For the third time that day Corvin slammed his fist down upon the table in front of him.
" I don't care what you say Ravern, this is an archaeological find of the century. Who knows what ramifications this could have on the Jedi ramblings. For everything they say about galactic peace and such, this can change everything. I just wish we could access it or whatever it is you do with these things."
"How many times Corv, it's a piece of junk."
"A piece of junk?!?!? A piece of bloody junk?!? If it's so worthless then why the hell was it so hard to get to? huh? Or surrounded by such other treasures? Explain that one Rave." A smug look covered Corvin's face as he watched his long time friend puzzle over it all.
"Well...there's probably millions of reasons...anyway what does it matter to me, huh? I've got other things to puzzle over, like how the hell we even get back to Coruscant from here, " replied Ravern, an unusually tall Gran, he stretched out his hand and spun left so that he was facing north. With a small smile on his lips he said, " I think it's somewhere in that direction."
"Oh ha ha, go fiddle around with your machines then, though you'll be missing out on some real treats," Ravern headed through the door toward the cockpit of the small ship the two of them were sharing, chuckling to himself in amusement, Corvin shouted out after him, "Just so you know, it'll be my name on all the history records!!!"
Leaning back in his chair, Corvin removed his glasses from his face and rubbed his hands against his eyes. Sheer exhaustion seemed to be taking its toll on Corvin. How many hours had it been since he'd last slept? Forty-eight? Fifty? Like it really mattered, he'd gone longer without sleep before, this time wouldn't harm him he figured. And in any case, sleep would have to wait, it was time he got down to analyzing this artifact.

"Personal Analysis: Corvin Des, Chief Archaeologist aboard Eagle's Eye.
During a routine survey in the unknown regions of space we came across a temple of unknown origins. Full recording on PP497E, logged under my name. beginning first analysis of artifact 7789421W.
The artifact is triangular in shape. Most of its surface area is black, though inactive red lights periodically cover different areas.
Currently still waiting on Carbon test results though from observational study it appears that the object is at least a few thousand years old, this is also based on an analysis of where the object was found.
Despite along time in its resting place, aside from some small amounts of dust, the surface appears to have suffered no corrosive damage. No saying for what the inside is like as there appears to be no entry. Not very surprising really.
The area in which the artifact was discovered was covered from top to bottom with a number of hieroglyphics. Though they are of no language with which I am familiar they do seem to bare a certain resemblance to the few artifacts that survived the Imperial purge and where briefly put on display. Though I cannot translate much it seems to talk of great power and I am fairly sure that some of the carvings mention of the force and a deep hatred to Jedi. Of course I should make it clear that at this point this is still speculation and theories, none of which I can yet confirm.
Upon inspecting rims that tier the surface I have noticed more than several grains of sand. This is unaccountable for when considering that the artifact was found in a jungle area containing no sand patches what so ever.
Personal analysis will continue after carbon dating.

Three hours sleep was all Corvin could muster. Wiping the sleep from his eyes, Corvin stalked his way into the cockpit where Ravern was sat staring at some navigational charts.
"Have we reached the known regions of space again?" Corvin asked?
"Yeah about an hour ago, why'd you ask?" Came the reply.
"Thought I'd send my preliminary analysis on ahead of us, that way I can see what the others make of it. Which route would be easiest to transmit along?"
"Well, you would probably be best to send it along the alpha route, I don't know much about the planets it passes, they seem to be uninhabited."
"Cheers Rave." Spinning his chair round Corvin began to fiddle about with the different instruments. Placing his voice recording into the designated slot he began the transmission of his data.
