Since this campaign of destruction had begun, the High Commander of Crimson Imperial Forces had taken three worlds and many vessels for his Empire. It had, thus far, been an entirely fruitful venture during which he faced little to no resistance. This next step, however, he did expect to encounter resistance. These... creatures were nothing if not protective of their home world.

Mon Calamari.

A disgusting race if he had ever encountered one. Completely useless in his eyes. Sure they built vessels which aided the rebellion in their conquest. However, would they now be able to stand against the might of Imperial Warships? He doubted it. It was unlikely that any defense they mounted would even make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

The dark, armor clad, figure stode across the bridge with even steps. His posture, as always, perfectly Imperial Military in nature. The conveyor of death and justice.

Soon they would make, once again, a strategic jump into the Mon Calamari System. Advanced teams provided them with safe coordinates so that they could drop close to the planet without detection.

Dark and imposing, the High Commanders stood upon the bridge staring out a viewport at streaming starlines and a visual extravaganza of light and colors. The Bridge Admiral cleared his throat behind him.

Without turning, Jax responded.

"What is it, Admiral?"

"Sir, we are about to drop to normal space. We will be almost within firing range of the planet the moment we leave hyperspace."

"Good, this shall be another in a long list of conquests for me."

"Yes, sir."

With that, the Admiral turned and left the High Commander to his thoughts.

Moments later, starlines shrank to pinpoints of starlight. The water covered planet of Mon Calamari loomed into view before them. The massive Sovereign Fleet of the Crimson Empire imposing it's might upon the world, known to be staunchly loyal to the New Republic and the Rebellion before it.

Yes.. these.. creatures deserved to die.. and painfully.

His time had come.

His time to serve his master, was now.

It was his time to prove that he was worthy of having the crest of the Crimson forces adorn his uniform. Today would be the day he would prove he had the skill to walk among the ranks of the red.

The time of the Empire, much less his time, was at hand.


He was Maxor Krath, newly appointed leader of the elite Imperial Ghost Squadron. One of the most highly decorated flights of TIE phantoms in the fleet.

He had served the empire for no more than three months, and was a pilot for less than half of that time. Yet his star had risen so unexpectadly fast that is was hard for him not to think that the seniority was watching with keen intent.


Ghost squadron had been posted to the already infamous Sovereign fleet. A honour indeed. Even more so that they had now been chosen to engage in the first series of attacks on Mon calamarian targets. Both himself and those under his command would do nothing but surpass thier abilities to give glory to the empire, he was sure of that. Today they would rain down on the Mon calamarian scum with unrelenting malace and malcontent.

The time of the fish was at an end. A new power was coming to the fore.

There would be no space for weakness, no mercy given.

Maxor the merciless, that's what they used to call me in the guild.


Today they would wipe out a cancer on the galaxy.

Today they would accomplish what thrawn could not.

Today they would kill the Calamarian disease.



Like the brave perfect fighting machines that they were, Maxor's squadron stood ever vigilantly in line waiting for the wise words from thier commander. For they knew the hierarchy. Treat those above you as though they were your God. No less is expected from a soldier of the empire.


"Men, today we go into battle. I want this operation to go smooth. Each one of you is a cog in a machine, and this military machine cannot function to peak efficiency without each and everyone of you operating at the highest level.


The mission breifing is as follows gentlemen.

Our target is the remote northern cal mod sea. Despite it's hostile environmental location at the northern planetary pole, there are a number of largely populated settlements. The foolish enemy have saw fit that these settlements, as substantial as they are still do not require the sufficiant defense as would be neccessitated by such a large settlement.

Our mission is to capitalise on this fatal flaw in thier network and lead the squadron in for a hit and fade mission against thier most highly populated metropolitan areas.

Your orders are simple, we go in under cloak, then once at the destination, proceed to destroy every civilian target that we can.
Cause destruction, cause chaos.

Mainly our mission serves as a divisionary attack, drawing thier forces away from the more guarded cities, in preparation for our main surface attack.


Gentlemen! To your ships!

The high pitched whine of the twelve phantoms under his command grew louder with each passing second.

The lights from his controls bathed his imperial flight suit in a deep red glow, which shown through the lens of his helmet.



One by one, each member of ghost squadron took to the air, and floated effortlessly from the hanger bay and out into the darkness of space overlooking calamari.

They were but small specs of grey, dashed against the jet black hull of thier mothership, the Dark Prince. The mighty flagship of the fleet, that in it's every sense embodied the empire.


"This is Commander Krath, all fighters report in."

Each member of ghost squadron began to sound off, letting Krath hear the thirst for battle in thier voices.

"Activate your cloaks, and radio silence will commence until we are within range of our targets.


For glory . . .for the Empire!
