Since I know that Dolash, Vance, and myself have Warhammer Online and now all have a Destruction character on Azazel, decided I might as well make a thread about it.
My character is Gritgutz, a Black Ork.
My thoughts so far on the game are the graphics capture the art style of the Warhammer universe quite well. I think that the animations and textures could still use some work however. There's still a number of broken things graphically but I think they'll be corrected in later patches.
PVE is much the same as any other MMO. Go here. Kill X amount of Y. Return to NPC x. The thing that they present to the PVE that makes it stand out however are the public quests. If you can get the numbers, they lead to a fun experience with some flair. People can come and leave when the so please and lets it be an easy way to pick up 'raid style' quests from start to finish. The downside is IF you can find the numbers. The further you get, the less and less people you find doing public quests thanks to the infamous curve of MMOs (Many lows, few m ids, .and a huge number of max levels).
RVR is where the game shines however. It cuts out the mindless 'I leave the town and get ganked by a 70 rogue' you get from WoW with some objective based gameplay which means ganks are few and far between until the last maps which are almost all RVR. Secondly, RvR levels you to a few levels short of the max level cap for the area with a 'bolster effect'. You and your items get strengthened to as if they were 'x' levels higher. This lets you not be complete fodder even when you first enter a zone. On the other side, it blocks heroes of more a tier above you (IE 21+ can't enter the newbie rvr zone) that way you don't have incredibly high levels camping.
The bolster effect is also in the incredibly fun scenarios. You can join the queue for each one in your tier, and they all offer different styles of play. It's generally not too long to join a scenario and they normally don't take any more than 15 minutes.
In RVR you accumulate renown which is your equivalent to reputation and stuff in other games except in one nifty place. Renown is used to buy gear from RvR vendors. RvR gear is normally better than what you'll find doing most anything else.
So if you want to join the WAAAGH! let me know.
