Personally I dont like the look of it, they changed the entire story to fit in one good actionpacked movie.
1. Humans didnt create the Cylons, there was an elder race that created the Cylons that supposedly died off (which actually didnt, but lead the Cylons in secret).
2. There were no humanoid Cylons until series #2 (Battlestar Galactica 1985) and then there was only one, the rest were more gold leader type cylons.
3. Fighter pilots were all men untill the need for a backup force arose later on in the series.
Its just too contradictory to be good to me anymore. Like George Lucas making a Star Trek movie or vice versa...
