Theed

Shadow Jedi Knight Dark Emerald Jade, Governess of Dameo, Empress of Kaga, nicknamed Shadow of the Dawn, walks around the darkened streets of Theed, all the shops closing up for the night. She had come here to do a bit of shopping, since she had been feeling depressed again lately, and she had dragged Heir Raktus along with her.

"Come on, Jade, are you finished yet? These bags weigh a god dang ton. And the stores are closing for the night." Raktus had been saying.

"Yes, love, I am finished now. Let's go." Jadey had said.

They turn around to go back to Jadey's ship, her YT-1300 named Jade's Dragon when suddenly she was hit square in the chest by an invisible force.

Switching to Soul Sight, Jadey can see the spirit that attacked her. Pulling out her katana Whisper and its matching shorter blade Scream, Jadey expertly fights agaist this being who obviously wants her dead. Slashing with katana, she opens a cut on its arm when she is shot with a dart. She then chops the things head off, then banishes its soul. She sheathes her swords and pulls the dart out of her neck, turning to Raktus.

"Ouch, damned idiot was sent to kill me. Someone from Kaga wants me dead, so they can claim my throne. I'll be damned if they...."

She stops talking as she drops to her knees, then falls forwards after that. It was obvious to them now that the dart she was hit with was poisonous. And whoever wanted her dead knew what being she was to make the posion effective.

"Raktus......med bay.....now." She barely whispers.

After a while of flying in her ship, Raktus picks her up again and runs into the med bay with her in his arms. The doctors there examine her and do all they can for her at the moment.

As they do that, she gathers up all her strength to send out a telepathic message to 2 people who should be here with her.

Dodge Rasson, Tobal Hadul. Please come to the Med Bay in Theed. My body is in terrible danger, and I need your help to help me out of this. Please Come! And Hurry!

((I'm invited to the thread--For those who don't know))

Days before.. Dodge rests soundly. From the outside, many assassins sit outside his room, ready to pounce. And yet, he sleeps soundly. The door creeps open... And Through Dodges' Dream he sees exactly what will happen to Jade. Mystic connection, who the hell knows why, she's an old friend. He wakes suddenly, as he spots the figure in the door form the corner of his eye. Three knives sitting atop a dresser suddenly fly at him, each impaling it self deeply into vital parts of the human bosy.. Head, Neck, and Solar Plexus.. Not like he'd need the latter two, after the first.

Shadow move about, and his eyes narrow.. He has no time for this, he needs to get to Jade -- He knows where she is, he keeps in contact. He runs from the room, topless still, running across the city streets as the night-buisnesses stare at him funny. He speaks cooly, to a small device around his wrist, as his ship appears in the middle of town square (Cloak-Shape Model 3). He jumps in, and immediatly it begins to take off. Police and Assassins left behind in the dust.

He sets a course for Theed, and the ship heads for it A.S.A.P.

Days later he comes upon the planet.

"Who are you!? What do you want!?" Cries the commander from the station controlling defences.

Dodge continues to fly towards the docking bay, his ship vnaishs from radar, as well as sight. It lands, and he quickly emerges. He calls upon the force, as his acctions become speeded up.. He heads towards Jade, feeling her presence as a vergence in the force. Guards try to stop him, but are only thrown to the side, quicker then they expected. He stops. And looks down a few halls... "A Large MedBay." He thinks to himself before running straight.

"Whe in doubt.. Go Straight." He says to himself, Burting through the door at the end of the hall.

"JADE!"

(OOC: *Shows Invite*)

Tobal was attempting to purchase a large swath of cloth from a vender on this store in the sky when he felt Master Jade’s cry for help. It was so loud, so clear, and expressed such an urgent request for help that he almost dropped the pile of credits he was attempting to get the vender to accept.

He instinctively looked about, trying to see from which direction Master Jade was calling. Messages conveyed through the force were a new idea to him, something he still did not understand.

“Look you bone headed moron, twenty credits will not cover the cost of this cloth! Are you going to give me more, or should I have him through you out?”

Tobal looked distractedly toward the large man the vendor had pointed to. He was built like a bull, and was most likely not human.

“I go, keep your expensive cloth.”

Tobal walked swiftly out of the small store, and out onto a walkway which wrapped total around this tall Iron building. Jutting straight out of the ground, the building rose smoothly straight up into the air. It was surrounded by a screw like walkway, which wrapped around the building all the way to the top.

Floating vehicles zipped to, and from the building, moving on to other similarly constructed spires. Tobal had no idea where he was headed; he only knew that he shouldn’t have left Master Jade. Whoever that Raktus is, he certainly cannot defend people. Another horrible thought came to mind as Tobal rand down the circular walkway. What could have injured her so that she needed help… what can I do to help if Master Jade is hurt badly…

Whatever the consequences, Tobal went. Jade was teaching him, and for that he was grateful.

Feeling the presense of her old friend, Dodge Rasson, burst into the Med Bay, Jadey can also feel the prsense of her appretince, Tobal Hadul, coming closer, but slowly as he finds his way.

Laying unconscious on her bed, Jadey telepathically speaks to Dodge, so only he can hear.

Dodge, old friend, I am glad to know you have come when I called. With all those assassins I sensed around you, I was not sure you would make it. I had faith that you would come.

Now, on to the real reason why I have summoned you. As you can see, my body is dying, having been poisoned. Im not sure if I can get out of this......state......Im, or how long it will take if I can. Please, I need you and Raktus and even Tobal here as I do.

The doctor comes by to change Jadey's IV, and to check her again.

Dodge: "Is she alright? Will she be alright?"

Raktus: "Is this permanent? What has happened to her?"

Doctor: "She has been poisoned, by what, I do not know. She is heavily sedated right now, and we are giving her pain medication, as well as fluids to keep her hydrated. We have also taken blood work to determine what it is, and how to cure it. Right now, we are doing all we can for her. After that, it is up to the Empress on how fast she recovers, if she recovers at all."

The doctor waits for anymore questions, but hears none being asked, excuses himself to check Jadey again as her heart rate drops a bit, then leaves to notify the night doctors.

He gripped her hand softly in his own, he felt her attentions focused on the unknown man to his side, but he didnt care. His fingers tightened in her touch. He had lost so many things up to this point, past loves, empires...

"I wont lose you..." He whispered gently, mostly to himself

He stood, spining on his heel to face the other two men. A grimace crossed his face, obvious emotion etched into him. These two, he didnt know them. The shadey one looked familiar, but he really couldnt care less.

"I dont know either of you, nor does that matter right now. I have a feeling one of you knows whats going on here, but Im certain of at least one thing. One of you is going to solve this, and I mean like yesterday"

Still using the Force, her only means of communication at this point, turns her words to her love, Heir Raktus.

Raktus, sweetie, take it easy on them. I asked them to join us. I need them here as much as I need you here.

The dark one that came bursting in first is Dodge Rasson, a very old friend of mine. He has always helped me when I needed it, as I have helped him when he needed it. If any of you can help, it may be him.

The quiet one that just came in is my apprentice, Tobal Hadul. I only had one training session with him, and that was after he had woken me up sometime before sunrise. Anyways, his faith that I well recover will also help me find strength to fight this, as does your faith, and love, Raktus.

Please, do not be upset with them. They are only here to help.

Dodge simply smirks at Raktus. He's glad his aimless run doesn the sitraight hall brought him to the right room -- Really, it was all a chance of luck.

He loses the smirks from his face, and walks around the bed Jade lays on. He remains silent for the most part, checking all the vitals. He grabs the IV bag and looks through it, as his eyes narrow. He nods with slight sadisfaction then looks at the other two.

His hands find their ways to the side of the bed, and he leans forward, looking down to Jade momentarily, then back up.

"Gentlemen." He begins slowly, "To be quite frank.. And knowing Jade well, I think it's best you heed my words. This may rely more on a mental state, then modern medication."

He looks back down, as his eyebrows furrow. "Ahh Jade.. It's been a long time. Pity we had to meet again under these circumstances." He says that softly as his hand runs down her arm slowly. He looks back up.

"Both Jade and I have a price on our heads. Different things, of course," Doesn't chuckle, but would have if it were appropriate, regarding his past, "The ones after me have yet to use poisons.. And I'm not even talking about a poison so potent it could but Jade into this type of state."

He straightens, putting his hands behind his back, "We are dealing with smart people... The best medicine here, Friends, is caring." Looks at Raktus, "And Love." His latter words, echoing slightly with spite.

Tobal continued his run down the spiraling walkway, trying to find a way off of it. Speeders zipped this way, and that, going about their business. Clueless, Tobal stopped his run as he noticed a speeder stop to a waving lady, and open its door. The lady climbed in, and the speeder took off.

I need to find one of those. The thought did not occur to Tobal to imitate what the lady had been doing until he was a full three rotations further down the building. When he did realize what he should do, he cursed himself for being so stupid.

With his arm in the air, Tobal stood on the side of the walkway, out of the way of the other pedestrians on the spiral walkway. A speeder soon stopped, and the side door opened. Reaching out Tobal grabbed the hand bar and pulled himself in. The door shut, and the speeder rocketed up into the atmosphere.

“Where ya headed kid”

Tobal searched his memory for where Master Jade had said she had been, but the name escaped him. After twenty seconds of silence, the speeder stopped moving and hovered. The driver looked around to get a better look at Tobal, a cheap cigarra hanging from his lips.

“Ya gota destination, or what.”

Tobal desperately thought, and said the first thing that came to mind. “Where they take sick people”

The cabby blinked, then pulled himself back into the drivers seat. He flicked a few buttons, and Tobal was suddenly closed in from not only the doors, but the driver as well. Pushing, he met resistance. A trap…

Force was applied to him, and Tobal was soon plastered to the seat of the speeder as the driver took her down quickly. Looking out the window, Tobal saw that they were approaching what Jade had said was the law office here. Same symbol as the man they had met wore on his chest, same colors. He thinks I’m either sick, or mad…

**************

Two figures escorted Tobal to the med bay, two very tall, and very strong lawmen. It had taken a while to figure out where Tobal wished to go, but after the mention of the name Jade a query had been made. In a few minutes the officers were ordered to escort the jedi to the hospital, free of all charges.

Even though they now knew a mistake had been made, they weren’t taking any chances. After what Tobal had done to the first officer who tried to cuff him, Tobal would be on their watch list for years.

(OOC: Im bringing another character into this, Amnon Silas Universe. When he arrives, you will find out who he is, if you dont know already. The 2nd person mentioned here may also enter, not sure yet. Depends on how this RP goes. But in order to do what I need to do to have Jadey come out of this, the 2nd person may be required to make an appearence much like Amnon did. :p )

IC: As Jadey's heart rate drops again, this time, more dramatically, she barely whispers not only 2 words, but 2 names from her cracked, dry lips.

"......Am....non.......
......Ame....thyst...."
  • Posted On: Mar 25 2003 5:47am
Amnon sat in his modified YT-1300, It was much like the Millenium Falcon, though instead of smugglers toys, it had more room.. Much like a luxury vehicle, maybe even a home away from home...

He looks around quickly... Jade was in trouble. He had a direct link with her. He stood, and begins to stride out of his room. The doors to it slide open with a his, guards stationed just at the end of a small corridor. He tried to walk by, but their blaster rifles crossed infront of him, allowing no entry, well.. Exit.

"Get out of my way, you tin headed idiots. Amnon snapped at them. The two human guards, with large hats looked down at him a bit.

"We are sorry, but we have orders to keep you confined to your room, Prince Amnon."

Amnon just shook his head and stepped forward. It was to no avail, the guards still refused to remove there guns from his path. A low growl escaped from the back of his throat.

"I won't warn you again.. Let me by, NOW!" Amnon yelled loudly. The anger in his voice reverberated the walls, as well as distorted the matter infront of it slightly, leaving a wavey image in space for less then a second.

The guards knew they were going to be thrashed. But they persisted, ful-filling their duties. "We are sorry, sir."

Amnon couldn't take it. He lifted his hand, as the force seemed to envelope his body. It lifted the two guards off their feet. He didn't even speak as they remained suspended in the air for a few moments.. He threw them back into the wall, each passing out from the blow. Amnon walked past, quickly. He yanked the pilot from the cockpit's main seat, and sat down himself. The pilot merely staring at him in awe.

Amnon flipped a few switchs, and moved the ship in place. He hit the thrusters at a small percentage of power, and begins heading towards Theed, from his orbital position. It took moments, but he was on the ground without any interferance from planitary defences. He stepped out, and headed for the medbay quickly.

Finally, he got to the door, and stepped in. He stopped upon seeing the men in there. His red trench stopped swaying behind him as he stood there. He looks around at each, his grey eyes barely been able to be made out from under the bangs of his silver hair. His lips were persed together, as his eyes narrowed slightly at Heir Raktus. Amnon knew about the mans love interest with Jade.

He walked to the bed, pushing hiw way between Raktus and Tobal, grabbing Jade's hand where Raktus' had been. The whole time, Amnon remained silent.
