California will, in the near future, suffer a major earthquake and slide completely into the ocean.
Tsunami death toll soars over 117,000
Or maybe the ocean will slide into California!
Demos is Canadian, Kraker.
EDIT: And if California ever moves as the result of earthquakes, it'll be toward Alaska, not toward the ocean.

What would be cool if it split right along the fault line, or continetal plate border, and the half inland sank down and formed a large fresh water ocean, and the other half near the pacific rose up and sat on top the right side one, forming the world's highest mountians/plateau.
California has a very high alert rate for natural disasters.
I hate to say it but I didn't realize it was possible to concentrate as much industrial strength ugly into one person as they did into Maynard James Keenan. Normally I wouldn't mock rock stars just for being ugly but I find Maynard so totally obnoxious and condescending that I just can't take it anymore. I find the man personally offensive.
you wanna talk massive waves? Hurricane Ivan brought in some 60 footers...
Anyways tsunamis can be caused by more than earthquakes. Weather, volcanic eruption, and other occurances causing huge shifts in water placement can result in tsunamis.
The effect causing this one is similiar to someone who is in a pool and then they submerge where pressure entering an area of water (in this case the tectonic place sliding under another) caused the water to be forced rapidly out of where it was over the plate and take off pushing all the water around. Consequently, the water built up and took off until it was settled.

Yeah but typically due to it's location, frequency, and effect of aftershocks, earthquakes cause the most devastating tsunamis. Take a glass of water. If you blow on it, suck on it, or spit in it, such as effects from hurricanes, volcanoes, and meteors, the water would be disturbed, but not as much as taking the whole glass and shaking it around.
