<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Everything was going according to plan. Their Ssi-ruuk masters assumed that this was going to be a simply scouting mission with nothing out of the ordinary happening, but Mariani knew different. The old fighter was well hidden in one of the cargo holds on the ship, ready for her to take off. She was going to escape and it was going to be today. Being the personal slave of Shreeftut Bluescale, all the other slaves saw her as a leader and did whatever she told them to do. One of the women that was about her size and her same age had even volunteered to die so that it would appear that Mariani had died so that the Shreeftut would not come looking for her. She smirked to herself as the Wurrif-class Light Cruiser took off. Everything was planned down to the last second. Being the Shreeftut's personal slave, Mariani was privy to information that the other slaves did not have. In a matter of hours, the ship would be under their control and not long after that she would be gone and on her way to a new life of freedom. <!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

*Sniffs the air, slashing her tail slowly back and forth. She really didn't want to be on this scouting mission, she could think of many other things she'd rather be doing instead. The crew and slaves had all been boarded, and she gave the go-ahead to take-off. Walks up to the control panel, tail still slashing the air. Everything was going to plan, this was a simple mission after all, and soon it would be over.*

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Mariani tried to hide a smile as she ship took off. She needed to make sure that she could get to the fighter and off the ship immediately after reverting from hyperspace in the system they were scouting. She slowly made her way down to the hold where the fighter was hidden. Everything was in place. As soon as she gave the signal, the slaves would start the revolt. She couldn't believe they were all willing to risk their lives just so she could get away. She knew as soon as they were recaptured they would all be killed and she said a silent prayer that they would all go peacefully and without pain. She looked over at a canvas tarp that was laying behind some crates. In that tarp was the body of the woman that was to be mistaken for her. They had looked almost identical in every way and the woman willingly gave her life so that Mariani could escape without pursuit. She walked over and kneeld down, saying a silent prayer for the woman's soul. Then she made her way back up to the bridge. <!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
