Freedom of the Opressed

Night the dark was chilling matched only by the hordes of Imperial ships around him. Eltio Venr stumbeled across the tarmac of the Grallia Spaceport. Of to his right on the southern perimeter he could see the flashed of light where his comrades were attacking the perimeter diverting imperial equipment and attention. Around him the shadows seemed to move prompting him to stop and look around afraid that there were more stormtroopers out there. Maybe they were following him. He'd left enough blood behind from his blaster wound in the leg. But no there were no glimpses of ivory armour nor were there the sounds of heavy footsteps and hoarse breathing. Those dreaded sounds associated with the Dark Lord Of the Sith Vader. He was on hand to observe the "pacification" of Ralltir. But really he was just here to terrorize even more souls then Lord Tions task force was terrorizing know. Venr had vital information. Information the Princess Leia Organa must know. Information that could quite easily spell the end to the Rebellion. Up ahead he could see the CR-90 Corvette resting lightly on the tarmack. All it needed was the information that they'd been alerted to pick up. He was so close yet not close enough as he began to hear the first echoing sounds of stormtrooper footsteps. They must have picked up his trail somewhere. Ahead of him a rebel soldier appeared out of the darkness with his blaster rifle pointed squarly at Venr's head.

"I...I will dwell in this land." croaked Venr

"Who are you?" demanded the soldier not lowering his rifle

"Th...The Shiek of Mi...Midian." gasped Venr

The soldier nodded and lowered his rifle. Suddenly a group of 5 other soldiers appeared around him. Immeaditly they used they're portable field stretcher and forced Venr to lie on it despite his protests.

"Hurry. The stormtroopers are coming." said the soldier that Venr had first met obviously the commander of the squad

Jogging quickly but lightly so as not to disturb they're load the soldiers boarded the Corvette Tantive IV and blasted off to the stars where other pieces of a gigantic game that would determine the livelyhood of hundreds of citizens and Imperial Procedure towards one specific planet were already moving.

ooc note:this doesn't involve TNO in any way shape or form this is kind of a prelude to the story

Former Senator Garm Bel Iblis looked around him as he boarded his space ship. All around him were imperial troops and intelligence agents looking for him. He'd just narrowly squeaked by Ysanne Isard and he had no intention of running into her again. All he had to do was transport these datacards to Kothlis were a group of Bothan Intelligence Officers were waiting to decode the information. He entered his ship and closed the hatch. The second the hatch was closed he started jogging towards the cockpit. Being in a rush wasn't permitted when you could be seen, but nobody could see him know. As he got to the cockpit he automatically looked around for a hidden attacker. But nobody was there. Quickly he sat in his seat and began powering up the controls. He looked around at the various other ships. The imperials had finally lifted the cordon on the spaceport and you'd expect for their to be an influx of ships taking off and landing. But no on Darknell there wasn't enough traffic to support more than 1 mechanic capable of refueling ships. You didn't even have to request clearance to take off or land. All you had to do was take off and go which was the way Garm preferred it. Slowly he powere up his repulsorlifts angling his ship on a 30 degree angle. Then smoothly he increased power to the engines leaving behind a new layer of soot on the black duracrete. As he pulled out of atmosphere he could see the warships orbiting the planet. Even in a time of crisis they couldn't send a Imperial Star Destroyer here because that would be much too far out of the norm. All they had was 1 Victory Star Destroyer and assorted frigates, gunships and corvettes. Up ahead he could see the break in their line where the imperials allowed ships to pass in and out. There was something about space travel that Garm loved. Maybe it was the silence, only the rumbling of the engines and the hiss of the life support system. Then as Garm passed the warships and began to activate his hyperdrive the thrum of the engines changed. It increased becoming higher and higher. Then suddenly it stopped and resumed it's deep grumbling as the ship shot into hyperspace away from Darknell and the Imperials searching for what he had in his pocket.

Bria Tharen stood on the Bridge of her corvette. Around her were members of her elite fighting force Red Hand. Their hate for slavers unrivaled they'd just completed the liberation of Ylesia from the Hutt masters there. Soon she would have a new mission. But for know she stared out of the bridge window where the Millenium Falcon had been just moments before. She stood there bitting her lip to stop from crying. She'd wanted Han to stay. But she couldn't give up freeing the people of the galaxy from the empire. But Han couldn't join the Alliance. It was for the best she thought knowing that all she was doing was lying to herself. The Galaxy needed her to stop slavery. That was her goal. Little did she know that in carrying out her goal she'd save millions of people and sign the death sentence for millions of others giving the empire the idea to enslave a whole planet. Topwara.
