Business is Business

His Lambda Shuttle was the finest in the galaxy to most. To others it was the lowest form of wouldbenss there could ever be. But to some...it was a deadly weapon that could cause the greatest of damage with such a short amount of time it was not even funny. Except to the one attacking.

Maladwen had dubbed it the Lurking Shadow due to its rumor of having a cloaking device, and to mix up his family name.

The ship slowly eased over Bilbingri at this point, for he was here to make a deal. The Bilbingri populace had suffered a ferocious attack by Admiral Joe Schmoe during the Chimeran Civil War in an attempt to keep Emperor Fearsons from attaining the shipyards there.

It was a smart strategic move...but political backlashes always came back to bite him...hard. Like when he needed to test his newest bioweapons he chose to launch them on his own people, and then used them to try and force the Rogue Empire back from Sluis Van...only further contaminating the already wrecked planet.

But the Vice President of Maverick Munitions Incorporated certainly wasn't here to discuss the political contraversies of a long dead tyrant, but was rather here to discuss a business deal that would certainly solidify Bilbingri's place as a shipyard state once again.

Stroking a hand over his blast sword, Maladwen turned to face the CEO that was traveling with him in the Lurking Shadow.

"Well what do you think John...think they'll just fall right for us?" he asked with a delightful grin.

Petroski sat in the Lambda, playing an ancient strategy game against a computer opponent set on it's highest difficulty. He was thoroughly bored, defeating the machine again and again. Stretching, the ever-dapper looking human yawned and looked up towards the cockpit. John could see Maladwen's profile, and he had one of those looks that meant he was probably thinking about his baby, the ship. This brought a smile to the businessman's face, Shadowlurker always thought of his ship as the best in the galaxy, though that was a common thread between most ship owners actually.

Personally, Petroski was a bit cramped. He usually prefered a larger ship, such as his LY-3000, the "Intricate Facade". There was just something about having more room when he was traveling that he liked. And of course, the extra space also played a part in one thing he and Maladwen did have in common. That was tinkering with thier ships. It was actually a fairly common occurance back on Fedje for the two of them to go missing from thier offices on slower days, to be found in the hangers, waist deep in access panels of their various craft.

Behind the Vice President, John could see the atmosphere of Bilbringi looming up before the forward viewport. It really was horrible what had happened to the people there. The Chimeran Syndicate's attack there had first massacred the defense forces, then laid waste to Bilbringi's primary industry, the shipyards. Parts of those massive yards had fallen to the planet, devastating sections of the planet and spewing noxious chemicals all over, killing people and ruining cropland. Since then, despite the massive work done by the people and various philanthropic organizations, the planet had never gotten back on it's feet. MMI was here hoping to change that.

At this point Maladwen spoke to him, grinning as he sometimes did, a grin that always had John wondering what was going on in his head. Turning the game off, Petroski smiled a little and habitually checked himself in a nearby mirror. "Well Mal, I certainly hope so. You and I both know they need this, let's just hope they do too. Ohh, and maybe let me do the talking this time? Rather than try the same tactics you did with KDY." Now the CEO grinned with a twinkle in his eye. That had been quite an event, that was for sure.

He was just reaching down for another cigarra when the cockpit came over the headspeaker.

"We have permission from the Bilbingri Security Force to land sir, best buckle up in your crashwebbing," they said over the staticy speaker. Maladwen merely nodded. There's something I forgot to add to...

The Shuttle began to pull in forward as the wings began to crevice themselves above the head of the Lambda Shuttle.

"Well now...you ready John?"

OOC: Temporarily on hold until I can speak with Maladwen, I discovered an error in our story that will require some substancial editing.
