Must have missed the Halo 2 thread... heh heh..
I've got one but alas, I have not played Fable.
My meager amount of games consist of:
Halo
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell 2
Rainbow Six 3
Battlestar Galactica (I must have been drunk)
Desert Storm II
Ghost Recon
KOTOR (not finished)
and on Monday: Halo 2
So, how is Fable?

Damalis, if you're either drunk or brave, go talk to Zark, I think he's the current Fable junkie around here.

Former Fable junkie. It just didn't occupy me for very long. Oh, the price of owning Morrowind. But yes, I own it. Bought it a day or two after it came out.

I didn't play it myself, but I watched as other people played it at a friend's house. It looked very cool. Last time I checked up on my friend, he was married to three wives, and was going after a fourth one, some rich busty girl living on the north side of some town that he had to complete a lot of tasks in order to win her heart, including whipping some obnoxious black dude in battle armour who's time is quoted to have come and gone. The colloseum where he did battle looked and played cool, the monsters are cool, and come in several breeds, with several ranks among the breeds, such as regular monster mosquitoes, big monster mosquitoes, and boss monster mosquitoes. The effect of firing of spells is pretty awesome, lightning personally is my favorite, but my friend prefers fire blast or whatever (go figure). We also like to have contests to see who can kick the chicken the farthest, and who can kick the bloody severed head of a bandit the farthest. Fun, Fun game.

First person shooter? No. Fighter? Yes. The difference between Fable and other RPGs is this: stats in Fable determine how well you hit the opponent. Stats in other RPGs determine if you hit the opponent at all.

see, I don't like fighters unless their turned based... I prefer strategy adventures and kingdom building... I just like the idea they keep talking about in the commercials, where you character changes appear and such based on actions...

Yeah your character does change over time, or rather, very quickly, when you press a button at the secret Wizard's Union Alliance whatever headquarters. My friend only played it for about a month before moving on. It has some new interesting stuff that grabs you, then it kind of wears off.......
