That was it. Kerra could take no more of her routine of meditation and serenity. The haunting memory of her parent’s demise took its toll on her training. Without being at peace with what happened she would inevitably be led to the dark side. Inside of her body a stinging hatred for those who were involved in this horrendous act had overtaken her at times.
After having tracked the criminals to a desolate cantina on the edge of a small village of Rodians had been the first solid link Kerra had uncovered. As the now hooded Twi’lek walked along the bar of the cantina she warranted many glances from those around her, she had been entranced by a being. He looked as if he was a twin to the man she had found the mysterious necklace on. Approaching the man at once she gained his gaze, but this was only coupled with a tasteless joke about her species. Pulling the necklace from her an inner pocket of her cloak she cast the necklace forward at the criminal who turned about in a jerking motion but froze when he saw the object which had hit him.
Without warning Kerra was sent into the air after the man had preformed a force push with a great deal of power. Regaining her balance within the air she turned enough to allow her to kick off the wall, dropping back to the ground. The criminal was off running after he had the necklace in his hand, Kerra followed in suit not even noticing the chaos the force move had caused in the cantina. The bar itself was indented after a few bar stools under the command of the force crashed into the metal counter. A few hapless aliens had been thrown across the room as Kerra had but they were not as acrobatically sound as she was and had incurred injury.
The chase intensified as when she was within range of the man he stopped on spot and turned to her, they were alone on a beaten path near the lush foliage; common to Dantooine. The stance he took dictated that this wouldn’t be a simple exchange, he put his right foot back further in a fighting stance as her circled to the left. The moonlight of the dark evening shining upon his back gave him an appearance of that of great evil.
Criminal ~ “You are foolish to have come here, I will be the source of your demise. I feel the force within you but I also sense your anger. My name is Darth Caciest and I shall show you the true power of the Sith.”
All of this information was put aside, to the back of her mind as she felt herself being lifted from the ground, her limbs pinned in place. She was immobilized and as she hung there in mid air she saw Darth Caciest unsheathe a red lightsaber. Watching in vein she saw him rear back and toss the saber towards her but his focus must have been broken by a group of small animals that moved along the edge of the forest. She fell, released from his dark powers as the lightsaber, once missing her by just inches flew a bit further then started back towards her. Summoning her own saber she parted her legs to dodge the saber in it’s path back to Caciest’s hand but before it made it she saw an opportunity and pounced upon it. Seeing the button on the side she, using the force, retracted the blade of saber and pulled the hilt back towards her. Slashing forward she cut it into two leaving it broken on the ground.
Gaining the upper hand in the battle this was when Kerra frightened even herself and tapped into the seemingly endless pit of hatred dwelling within her. She moved with a speed which blurred her movement as she came within range of the Sith, slicing both hands from him. Retracting the blade of her lightsaber she watched as he squirmed in agony. It didn’t bother her as he plead with her for his life; a man who moments ago acted as if he commanded all who surrounded him. Her rage subsiding with her vanquished enemies cries of pain, Kerra in a heartless manner strolled near to the maimed Sith and pushed him to the trunk of the closest tree with help of the force.
“I know you have knowledge of who is behind the murders of my family, I can sense it. Tell me of who contracted his services and you life will be sparred.”
Moving his gaze to her outstretched hand he remained silent for a time until Kerra intensified the power used to pin him against the tree, the air leaving his lungs. Giving him time to breathe again she waited until he opened his mouth, speaking in a respectful tone; a new discovery.
Darth Caciest ~ “In the Coronet Cantina and you will find what you are looking for. A group of unsavory characters who will be near the back, that’s all I can tell you.”
Dropping the fallen Sith to the ground he gasped for breath, obviously the force push was inhibiting his air flow. As he began to get to his feet Kerra brought the blade down upon him once again this time finishing the job, removing his head. After acquisitioning the necklace once again and commandeering a smugglers vessel she had made her way to Coronet, the capital of Correlia. Walking through the entrance of the cantina Kerra sensed a powerful surge of the force, which grew as she neared the bar. There was far too many people in the area to try and draw out the force user so she sat on a chair and watched all those in this place, eager to find the one with the unique ability.
