The Power Office, as it was called, was on the top floor of the LFX Building, located deep within the metropolis that was Eriada City. This officer was perfectly circular, lined with windows that gave the occupent an uninterupted view of the cityscape. Not that, for the most part, Seti Ashar had time to enjoy the view. At the front of the office was a single transparent turbolift tube, that rose only six floors from the guarded entry below. The office was a refuge, and only the most important guests and employees were welcome.
On the floor beneath was the Meeting Hall, a large room, also circular, where delegates could meet in larger numbers and discuss anything and everything. Below that was a level of large offices for the most important employees, and further down was the corporations various other offices, libraries, and whatever else was deemed neccessary. The entire section of the building was accessable only to the highest ranking members and most priveleged guests. Each floor was lavishly decorated in the style of one planet, ranging from Naboo to Tattooine and anything in between. Decorations were changed four times a year, the old ones being sold or placed on auction.
But the most important section of the LFX Building was not the Power Office, or the Top Floors, but the bland and empty basement, secreted away from all others by a layer of blast doors, where the elusive and unknown Shadow Hand was located. To most, the Shadow Hand, or Shadow Division, was an extension of the Department of Defence and the Intelligence Sector, a meeting point between the two.
They didn't know the half of it. Shadow Hand was the best of the best, agents drawn from everywhere to become one with the Shadow Hand. Its people, Agents, Operatives, and the esteemed Executor's, performed the most crucial missions of the former GDI, and in many respects they still were the Defence Initiative. Lingering remains, if you will.
And in the depths of the Shadow Hand, they waited...
