Anyone seen it?

I enjoyed it, thought the kid who played Kirk was good actually.

Noted he'd been studying ol' Bill's mannerisms , some nice touches here and there.

Eric Bana was unrecognisable as himself, and it wasn't just the make-up.

Not sure about Simon Pegg as Scotty tho... to me he'll always be Shaun of the dead man...

Question is tho, what next?... O.o

Saw it on IMAX last night and thought it was great. Had a few issues with the time travel, but I think it's pretty much impossible to work time travel into a movie without me going "wait a minute, this and this don't make sense here..."

I agree about Kirk, Vinda. He seemed especially like him there at the end.

8.5/10

Definitely better than the other Star Trek flicks, and much better than the Star Wars prequels.

I liked it... I was hoping for an over-the-top villain but the story was about the crew and the villain was just window-dressing. Guess we'll see a villain with more of an impact in the next movie perhaps.

I still like Wrath of Khan better but this new movie was right up there.

Generations? Are you kidding me?

The Vulcans are saddened at being so devalued by Om.

That and shudder in fear of something that'd have more impact.

It was surprisingly good.

Though I really have to wonder why a civilian mining ship has so many torpedoes....

Wasn't the Death Star a mining facility too? :p

Yeah, I'm with you on both counts.

Generations was lame, due to the very lamey way they killed Kirk, lame.

Two legends of Trek in one film , and they manage to screw it up. Lame.

Also, yes I did feel Eric's part in it (as good as he was) was very light.

They built him up, and then we never really saw a great deal, which was a shame, because I think it could have been much better if we had. Another lost opportunity.

..and yes Daemon time travel is always a tricky subject , and in trek always seems more complex than it needs to be, and thats aside from whether it makes sense or not, which it didn't.

BAH it was rubbish!

Don't go and see it.

lol

Generations is bester because:

Data: Life forms! You tiny little life forms! You precious little life forms! Where are you?

And other clever lines by our favorite emotionless android. So there.

Also Malcom McDowell. And Willy Shat. So there.
