I was just watching episode 3 and happend to think, what if General Grevious's cruiser had been too badly damaged to pull up in time? The General and his staff may have been able to evacuate via escape pod, but running down the elevator shaft like that, say that Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Palpatine were all killed, along with several hundred thousand Coruscanti. What effect would this have had on the Clone Wars? With Sidious dead, what would General Grevious do?

And I was able to determine that it was a Commerce Guild Support Ship being rammed amidships by a Banking Clans Communications Frigate in that big explosion that occurs when Obi-Wan is trying to get a pair of missiles off of his tail.

Grevious would've won the Clone Wars if he wasn't nerfed like they made him for the movie. If he WAS nerfed, he would've been killed, most likely by Windu, and the Republic would've chosen a new elective.

BUT the Republic was still corrupt and such so I could see it having lasted for another so many odd years before another rebellion emerge. Why? Because the Old Republic had indeed grown stagnant. Do you think the member worlds of the CIS joined because they wanted to be evil? It was because they thought they're interests would be better served by being part of a seperate government that was less corrupt (or so most thought). After all, whom fought with Droids and whom fought with living peoples? Clones or not?

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong, this is just my own opinion.

Grievous (of the animated Clone Wars shorts) was pretty spectacular in terms of skill, prowess and power.

Grievous (of the movie) was a fucking muppet.

So yeah.

Edit: This topic could easily be moved to a more fitting forum... *wink*

I know, the actual design of the guy was great!, and he could have been a real badass villain.

Ruined it completely, I was actually looking forward to seeing him onscreen and when I finally did he talked like Skeletor, started coughing and kept scurrying away.

This is the infamous Jedi killer!?

I mean how lame can you get?

Suffice to say the Jedi and their abilities went down considerably in my estimation after witnessing that.
