The Shards of Alderaan, or the Graveyard as many smugglers called it, was a group of asteroids created when Alderaan was destroyed. Now, the system housed a space station (carved into the largest of the asteroids) and many smaller outposts. In the space station, in one of the most popular bars, sat René Leancaster, sipping an eyeblaster. She glanced around at the inhabitants in the room: Washed-out smugglers, information dealers, New Republic officers, and common travelers.
René was none of them. She was a freelance journalist, covering the 20th anniversary of Alderaan's destruction. Being Alderaanian herself, she was most likely to get a lot for this story. So she sat and watched the people gather for the ceremony.
So she leaned back and watched for anyone interesting she could interview.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I can't believe I'm doing this...this is stupid. How did I let them talk me into this? Damn!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
Jaina Corellia Han Solo Darklighter sat sulking the in cockpit of her YT-1300. She was all decked out in her formal, cerimonial garb: Alderaanian-Princess-style blue dress, Alderaanian 'blue ice' jewlery, and Alderaanian 'blue ice' high heels shoes. She even had sheer stockings on. ...she was misrable.
Jai had been convinced to dress up like this by her older family members. She was to represent the Alderaanian heritage of her family...Jai would have rather perferred to die. It was a well known fact that Jaina couldn't ever stand her mother or most things associated with her...but since her brothers were dead & her mother was too busy, Jaina was the only one left to go.
So here she was, flying into the GraveYard. Jai scoffed at it with disgust. She landed her YT-1300, the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Millennium Jade Falcon<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, on the main 'rock' and headed off into the most popular place, the "Graveyard Shard", takeing a seat at the bar...

Something sparked in René's mind's eye. The dark hair and square chin of a Solo, and the liquid brown eyes and charming nose of an Organa. Since both of the other Solo heirs were dead, this had to be Jaina Solo.
René smiled at her good fortune and slipped out of the booth, making sure no one got any ideas to take her seat by leaving her not-yet-emptied drink. After making sure her red-brown hair was in order, she straightened her white, Alderaanian stlye gown and walked up to the table. "Miss Solo? Uh, Jaina?" she asked, not sure how to approach such a celebrity. "May I have a word, please?"

The lights from the "Graveyard Shard" glared on the front of Xyron Jadak's ship as it landed on a small landing space. His small 2 passenger ship looked like a really modified Z-95 HeadHunter. The top hatch came open as he stepped down the ladder to the ground. He looked around the traffic of people in front him as he loosened up his blaster just incase. He looked into the sky for a moment as he breathed in the thin air that was placeed throughout the surface of the astroid.
"What is Jaina Solo doing in a place like this?" He always wondered something about his missions, his commanders told him only the things he needed to know that would be useful for his work, only if he ever got a promotion to a higher level would he be abe to get into all the details. He was the top of his rank, but still not able to proceed to the next. He shook his head in despair for a moment as he took one last glance around himself. He walked over towards the Shard and stepped inside building.
The place was fairly crowded, and he scanned the area for any possible gangsters or hunters. He stepped over towards a table and took a seat. The chair was uncomftorable, but he was used to that feeling. He looked to his right and noticed Jaina standing there. She was talking to a very beautiful woman. He had seen many beautiful women in his life but this one captured him in a way that made him feel...He didn't know, but he enjoyed the feeling, he enjoyed her smile, her gestures, everything about her. He forced himself to look away as he realized someone might spot him looking towards Jaina Solo, and suspect him as being a New Rep Agent or Guard. That's if anyone even recognized her, but he had no doubt that someone in here had. He knew she could take care of herself mostly since she was a Jedi. He was basically back up for an attack she didn't see coming, or a large ambush. He was very skilled, but he started doubting himself as he looked again at the woman Jaina was talking to, he couldn't even control where he looked, he stared at her, awed by her beauty and persona.

Jai glanced up at the young woman. "You may." She motioned for the woman to sit. "And...the name's Jai.", she said with the inherited smirk of her father.
Jai noticed a familar face, Theseus, looking her way...mostly drooling over the young woman she was talking to than anything else.
"So, how may I help you, Miss?"

René pulled out her credentials and gave them to Jaina, all the while tracing her visage towards the young man. With a quick intake of breath, she blushed and looked away. "I'm a reporter. I was wondering if you had anything to say about the destruction of Alderaan. And please let me offer you my condolences over the deaths of your brothers." She looked over at the man again, this time making eye contact. He was attractive enough, but she had never seen him before. He looked military or intelligence related. She smiled lightly before turning back to the young woman.

"Hmm...All I have to say about Alderaan is it was a great loss. A wonderous planet was destroyed, yes...but the people and culture live on. That is out solace." Jai could be refined when she wanted to be.
She smiled and handed the reporter back her datapad of credentials, "And, as for my brothers, they died honorably...no condolences are in order. But thank you."

Xyron's heart jumped when he noticed that she looked back at him. He raised a brow and looked back to the surface of the table in front of him. He ordered some Juri Juice and brought it back to the table. He took his seat once more and looked around the residense for any one that might be giving some glances over at Jaina. He wrapped his fingers around the but of his blaster ready to draw when a man was walking straight towards her. The man ended up passing them though and Xyron released his grip on the blaster.
He took a gulp of juri juice and took another glance at this woman that was engaged in convorsation with Jaina. He wondered what they were talking about, but he knew it was none of his buisness. He waited for something to happen, if anything did that is, he caught himself staring again at the woman and he shook his head. "I have to stop looking over there so much," he told himself silently. He knew he was dangering Jaina and himself by doing so, he forced himself to look into his near empty glass of Juri Juice.

Jai's slight Jedi sences picked up on something as the reporter took the credential-card back. A reflection of the door could be seen in her eyes, and what Jai saw, she didn't like...
A tall Datooinian strolled in, an old rival of Jai's, Garren Gankloy by name. She had heard he was in the neighborhood, seeing as he was half-Alderaanian, like herself...but she didn't plan on running into him. Then she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Jaya Solo-Darklighter...well well, Beautiful. We meet agian."
"Get your paw off of me, Garren...and don't call me Jaya."
"Calm down, Solo. I mean you no harm...for the moment."
"And you expect me to believe that?"
"...No."
Within the amount of time it takes to blink an eye, the two smugglers had blasters to each other head. Jai smirked wildly, "You still got it, Gankloy."
"As do you, Solo...but not for long. Yah!" The man lunged and Jai fired. She missed as the man knocked her down, makeing them fall and tumble across the floor.

Xyron had little time to react as the man walked up quite quickly and now that they both had blasters to eachother's heads, he knew he couldn't come in now.
Jai fired as they both tumbled to the floor. He noticed some movement to his left as a man drew his blaster and aimed toward the tumbling pair. Xyron jumped from his seat and punched the Rodian in the face making his shot go wide.
He took the blaster from the rodians hands and kicked him in the stomach. The Rodian fell to the ground unconcious. He looked over his shoulder to see if Jai was alright, he looked up at the reporter to see if she was okay as well. Jai and the other man which he couldn't make out got up from the floor.
