked to life and began its rise, Cairo smoothed down her skintight golden dress and fussed over her reflection in the gleaming durasteel doors of the lift.
She had gone totally Bormean for this meeting, a new policy she had adopted. When other people went formal on such occasions, Cairo went back to her roots. Her golden dress symbolized her royal title that she held back on Bormea, her fingernails and toenails were painted with a sparkleing, shiny polish that matched the golden hue of the dress perfectly, and her hair was up in a intricate style.
However Bormeans didn't have footwear; since the native <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Potajl<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> grass was so lush and soft that there was no need for shoes. She hoped the fact that she was barefoot didn't offend Raktus. She remember that her late sister Jaina had found it appauling, she just hoped Raktus would have a more modern outlook.
The sudden jerk of the lift stopping brought her out of her thoughts and back into her time-to-go-business mentality.

Oh that Cairo, different every time he saw her. He gazed her over rather quickly before she'd have a chance to notice. Tight dress that always acented her features in all the right areas, barefoot with such cute toes, her lovely hair flowing down her shoulders, a godess on his floor.
He steped foreward, bowing slightly at the hip towards her to intro, he then grinned, never the false business grin he gave his customers, but a genuine 'happy to see you' grin.
"Good day Ms. Cairo, and what can I do for you this time?"

Her cheeks flushed at bit at haveing Heir Raktus bow for her, and one couldn't help but blush at that grin.
"Mr. Raktus..." She inclined her head a bit in her own odd little Bormean way of a bow and smiled brightly at him.
"What can you do for me? Well...actually, it's more of 'what we can do for each other'."
From his questioning yet intrigued look for decided to continue on..."You and I both know about my family's recent tragedy. But I'm not here for sympathy, I can go to Vinda Corp and get enough condolences to last me a lifetime...what I'm here for, Mr. Raktus, is to make amends...business-wise, of course, you see."

"Ah yes..."
he spoke, gathering himself and getting into a business train of mind. He circled back behind his desk, leaning over it, offering her a seat in front of him. As she sat he sat after her.
"The matter of TSS business has been a concern hasnt it. With our last...er, mishap relations between us has been a bit strained. What was it that you proposed?"

"I was thinking along the lines of a peace treaty, anti-hostility and all. 'If I scratch your back, you scratch mine' sort of thing...you see?"
She was trying to stay as business-like as possible. Trying to keep that flirty tone out of her voice. Trying to not use any seductive glances. Trying not to show how much she liked him...she was awfully afraid that she was makeing a spectacle of herself though.

She was so cute, sitting there is the chair, trying to act business-like, which to her credit, wasnt that bad. If he wasnt so infatuated with her he might not have noticed all the subtlties of her every movement.
"I could go for that, last thing we need is for something so close to be ruined so easily..."

She blinked for a moment...her drifting thoughts had taken that the wrong way and a slight sly smirk crept onto her lips. She couldn't help it, but tried to hide it.
"Well...it's settled then? Relations between TSS and your IDTech are back to normal. I suppose going through the details of a peace treaty won't be nesscesary? I'm sure you still have our old one of file somewhere?"

"nope, never had one. Ill have my people call your people..."
He had always wanted to say that. He grinned back at her, grining from ear to ear.
"Now, with that over, may I ask, what are your plans for this evening?"

"P...pp..plans?"
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Oh no way. No way....he's not asking me out....if he? Oh wow!!! But nah...he's all business.....right? Oh wow.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
Cairo blushed and smiled softly, trying oh so hard not to stutter, a little nervous habit she had picked up from her mother.
"Um...well....nothing really. Nothing important."
