TRF 5 is currently in development. It will be equipped with a slick new design, functioning features and then some! I'm pretty excited about some of the features, and as they get closer to completion I'll be rolling out some screenshots as teasers.


TRF 5 will be the 5th major revision we have undergone. All of our previous revisions were mostly rule based. Check these puppies out for old times sake:

For TRF 5 Seth will be cleaning up the current rules and guides to make them more concise and user friendly. Currently, no rule revisions are planned. If there are some gameplay updates that you would like to propose, this is a good time to start such discussions. This update is currently focused on software -- updating TRF to the current century in terms of design and features.


As of this writing, TRF is over 9 years old. While the original content is lost to the sands of EZ-Board, the first recorded post (that we have left) on TRF was created at 7 minutes to midnight on a Sunday night, October 28th, 2001. If you are feeling *really* nostalgic, check the post out. ;) In 274 days we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. To celebrate hitting a decade, we should do something special. Ideas?

Really, though, tenth anniversary? That's cool. We should indeed do something special.

It would be interesting to see an experiment where we go dual version and incorporate an old classical bean-counter style RPing sub-forum just below Battlegrounds and then try to convert the attracted members into regular RPers, as there are almost no sites on the web that do that anymore, but I'm pretty sure all of us would go stir crazy with the old style OOC arguements that would ensue, so I won't suggest it. But there is a possibility of an untapped membership field out there. :glance

10 years is quite an achievement! Especially since there are those out there who thought we wouldn't last a week.

Kudos to every TRF'er who RP'ed here and contributed in their own way, and Kudos to those still here doing so.

Hmm.. maybe make T-Shirts TRF 5 on front, 10th Anniversary on back with list of characters that made TRF what it is..

I'd wear the t-shirt. Also, I'm not sure how much extra you'd be paying for cross-border shipments, but I'm on a border town, so I'd be fine with picking up the t-shirts for the Canadians on the US side of the border, then remailing them to the rest of the Canadian players. Either way I'd have mine mailed to the US side, I'm in the States fairly frequently anyway.
