I watched reloaded for the first time last night, bought it on DVD and played it loud. I must say, it wasn't too bad. The thing I was looking forward too the most was the brawl scene. I had read a lot about the scene, and how incredible the technology they used to duplicate Neo and Smith and make'em fight was. As I'm sitting there watching the fight begin, I'm thinking 'wow, this is pretty good. I can't tell the difference!'

Then, BAM! IT LOOKED LIKE SHREK!

Talk about deflating my expectations. I'm serious, the CG rendered parts of the Brawls scene look like Shrek, or a glorified Half Life 2. I was very disappointed.

However the end made up for it, with the explanations of the matrix, and the final ending confirmation, for those that didn't quite catch what the Architect meant.

All in all, a good flick. The sexual scene could have been omitted, the whole Zion party was rather dumb, point deductions for that. There was less blatant out-of-place profanity that I saw, points added for that. Lots more kung-fu, points added there, though one begins to wonder if the machines have a kung-fu fetish. Neo did the superman thing, has telekinetic powers, and in general could have been a lot badder...

I await Revolutions eagerly.

People shouldn't be subjected to such things.

Sex should be in every movie just so that stupid kids can't get in to see them and religious people will be offended.

The movie blew a goat, let's face it. That dance scene was just asinine; the Merovingian was so annoying that, even though it was done intentionally, it was unforgivable; and everyone stopped every two minutes to give a verbal essay on the same bloody topics. As if everyone in the futuristic world talks like an aging hippy teaching high school philosophy. There also needed to be more profanity. This isn't a cartoon, people, let's break out the f-word once in awhile.

Good points: Monica Belluci, highway chase scene, explanation from Architect, and Smith (also known as Jesus). Smith is the @#%$ man. The Matrix films would've all sucked without him.

I'm still getting it on DVD. :D

Actually I could have done without the sex scene too. Keanu naked is just... yeeesh.

It was nice to see Morpheus kick some ass with the agent rather than get his ass kicked as in the first movie.

The Merovingian was lame.

Overall, I did like Reloaded but not as much as the first. The previews to Revolutions though look very good.

But then, they always do..

I think Merovingian is going to play a large part in Revolutions.

Go see Kill Bill, they swear, there's blood (fuckin' bucketloads) and chicks . . .
