Artesian Engineers, History

Five years ABY, a group of low profile, yet experienced engineers, developers, and construction workers, disappeared.
Little is known about their present whereabouts, yet it is rumored that the planet Daluuj has become inhospitable to outsiders.

Daluuj, the planet is a constant storm. Sensors cannot operate, and mean visibility range is around twenty meters. Not the place you would normally want to go to for a vacation. However, a smaller known fact about the planet is that it was occupied by an Imperial remnant, which was fleeing the Rebellion. This remnant did some mining, and discovered that this planet contained three incredible metals. These metals, when mixed, can produce alloys that compete easily with the galaxy standards.

This information was transmitted to the main Imperial fleet. Unfortunatly for them, Thrawn rose to power, and in the commotion the information was lost…
To all but one.

Dr. Tal Fondeau discovered the planetary information when doing research on minerals. He deleted all reference to the discovery that he could, and kept it under his belt. Two months later, he and a goodly amount of scientists vanished.

Now, rumor begins to spread again…

“EH?” The fat man shouted, his voice barely making it over the noise of the crowd, band, and firing range. “I CAN NA HERE YA LADDY!”

The two were standing in the middle of an entertainment house, having just bumped into each other. The shorter one, his face cowled shook his head in frustration, and turning, left. The fat man watched him go, shaking his head, beard and triple chins shaking as he did so. “I’M SORRY SUR, HERE’S YER ORDAR”

The raucous sounds emanating from the tall building faded away as the 1.62 meter, cowled being walked out. Swathed in a black robe from head to foot, and as slim as a stick, he strode down the street, moving to the next entertainment house. This one, the HEJEMTY, was slightly quieter than the previous experience. Ducking through the low door, the figure entered.
It may have been quieter, but it was no less crowded. Pushing, and shoving, with strength far beyond what his slender frame depicted, he made his way to the bar. Long and slick from countless beings resting their body appendages upon it, the bar was just the right height for the average humanoid. Resting his clothed arms upon it, the being looked at the barkeep.

*Formet, thick*

The voice was low and scratchy. The barkeep looked at the figure, and shrugged. His slightly pudgy hands punched at a control pad, stood for a second, then removed a large frosted glass from beneath the bar. Placing it in front the figure, he turned to leave. A hand upon his sleeve dissuaded him from doing so, and he returned.

Yeah, wadda ya want.

*heard any news*

Lot’s of it. What’s it to you.

*I need some specific news*

Perhaps I can help. Spesific about what.

*A planet. A group. A… scientist group…*

That type of news eh? Well, let’s see…

The Large man seemed to wind up, like a clockwork toy. He began to speak, and went on speaking for over an hour. Apparently he wasn’t really needed at the bar, or the attendants were used to the windy ness of their boss, for they didn’t make mention of his not working. The being listened carefully, filing all the information away in his brain for future use. Only once did he stop the man.

*Daluuj? Strange name*

Yeah, they say the place is constantly storming. Water coming out of the sky like blaster bolts out of a cannon.

At the end of the hour, the barkeep looked at the crono on the wall. Muttering about the time, he left the being, who finished his drink and left.

Once in the street, the being broke into a swift trot, making a beeline toward the spaceport. His journey was just beginning.
