OOC: This is going to be a story of my charater's life style. Anyone is free to join along. I have done RPs before but this is my first Star Wars/sci-fi one. I usually do fantasy/medieval. If I make any mistakes feel free to point them out. If you want to know more about my character go to my profile and check out my personal link.

IC: Gleed's eyes dozed at the controls of The Baron. The sight of the control panel's lights was a headach. It'd been over a week now that the convoy had been traveling across the galaxy. This wasn't the first time he'd done this sort of job. Many times had flying through space been reluctant to end. For him though, in some cases he did get a little action which not only raised the pay but gave him something to do. The R7 droid chirped behind him which kept him awake. The R7 was probably doing a routine check up on the ships condition. Gleed did really care. His mind was stale. He figured after he got paied for this he could settle down and do a little gambling back on Tattoine or someplace to ease his mind.

One of the other mercenary escorts flew to his right wing side. The mercenary looked over at Gleed and spoke on the comlink.

"Stay awake over there bud. The con'vy going back into hyperspace again, now that their problem's fixed. Guess it wasn't majoy..din't take em long."

Gleed returned the glance through his cockpit window. He could barly see the human in the other vehicle. Gleed was unaware of a problem, but what does it matter right? Gleed gave a slow nod to the human and the man sped his ship forward to warn/tell the others. Moments later the convoy ships hit there engines and were off. Gleed sighed and jetted into space after them. Traveling through hyperspace was not liked by Gleed. There was little control you had. Gleed turned his head backwards, "R7, Get a lock on the convoy and set a lock on it with the auto pilot. I'm getting some rest."

The R7 unit beeped a few times and silenced itself. Gleed released his cupped hands from the controls and reclined his chair. He then quickly fell asleep. After a good while the R7 droid began churping again and woke Gleed. "What is it?" he grumbled to the pesky droid. The ship dropped out of lightspeed and back above one of the larger crafts. A blue planet could be seen just below then. Another voice came on the comlink. This time it was the head of the convoy, A human, one whose only known name to Gleed was Sir.

"We are preparing to land. Follow in behind. Once on the ground, you all will get your pay. I thank you for your cooperation."

"R7 I'll take over now"

The droid released its control over The Baron and Gleed was back in manual control again.

Once landing Gleed climed off the ship and hopped to the ground. He stretched his limbs and immediately appraoched the captian as the other escorts did. Gleed disliked this planet already. It was surrounded in water and he didn't like the look of the inhabitants. The captian stood before the six mercenaries and smiled.

"Thank you for your services. Here is your pay. Your welcome to stay here or leave."

Gleed took the money and counted it. A reasonable amount. Gleed cleared his throat.

"Excuse me, do you cover fuel?"

"No, That wasn't in the agreement."

Knowing that the pay wouldn't go far. Most of it now would go to refueling. Gleed grumbled clenched his fist. He wished to reach for his blaser and blow him away, but there were to many guards stading around. Besides it would hurt his reputation. A mercenary killing his employer after being paied. Now who would want to hire him then? Gleed paied for the fueling and while that was being done he wandered to the catina to get a drink and relax. The thought of going back into the pilot seat again troubled him.

Gleed sat at a table near the entrance. He waited impatiently for his drink and meal. He kept a close eye on the occupants of the cantina. The majority of the people there including the bartender were Quarren. Squid-heads as known by Gleed. Oh how he hated the race. They were weak and strange. He could endure it though, he'd been in worse. Finally his order arrived. He instanly began feasting on the strong gin and tender meat that was served. It was a true feast as compared to what he'd been eating on The Baron the past few weeks. When your on a ship the consumables are limited and must be used sparingly. He had a bit of trouble using their utensils with his fingers but his hunger made due.

As he savored every bit and he began to wonder what now. Another job done and his pocket is fairly full again, so it's about time to meet some old friends. Tatooine was a good place for that. He knew of a place called <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The Luckly Despot<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> run by one Lady Valaraian. He'd been there before inbetween his visits to Jabba. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The Lucky Despot<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> was a good club but Lady Valarian was always watching Jabba and doing her own personal buisness there, so Gleed ignored the place for the most part. Now with Jabba out of the way, and Tatooine all to her, he decided to check it out.

With a destination on kind he quickly finished his meal, payed and procceded to his ship. The droids had finished and R7 was waiting next to The Baron. Gleed walked over and waved to the droid mechanics and tapped on what would be R7 shoulder. He hoisted the astromech droid into the back area and Gleed himself hopped into the cockpit.

"R7, Bring up a map of where we are."

The small droid beeped and a holograpic showed the system they were in. Gleed found the Tatooine system and set a course for Tatooine-Mos Eisley Spaceport. The window shield lowered and the small e-wing jettisoned out of the planets atomsphere and back into hyperspace to the backward planet of Tatooine. During the trip Gleed had his mind pondering if Lady Valarian was even still alive or had one of her underlings betrayed her. And if she was still alive would she remember him. Soon his ship entered the gravitational pull of Tatooine. He then landed on the twin sun planet and handed over his ship to a couple human guards to watch over it and fight away the Jawas.

Gleed cruised through the streets of Mos Eisley. He took in a deep breath of the air. It smelt like villany and scum. The way he liked it. He then stood infront of the old cargo ship which was <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The Lucky Despot<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->. He entered and it indeed was far cleaner and better presented since his last visit. He walked to the counter and leaned over the counter looked into the back rooms. He caught the eye of a female Whipid who was taking to a bellboy. The Whipid walked over to the counter and greeted the Rodian.

"Hello, Welcome to The Lucky Despot Hotel and Casino. You may rent a room, or visit the cafe if you wish but the casino won't be open till later tonight."

Gleed grinned and gazed into her eyes. He then remembered why he risked stopping here every once and awhile when staying at Jabba's Palace was much more profitable. Lady Valarian was the reason. She was, as him a hunter by blood. She was cunning and strong. Much more derserving respect than that bloated hutt.

"Leave it to a filthy Whipid to forget a customer!"

Shock hit her eyes. She couldn't believe someone whould insult her so openly. She looked harder at him. She swiftly grapped a blaster from behind the counter and raised it to Gleed's head. "Leave it to a Rodian to insult an armed Whipid."
Gleed gulped and now doubted she remembered him. She then spoke up again, "Nervous as always Gleed? Your the last I expected to come back here after Jabba's death. It pleases me to see you again." She lowered the weapon.

"It pleases you to have anyone come here and lose money in your casino Lady Valarian. I like the remodeling. And yes, I have come for your casino, but not to lose. It's time the old bird out there got a tune up."

"Well, enjoy your stay. I must attend to a bit of buisness before the casino opens." Lady Valarian turned away and disappeared into the back rooms.

"Busy as always, my lady." Gleed mumbled to himself and he wandered off into the hotels lounge/cafe area. He wondered who he would find there.

Gleed entered The Lucky Despot's Cafe Lounge area. It was well decortated. A spacious room connected to the lobby and a convenient meeting place. Two couches and two relciner chairs filled the center area and around it small tables were dotted about. The bar was against the wall on the far end with tables linked to it.

Gleed was a bit hungry due to the hyperspace trip. The jump always left him with a bit of hunger. He first scanned the room for anyone he knew. Most of the place was empty but at the bar another Rodian sat drinking some fine sullistian gin. Gleed gave a harder look at the Rodian who was slightly over weight and had his head turned. The Rodian had quite a few empty shot glasses of sullistan gin near him, which instantly gave away his identity. Gleed knew no other man who drank so much alcohol at mid-day. Gleed pulled up a seat next to the Rodian. Gleed ordered a small platter of ikopi ribs and a glass of strong tea. With the sound of his voice the other Rodian looked over.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Gleed?"<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"Rendo, been awhile, I'm suprised you reconized me."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "I never forget a friend and a partner in buisness."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed recieved his order and with his fingers, lifted the stiff meat and tore apart half the meat from the bone with his teeth and swallowed with little chewing. He sipped his tea and sighed.

"Still do much buisness here?"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Not much, I've been working with others around the galaxy. Ya know, in much more pleasent places than this desert wasteland. Though there is something I've been following here the past few months. It's become quite popular. Your type of gambling. If you stop by the casino tonight, find me."<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> Rendo stood up from his seat.

"I'll be there."

Rendo left and Gleed continued on his ikopi ribs. He soon finished and left The Lucky Despot to go wander Mos Eisley for the rest of the day untill the casino opened.

:::::::time interval; approximately five hours:::::::

Gleed stepped into the casino building. The cool air from inside hit him on the face and relieved his sun bitten skin. The suns on Tatooine don't even let your sweat leave your cheeks. Gleed passed the bouncer and entered the main lobby. Lady Valarian was near a couple other Whiphids but she took the time to greet Gleed. She offered a tour but Gleed naturally refused. He easily found his way around a casino.

It was busy tonight as always. The slots and tables filled with smugglers, gamblers, mercenarys and maybe even a few bounty hunters. All with their own buisness. Some gathering information, some looking for jobs, and while others just having fun. Gleed sat down at a card table and joined in a simple game of cards. He placed a few chips down and played a couple rounds winning almost double his original chips. He nodded to the dealer and slid his chips in his pocket where later he could cash them in for credits. As he approached the bar for a drink he bumped into Rendo who was surrounded by several gamblers and had a Twi'lek dancer in each arm. Gleed stopped at Rendo and chatted with the group of two more Rodians, a Nikto, a jawa and the dancers. After a couple hours Rendo guided the group outside the casino where a landspeeder awaited them.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Come on Gleed, Your going to love this."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed followed them on the speeder and they soon stopped outside the boundries of Mos Eisley. Rendo had an enormous grin on his face while the group sat under the starlit sky for a few moments when five other speeders joined them from behind. A few people rode up from the east and west on dewback mounts.

"What's going on?"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Dewback jousting. It has become more popular by the day. Trust me on who to bet for and you'll be richer than Lady Valarian herself!"<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed smiled and joined the crowd as the gathered to the side of the arena. Inbetween the two lines of crowd a person on dewback waited with a long vibro-lance in hand. Gleed had his bet on a weequay that Rendo suggested. The fight then began. The weequay's dewback seemed a bit slower then the humans who he fought, but as they met in the center the weequay jabbed his vibro-lance straight into the humans torso sending him into the dirt. Gleed threw his hands up in celebration and shook Rendo's hand. Gleed kept his bet on the weequay all night. Opponent after opponet fell until there were no more. Gleed had won enough credits to buy a whole new ship!

The group rode back to the casino to celebrate. Shot after shot of sullistan gin Gleed consumed until all went black. Gleed awoke the next morning on the floor of Rendo's apartment. His eyes were heavy and he had a strange pain in his chest. He also had an extreme headach. He couldn't remember anything from the night before. His stumbled to his feet and scrathed his head. He moaned his pain and laid back on Rendo's sofa and fell back asleep.

He reawakened at noon. He woke to find Rendo sitting at his dining table drinking something. Gleed sat up straight and groaned.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Tough night you had. Heh."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed somehow could wonder why he laughed. He didn't find his condition funny. "What happened?"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Not enough time to talk, I got some stuff to do. Sorry about your credits. You were pretty drunk last night. Its a shame. You should go get some breakfast. You might feel better then."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed shuffled out of the room and used Rendo's old speederbike to ride to the Mos Esiley cantina for come breakfast(or lunch considering the time of day.)

OOC: I am going to keep moving on in the story. If you are willing to join this will be the place for mercenary, smugglers, bounty hunters, ect.. to join in .Just incase anyone was wondering this isn't going to be a long story.

IC: Gleed staggred into the Cantina, to most popular of Mos Esiley. The place was already filled with criminals and scum. Gleed ordered a couple pastries at the counter. He ate there for the seats were filled. He shook the sleeplyness out of his eyes and leaned against the bar stool. He didn't know what to do with himself now. Maybe go back to the casino and find something to occupy his mind for the time being? As he neared the door a man called out from the table next to Gleed.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Are you Gleed?"<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"Maybe. Depends."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Ay, it tis you. Excuse my suddenness but I was advised to seek you. I have a buisness proposition. I hope your up to it."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed turned and sat next to the short man.

"Speak on."

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "I am glad you accept. You can call me Gerin. My proposal is to buy your services for a a slight problem I am having with a rival business man. You see we both run small moisture farming companies and his profits are exceeded ours. I meerly wish for you raid and destory a major factory of his. I hope you don't mind working with others. There are a few others that have already accepted the job."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"Sounds easy enough. When?"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Meet me outside the Cantina when the two suns set. There the others will be. Thank you."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed shook the mans hand and walked out of the cantina. He rode back to Rendo's apartment to get some more rest before tonight. Gleed awoke and peered outside Rendo's window. The second sun was halfway past the horizon. He looked for Rendo is the rather large five room apartment but he was still out for buisness. Gleed holstered his blaster, and hopped on the speederbike and cruised back to the cantina. There he saw a rather large group of villany waiting to be briefed further.

OOC: Here is where other mercs, bh's and other scum can join. You'll be here with the group and we'll be sent off. I will wait a couple days and if none post than I will go on by myself.

OOC: Will be gone for two weeks on vacation...

IC: Gleed dismounted from the speedbike and joined the group of five pilots including himself. It consisited of two dug brothers, a Corilian and some common thug behind a mask. They said little between each other. All awaiting further instruction. With a short wait the man Gerin arrived from the south and greeted the mercenaries. He then started the explaintion that he knew was wanted. But this time when he spoke his voice was shaky and sounded concerned. Naturally Gleed picked up on this but paid little heed.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Ah, friends and associates. I will make this plain and quick for you all. I need you to simply raid a moisture farm complex for me. Destroy it all, I do not care, all I need you to do it destroy the main factory structure. I will upload the cordinates to each of your crafts. Any questions? Oh and meet me back here in when your finished for your pay."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The taller of the two dugs spoke up, speaking in basic, though he wasn't very good at it. "Yes, why so many for such a simple job?"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "There may be a few anti-air turrets and forces to deal with. Nothing more."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The dug nodded and stepped back and spoke to his brother, which seemed as he was translating. Gleed sighed and used the bike to get to The Baron. The other thugs did the same. At his ship, Gleed powered the engines that had been sitting in the sun for two days. He cooled the engines that were heated from the Tattoine suns. He had the R-7 make sure no over heating occured then lifted off and sailed out of Mos Esiley to meet his wingmates. Gerin had previously set their cordinates so the auto-pilot took care of the journey. As they neared, they all set to manual control and paired with a wing guard.

The dug brothers in thier H-LAF500 and LAF250 paired, Gleed took the right wing of the masked ones B-WING with his E-WING. The Corilian sped ahead to lead the first run. He then came on the comlink-

"Alright he should arrive in five minutes. Stick close and look for the main facility...Wait...whats that....?"

before he could finish his sentence his ship burst into flames as his ship collided with a missle from an opposing craft. Soon seven Miy'til fighter jets zoomed past the groups' craft. Gleed slammed on his brake lever and with all his effort tried to curve the ship around to aviod being tailed. He then shouted on the com-

"What! He said <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> ground<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> defences and that we came unnoticed! Why are there patrol craft?!"

The dugs split their formation to route the pursuing fighters. Gleed slammed his thrusters to evade the enemy craft. He then shouted to his wing mate, darksaber to do flank their blank side while they persue him. Gleed shot out to the side and three fighters picked up his trail. As he kept the chase he flew right over the moisture complex, which he then faced heavy turret fire. Countless blaster shots hit him. Most of it absorbed by his shield.

"R-7, forget the repairing and focess on making this baby a little more agile. I don't need to worry much about those turrets-I'll stay out of their range and Miy'til fighters blaster won't do much...if I can out manuver them"

Gleed did a complete rotation in the sky and flew head on the three fighters. Two of them broke formation to aviod The Baron's blasters but one stubborn one stayed on his. Gleed gave two taps to the fire control and pierced the small fighters left wing. The craft spun out of control and was blown away by on of the dug brothers who was making a pass. Though the move probably save him from several nasty hits but the brakes took damage from the fast jam.

"Fix it R-7 and be quick about it. There's still two of em, back there."

Gleed passed over the complex again, looking for the main building. He could but wonder how could they have set up the turrets so fast. They couldn't have just been sitting there. and what with the fighters? unlucky patrol craft? couldn't be..seven ships? this much resistant so soon? can't. The possibility of betrayal crossed his mind. He would have a word with..Gerin if he survived...

: DarkSaber smirked at the petty fighters that provided the farm's protection. Arming his lasers; he came about hard... something the enemy pilots weren't expecting from a B-wing, and fired. The lead ship was shreaded instantly by the B-wing's heavy lasers. The second fell from the sky as a blast shattered its cockpit and killed the pilot. :

Fools. They do not know the first thing about atmospheric combat.

: Taking his ship in low, he watched a fighter follow. When he pulled up, the enemy reaslized his error. The Hapan ship slammed into a vaporizer. It hit the sand, rolled once, and burst into flame. :

: DarkSaber smirked as he came level with the farm's main hut. His twin missiles blew one wall out, shaking the structure. The roof caved in. By the time the dust settled, the B-wing had already gone off in seach of a different target. :

OOC: I back, and had a good time ;p

IC: Gleed spun to a full ninety degree spin and tapped his ion cannon control. Two light blue balls slammed into a dome shapped building. The balls of light hit the dome's edge and flashed then surrounded the building in a liquid blue bubble. The facilities shield crashed and Gleed rammed a homing torpedo down the center off the building, causing a large explosion. The shock wave of the explosion rattled The Baron. Gleed stablized the ship and curved to the right. He picked up the trail of one of the My'til fighters and shot it down with severl blasts with his fire-linked triple blasters.

Gleed pulled away from the complexes perimeter and watched the dug brothers napalm the remaining of the buildings. The whole area was left in smoke. Gleed pulled out and the rest followed. The dug brothers began mumbling on the comlink, Gleed muted his and consentrated on flying back to Mos Eilsey to have a small chat with Gerin.

Withen moments they'd landed back at Mos Eisley spaceport. There they proceeded to the Cantina for their pay. At the cantina the group were left to see the courpse of Gerin outside the cantina door. Two droids were dragging him away and cleaning the laser holes and slattered blood. Gleed stepped forward, blaster out.

"What happened?"

The droid chirped and turned to the Rodian, <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Not to tell, only clean.""<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> Gleed pushed aside the droid turned to the other dazed and dissapointed mercenaries.

"This is not of coincidence, that he is dead. I would care less is you listen to me, but I'd like to meet with you all tomorrow night at The Lucky Despot casino."

Gleed turned and made his way to The Lucky Despot. When he entered Lady Valarian was already in the lobby, talking with other creatures. Gleed pulled her aside.

"I'd like to ask you of a favor.."

Slightly confused she nodded.

"Yesterday, I came to your casino. What did I do?"

She scratched his tusk and sighed.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Lets see, you left with that Rendo fellow then when you came back you all partied..."<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> she paused <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Right, thats went you pissed off Bradoc and you two started fighting, till he pulled a blaster on you and luckly your buddy Rendo saved your ass by pulling out his own gun. Why? He already paied for the disturbance, there no need to say or do more."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Gleed walked away and shook his head. He then muttered to himself.

OOC: weird post, sorry but I am a bit tired and don't know what to post. I am kinda lost on how to continue this, but I'll work with it.

OOC: Eh, I don't know what to do. I messed up by starting this thread. I should have thought through things better. I am going to end this madness now. Sorry Codename for wasting your time and who ever actually looked at this thread.

IC: Gleed sulked back to the apartment complex were Rendo owned his own little villa. It was late and the little incounter back out there in the desert had him worn. He wondered if Rendo would be asleep still or even home. He climbed the stairs and lazly open the door.

To his startlement Rendo was down on his knees at point to a Bothans e-11. The Bothan turned his head and smiled. Before Gleed could analize the situtation Rendo's skull was shattered over the roon with one click from the Bothan's paw.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> "Well, Hello Gleed. We were just talking about you. You don't reconize me? well I would assume so since at our last meeting you were intoxicated with Sullistan gin. My name is Bradoc. I believe you have caused me a bit of trouble. It's too bad Gerin failed to have you killed. Pitty, now I must waste my time and do it myself. Ohwell, only better for the reputation I carry."<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Bradoc raised his blaster and fired, but only to late for Gleed had dodged to the side only allowing the shot to graze his shoulder. Gleed snatched his blaster from his holster and fired two shots. The first missing the the other hit the Bothan directly in the chest, knocking him back into the sofa. Gleed stood up and sighed. He whispered a prayer in Rodese and left the room. He decided Rendo wouldn't need his speeder any more so Gleed took it and rode off to the spaceport where he he entered The Baron and jumped out of Tatooine.

He set his pilot to the Delph system.
