Getting out of the Temple.

Jordan had not really left the Jedi Temple. He wished to train to become a Jedi and didn't know about anything else. He had just been informed about other things to do and places to see. So Jordan went out to meet new people.

Jordan got along with Wookies very well and all species for that matter. He left the temple and started to walk around the wilderness, hopefully coming to reach a town or city of sorts to meet some people.

Theed, Naboo.

Callista's gray eyes gazed with great determination onto the knife that was carefully set within her hands. The blade had gone a bit dull several days ago and she was only now just sharpening it, as best she could, at least.

The young Jedi Padawan tended to be a bit of a procrastinator sometimes. Her mind often wandered to other ideas, and before she knew it, whatever she wanted to do before got put off because of something else worth greater interest to her.

She'd wanted to trash the knife long ago, but never did. The owner of the blade who had handed the weapon off to her had been rather an important figure in her life. For this reason, she could not bare to part with the knife.

She'd dreaded replacing the handle of the weapon, but ended up doing so, anyway. The knife needed a great deal of repair, if not, it would not be able to be put to use. So she'd replaced the handle, keeping the old one for herself as a token of remembrance.

Callista had not used the knife in a good long while, reason being, she hadn't a need to use it. She knew with the change in repair though, that it needed to be tested out. She didn't want to have a blade that wasn't as good as her old one.

She'd picked a spot that was rather open, away from people. The bench she was sitting on was pretty close to a tree or two. She intended to use one of the tree trunks as target practice, her aim, she was sure, had become a little rust from long spans of non use.

There was just one thing the smoky brown haired woman forgot to do as she threw her knife.....

...look for people that might be walking by.

The knife just barely flew by the man that happened to be walking through Callista's range of target, missing him by just a few inches.

The man, whether in shock or disbelief, stopped dead in his tracks. He appeared almost frozen like, yet nothing on his face held any sign of fear, he just appeared a bit shaken up.

The knife...well, despite what had happened, the knife hit its target.

"Um, sorry...really sorry about that," Callista said with a little bit of embarrassment contained on her face. She began to look Jordan up and down, as if half expecting him to be wounded somehow.

"Are you alright? I didn't hit you did I?"

From what Callista had seen, it hadn't looked like she had hit him, but looks could be deceiving sometimes....

Jordan looked at the knife in the tree. He pulled it out and handed it to the woman.

"No, you did not hurt me. I am Jordan. Pleased to meet you."

Jordan offered his hand as a gesture of good faith.

Callista clasped onto his hand with a firm yet warm grasp.

"Good, glad to know you're alright. I'm pleased to meet you as well, Jordan. I'm Callista Ming..."

She pondered telling the man more about herself, and she had almost decided to tell him more. However, something told her she shouldn't, after all, it wasn't everyday that some woman tried to accidently kill him out in the open. She doubted that he would want to hear anything about her.

"Where are you headed?"

"I am just walking around. Are you a Padawan as well? I would like to know more about people here."

The smoky brown haired woman's eyes met his, she smiled lightly with a small nod of her head.

"Yes, I take it that you're a padawan as well. It's good to see that we have something in common."

Callista's eyes parted from his so that she could take a moment to look around.

"There isn't much to see here, really."

Her eyes fell onto him yet again.

"Why would you want to look around here when there is a whole galaxy out there to see? There are plenty more places of greater interest than Theed, Naboo."

"I want to look around here because I don't want to spend my whole time on Naboo just in the Jedi Temple. I want to get out and meet new people."

Jordan turned his head with a lock of his brown hair falling in his face. He brushed it aside and turned back to Callista.

"This place also reminds me of my home, with all of the wilderness and wildlife. I grew up on Kashyyyk. I used to live some where else before that but my parents were killed by a bounty hunter and I was sent away on a ship and ended up on Kashyyyk. There a wookie named Lowbacca took me into his home and raised me."

Are there any Wookie Jedi, Padawans or Masters out there?

"I know I just met you but, would you like to come to the Rebel Cafe with me for dinner some time?"
