A trickle of blood.

A spattering of crimson on the concrete.

The foul green mould covering Nar Shadaa undercity pulsated and reacted when touched with little droplets of blood.

It was as if the very pavings underfoot were brimming with an unnatural life.

Like a scared rabbit, a figure dashed through the shadowy streets down in the dark depths of the gaming district.

Away from the buzzing annoyance of neon and greed ran Burt Kazar. A gambling man for most of his life, however tonight, his luck had ran out.

When Burt had abused his minor force abilities to the extent where he had begun to use them to aid his gambling addiction, all bets were apparently off.

Acting on a reliable tip-off, management of the 'Rebel's Fortune' casino arranged for the young welp to be "taken out" in accordance with his crimes.

As Burt did every night, he would stride defiantly home from his routine acts of casino rape along the undercity walkways that sprawled as far as the eye could see, forming the interwoven underbelly of the planet. However, on this particular night, the Bounty Hunter's Guild had dispatched an agent to 'deal' with unfortunate Burt and his gambling affliction.

This particular assassin, known only as the Nightcrawler, specialized in the dismembering of Force Sensative Criminals. Only he displayed a cold, unforgiving ruthlessness, unseen since the days of Montross and Jango Fett.

Well equipped and a deadly combatent to boot, the Nightcrawler had etched the first mark in the tapestry of young Burt's demise, by downing his prize with a frighteningly accurate blade throw, that had embedded itself deep in the knee of the gambler.

A trickle of Blood.

With every limp, the serrated blade ground away at the flesh of Kazar's leg.

His body, its viens rapidly draining of blood and fluid, moved sluggishly along a cold streetway as a wind began to rauciously roar down from the canyon-esque monolith's above.

The Nightcrawler stalked his prey with slow methodical precision, the cold exterior of his masked face matched only by the icy blowing of the wind as it harped against his exposed flesh.

He raised his arm and extended the elongated barrel of a bryar-77 blaster pistol toward his quarry.

"Please . . .I was going to stop taking the money . . .please . . .don't kill me.

I'm worth more to you alive!"

"You're worth enough . . .

dead."

He pulled the trigger and released a shot that went unheard as it raged on relentlessly through the narrow, winding streets of Nar Shadaar.

Staring at a beeping warning light on his wrist, the Nightcrawler tapped it, producing a small holoscreen.
