*also does happy dance*

We finished the River Kwai mission. Found out there was a rock we had to push to knock down the tree over the bridge to open the path.

And saddly to say, thats game. Credits begin to roll after that mission is finished...so Ravnos and I beat the game today...

We were gonna start it on normal difficulty, since we thought it was on easy, found out it was already on normal, so were gonna try it on hard next...

I beat Fall of the Philipines finally. Had to go into the building next to the tank then head to an old baseball field and take out the comm tower. On to the next mission.

I too beat the River Kwai mission last night.

I was shocked the game ended so abrubtly.

*nods to jade and bumps up the difficulty*

Frontline was better . . .

D-day beats pearl harbour with a stick.

Wasn't allied assualt just the PC version of Frontline?

No way.

Allied Assault had totally different missions. It was more of a squad based warfare with one covert op, while Front Line was more covert op with one or two squad based warfares.

Allied Assault was kind of a "this is what it's like to be a soldier in World War II" as opposed to "this is what it's like to be the elite of the elite of WW II". You play an entirely different character in Allied Assault as well...can't remember his name though.

The first level where you have to take a German held city was a great opening.

Funky, must get a copy.

Pity the console versions are so limited.

Personally if you turned the lights out and cranked up the sound, the D-day level was quite the experience.

I still can't get over how short Rising Sun was . . .

Probably why the chucked the multiplayer section into the game there to beef it out.

They should try to emulate some of the sequences out of "The thin red line", the only level that came close was the Pistol Pete one, tis a personal fave.
